    Absolutely beautiful weather today in Amsterdam, had a very pleasant walk in the park, will go outside some more in a bit to find a nice spot with a little shade, and I look forward to reading a book.

    I wish everybody here equally good times, take a day to step away from the daily motions and try and enjoy yourselves in the sun.

    @Sirial – Paris is gorgeous today, too! It’s so sunny and just very warm, not boiling hot as it has been. Everyone is promenading and people watching at cafes.

    Its windy / cloudy and reads 24.3c / 48% humidity on the hygrometer, my paints arnt drying out too fast so I’m ok with paint efforts this morning.

    There are historical reasons that go all the way back to Deuteronomy 23:19-20, I’d bet. And I would also bet that Gentile kings went along with replacing tally sticks with the debt-money scheme for political power-struggle reasons too.

    But here’s the key reason you should cool it. If we are to pull out of this mess,

    There are some who like theories, Clay Shirky: “How cognitive surplus will change the world”… but I’m not one of those. I just perfer to believe that authority is a truth as long as U pass the plate, I will keep paying.

    I seldom take a midnight walk beyound the corporate fence, to search for fallow ground. I’m just here to serve the estalblished institutions. and that makes me, a patriot, I suppose.

    @ Sirial – Sounds great. Think I’ll get out later and do the same. Something about the 4th of July approaching and going out into the woods for a little American-style vacation (American-style = driving 4 hours from home, staying for 5 days, and calling it a vacation) put me into the mood to crack open Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States of America again last week.
