    Would be nice to “redistribute the pain” by pulling off massive boycotts, but I don’t think that would ever work here. Europeans & others would have to become convinced to boycott American corps. if we were to redistribute the pain in that way. Here, all we can hope for is that the sociopathic corporate rulers of the state slit their own necks by totally blowing up the economy. And that’s not exactly something to hope for.

    @ ronron- There’s sugar in Mexican Coke. Mexican Coke also comes in the old-stylie glass bottles. They still sell it in some places. It’s at my grocery store. Never bought one though, although I do admit to every once in a while craving a soda that still has sugar in it and not high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, or sucralose. We probably buy five 2 liters of soda a year (only buy it when someone is visiting who drinks the stuff), so it’s not much of a sacrifice to go completely without.

    Makes my heart a little lighter to hear someone speaking of doing WHAT WORKS… even the suggestion of the end of bringing knives to a gunfight… to stop paying so much attention to seeming lofty and dignified, to the exclusion of EVERYTHING else, no matter how dire, no matter how many people die, no matter what atrocities proceed to pollute our home planet.

    It’s SO frustrating! I swing from their earlobes. I tap dance on their foreheads. I scream. I gesticulate. Nothing penetrates.

    The boycott is the way, unless we have big cash or big weapons.
    I’m in the process of research for a film and I’m finding there’s a clear history of win with it.
    It gives the “small people” (thanks Carl-Henric Svanberg) ;-)
    a voice and the ability of direct participation.

    I’m not sure Coca Cola would be my target but it would be a great experiment.

    I was thinking more on the lines of Apple – Designed in Cupertino, CA, Made in Communist China by slave labor who feel their only way out is suicide. Meanwhile unemployment grows in the US…
    Anyway – something to that effect.

    Love to hear more detail on how we could carry this out Max.
