Under Obama, “terrorism” is a brand being marketed. And two, he and the Democrats are counting on his “massive global rock star status” to help them win the mid-terms and in 2012. Everything else literally is secondary.

We need the senate to deal with only with executive appointments, judical appointments and international treaties. These should all require a two thirds majority to pass. They would also have the right to review and override a presidental veto on anything but they would still need 67 out of 100 senators to do so.

i don’t know what the solution is. i would like to say that people need to be more interested in third parties since that is where you really have a choice, but i find that most people i know have an aversion to third parties due to “they can’t win.” people would rather vote for an inferior choice that can win. i noticed in the last election where i live, candidates such as nader and mckinney were on the ballot only as “write ins” you had to ask for the write in list to even know that these choices were available to you. “everything is under control”
