The Swadeshi (Bengali: স্বদেশী, Hindi: स्वदेशी) movement, part of the Indian independence movement, was a successful economic strategy to remove the British Empire from power and improve economic conditions in India through following principles of swadeshi (self-sufficiency). Strategies of the swadeshi movement involved boycotting British products and the revival of domestic-made products and production techniques.

now we have to get Congress to start using this language.
Call your Reps and explain to the people who pick up the phone that what these banks have is a gambling problem.
Keep saying the words gambling problem.
Tell them these bankers need to go to gamblers anonymous. that they have big issues and are not acting responsibly.
Insist that the person who is writing this down or says he will carry the message to the your Rep that they say that the bankers HAVE a gambling problem.
Make them promise to say that to the Rep.
Then call the offices of the more vocal Reps like Gayson, Weiner, Kaptur, Kucinich, Sherman, Paul and do the same. If you don’t live in their district or state and they ask who you are or where your from just say you’re an American Citizen.
I betcha if five people do this we will hear those words in a speech on the floor.

jischinger addiction as you say is the term. You know of the sound buzz that you can buy to get high?
@mae’s fanny – I saw a guy on youtube debunk it.
@Chenjeshu I’ll see your Moyers and raise you Freedom
I believe you, but how many buy the idea and how many really buy the sound byte on credit card. It’s addiction to buying! addiction to buzz words. you seem familiar to computer have you ever talk to zombie IT techs. addicted to buzz words. addicted to new names for doing the same old thing.
I hope i’m not coming across as wiseass, but what deagle was talking about seem to me somehow diluted, but I subscribe to the principle idea, just not his version. take a look at http://www.redicecreations.com full of goodies.

CNBC’s Art Cashin on King World News: “This country is in very difficult straits.”
Old-time market observer and head of floor operations at UBS Art Cashin was interviewed by Eric King over the weekend.
Their conversation covers the continuing deterioration of the economy, the increasing threat of outright deflation – already seen in widespread wage deflation – and the shift of US society to a welfare state. “This country is in dire straits,” he says. “If you ask small businesses why aren’t you borrowing, their answer is ‘send me a customer, don’t send me credit.’”
The interview concludes “the Fed is walking a tightrope in a hurricane and it’s going to be tough.”
The Fed meets tomorrow.

Nothing too deep, i was refering to your post
“I betcha if five people do this we will hear those words in a speech on the floor” and “gambling addiction”. the get high sound byte is another form of addiction, buying addiction, buzz word addiction,…. Clinton said “it’s economy dummy” but it’s not. I say it’s the language and the addictions. if you control the nuances of the language economy follows as long as the critical mass is on your side. Just look what mAx is doing. His revenge on those who did him wrong is fueled by his cunning use of the language (this is based on my profilling max, i could be wrong). look at catastrophist site his got a viral video full of those nuances. which at the first glance seem harmless and even against what the makers really intended to do. but in reality they are confirming and cementing old association and destroying the new emerging associations. Noam Chomsky is a master at that
he has even formulated this so that it can be built into computer algorithms.
Janet hints at that as well:
As max has said” In 1800′s, U.K stopped giving silver to China in trade & gave opium instead.” Today U.S. gives Treasuries. Treasuries=opium, China loses

Mae’s fanny – certainly true in the art world. You cant mistake Caravaggio or Vermeer as genius but they were ‘forgotten’ for centuries – that’s amazing how, why ? Its about who has the power to give value. In our time its important curators of important institutions – this is why its akin to a feudal hierarchy and implemented by a kind of affinity fraud. In my view and opinion Antony Gormley is OK but only OK as an artist however he is a ‘name’ artist why? because of Nicholas Serota. Andreas Gursky is an OK photographer if you know the history of photography you will know the derivative nature of his work – New Topographic’s, Hilla and Bern Becher and that whole influential movement. He was just another one of those but Peter Galassi made him.
Previewing Goldman: The Movie
Ric Burns documentary about Goldman Sachs is imminent. Because as the WSJ revealed previously, the fact that Ric Burns is paid by Goldman Sachs to make a film about the discount window backed hegde fund, in which Goldman Sachs maintains complete editorial control, sure seems like yet another PR fiasco waiting to happen, on par with Goldman making money every single trading day in Q1 (at least they learned their lesson there, and theatrically let a few losses slip in). Just like you, we can’t wait for the final product to finally boost our opinion of the fixed income OTC market monopolist. In the meantime, we present this appetizer as to what the final video will most likely be, courtesy of Minyanville.
Speaking of railways,…..what goes around, comes around,…: )
@mae’s fanny. Thanks for the link. What’s a wiseass in this context?
@Talcot – so am I.
UK House prices are getting KILLED!
I’m totally ignorant as far art is concerned, except perhaps music a bit, but i’ll most certainly look up the names you mention. I have a pretty good gut feeling about genuine beauty. so I hope I can sense what you are refering too in photography. May be I ask you later when I have studied those a little. BTW IR photography is cool!
Thanks for mentioning Caravaggio and Vermeer, especially Vermeer. it was fun looking at their works on wiki. It would have been fun to live in 17th century Holland, I think.
1st, “It’s the economy stupid!” which was said by Clinton’s cartoon campaign manager Chester J. Carville.
Not that it matters, just a side note, if you’re into political trivia you’ll want me on your team.
Along with my earlier forecast regarding Peter Schiff’s Senate campaign I’m also predicting that within the next 5 years the name Chester will be making a come back.
Not sure who ‘Dun Max Wrong,’ but it sounds like it’d make for a very catchy tune.
Buzz word addiction? Buzz words have been around a long long time. How many times a day do you say the word Okay?
“I say it’s the language and the addictions.”
Would you prefer we all speak in the Queen’s English?
(just kidding – I know the Queen would never say that, but I’ll bet you dollars to donuts she’d say, bloody hell!)
“if you control the nuances of the language economy follows as long as the critical mass is on your side.”
If that’s true then yo yo homie we are in big trouble.
“look at catastrophist site his got a viral video full…”
Is this a user here or do you mean the philosophy of catastrophism?
“of those nuances. which at the first glance seem harmless and even against what the makers really intended to do. but in reality they are confirming and cementing old association and destroying the new emerging associations. Noam Chomsky is a master at that he has even formulated this so that it can be built into computer algorithms.”
and are you talking about what is is is?
I think you’re falling off the edge with Max Keiser.I don’t understand what, why or how you are stringing all these thing together, but I suspect either English is not your first language or you are considerably inebriated.
I’ll stop there before I go on.
dan valley “As max has said” In 1800′s, U.K stopped giving silver to China in trade & gave opium instead.” Today U.S. gives Treasuries. Treasuries=opium, China loses”
Not so quick there dan – building a manufacturing infrastructure is worth a hell of a lot more than smoked opium.
We could walk away from our debt – which we will anyway – and China has everything they need to sell to themselves and to the world.
Do you think for a moment if we pay the debt we are going to take our factories and know-how back?
Do you know why only Nixon could go to China?
China did well on this deal and chances are they will also get Taiwan and Tibet without a fight.
No, I says political trivia is dogs bollocks mate!
perhaps you are right, perhaps not. look at New Hampshire Liberty Forum – Stefan Molyneux @ http://freedomainradio.com/videos.aspx i’m sure it will shed better light on the subject matter. also read the post skippy made several threads back. I think it was pure poetry.
mae’s fanny – curators of important institutions can be likened to central bankers – they can make money from nothing – that’s the power they have. The art dealers watch their every move, the hint that an artist is getting their attention and they smell money like a shark sensing blood from 5 miles out at sea. The difference is that there is no inflation question with their value/money creation – it just keeps on getting more and more valuable.
We could still do well if we repented and did capitalism correctly. China has adopted the US fascist model so they will be plagued by the boom-bust cycle. We could move on to genuine capitalism and have sustainable growth instead.
Tee US Govt. sign all the Trade treatys wit EU and China
But if ya can start a movement where Every US citizen burns all products that are not made by a US citezen on US Soil
Tears yer answere too all tis nonsense and I tink its tee only answere
If your Call gets routed here to India stop usin tat Service
And I can bet me ass the Leader of tis movement will and can become the US president provided he dont get wacked
So ta movement should not have a leader
As a summation to this thread,..I’d just like to state :
There are three types of people on this planet,…those who can count, and those who can’t ! : /
Cops Smash Window, Drag Man Out of Car for Not Wearing Seatbelt
Ofc he was drivin on ta wrong side of ta road
I’ve heard Molyneux and I don’t think he has the ability to speak to the common man, but I think he likes to hear himself talk – which is okay by me; I do it all the time, only I don’t get paid as well as he does.
Course, it may just be a matter of taste. If I’m going to listen to someone wax on and on I prefer Hitchens. Personal preference.
I kinda get the feeling that when you speak about language – in particular the English language, you are referring to a polite and civil tongue.
Am I correct?
If I am, then it is the polite thing to do; and language is also associated with deeds – in the common tongue, talk the talk / walk the walk – is or would bee to provide a link to the sonnets of skippy, not imply, go get um yourself.
It’s just good netiquette.
ya know, when in Rome…
Yeh, exactly like sharks they sense it and sometimes don’t even need to talk or send signal, they just know. As dedo says there are 3 types. I call them wolves, sheep and dolphins.
also everything is over-analysed and mechanical. look at this beauty:
i forgot this catastrophist.wordpress.com
ok, I do not, at all, agree with everything stefan says. But I listen pick and pluck the logical arguments you see! And I think he deserve respect and the money he makes. Personally I would like money gone for ever. but that’s another story.
The thing is, now that you know somewhat where place me (categorically) your tone and language has changed. and that is part of the nuances I’m talking about. and you are right, where are my maners, here comes skippy:
the malfunctioning HAL making another line of distinction ?
not sure how much opportunity lies in the google/verizon “acknowledgment” of what is, or what will be I guess I am to understand. but …
.. perhaps, folks seeing this but not seeing the the political and money valuing captures … can be shown this as another confirming way to measure how the people are interacted with … from the system in place/status quo/when HAL is malfunctioning
… more people not seeing the other forms of HAL’s malfunction/capture may get there through entering the NOT net neutrality doorway ?
once through that door are there conduits is in place so that these new folks, if there are any, get the other confirming feedback/tags that HAL is malfunctioning.
from there do they … conclude they are not satisfied with the malfunctioning HAL as they are now measuring too many things with the NOT free to a satisfying degree scale/measuring stick.
how do people having the google/verizon conversation get to asking, given this, how happy are with our current level of freedom ? will they connect to the other dots of invisible chains evidence of capture ?
if we are not to let a crisis go to waste … the more evidence HAL is malfunctioning .. . is another opportunity to pick up folks as we inelastically collide with others, adhering along the way forming a critical mass/collection of folks that do not like what they see passing for, this is the functioning society of our time ?
where do we get our ideas ? it seems so Dark City.
… free falling when captured by gravity … statements that mean the opposite ?
@ F. Beard “China has adopted the US fascist model…”
I predict China will break up into states or territories.
I’d Google that if I didn’t rip Google out of my browser’s innards.
What the hell is genuine capitalism?

But you dont wanna ban derivatives do ya Max?
What the hell is genuine capitalism? jischinger
Good question. One thing it isn’t is an economy with a government backed banking cartel. Another thing it isn’t is an economy with subsidies for business. Basically, genuine capitalism would separate business from government.
“the thing is, now that you know somewhat where place me (categorically) your tone and language has changed.”
you think? shrug. I figure the longer you talk to someone the more you get to know them, isn’t that how it always has worked?
Ever take a train ride across the US? The internet is pretty much like Amtrak.
HAL? like in daisy daisy?
btw, what is your first language?
HAL the computer which controls life system, navigation…..

to answer your question from previous thread, you can’t, not if you are online. all solutions are illusory and at best slow them down. But nature have a solution “crowd” . wolf sheep predator vs. pray look at fishes or gnu’s. and look at techniques “the man” used under G20

Once upon a time….the “Reborn God” really did battle “Satan” in the desert, and the Christians of ancient Egypt depicted it on the walls of the Temple of Edfu in the Egyptian desert. Take a look, fourth photo down:
@ 110 B.C. the temple was built…..Horus battling Set in the desert……in only 110 years or so becomes “Jesus battling Satan” in very same place!!! Wow, is that a funny coincidence, or what? No, it is not.
And that king depicted in the first two photos, of the King with the Upraised Arm” that was to become the image of every Egyptian king? That is Narmer.
Some say the first king, some the second king, some say even the fourth king… I think Narmer and Menes are the same guy…..but either way, he is a very interesting character, this “Narmer.” .Nar Mer, the “MEasureR.”
*Could count, could reason, and think in abstract concepts he had no way to verify: an evolved hominid. That is my opinion.*
More evolved than the people he encountered when he or his recent ancestors ventured south….and conquered this region from one end to the other.. Taller. Stronger. Smarter.
*Kinda like they were the descendants of some hominid that left Africa @ 3 million years ago…got trapped by ice in northern Eurasia…. socialized and mated with the native, more ancient hominid relation we label Neandertal, and survived/mutated while living in caves to survive the frozen temperatures… into a smarter (because Neandertal had bigger cranium capacity to stuff our more advanced brain into) hominid, a much stronger hominid (Neandertals two/three times as strong), paler to absorb more Vitamin D from the weaker sun, and taller to see over the blinding ice sheets. Had to, if you didn’t kill din din, you din eat. They hunted the mammoth to extinction to survive, had to. Only source of protein large enough to see them through the energy expended hunting. My opinion*
Much later, we knew them as “Vikings.” Ever look at a Dane? I always look UP. *How did they evolve so tall, and why? Isolation. Specific evolution to environment. My opinion.*
Those photos on the link above of Narmer from the “Palette of Narmer” residing in the Louvre?
They kinda missed the real important image, somehow……allow me to show you. This is NARMER, the FIRST KING OF DYNASTIC EGYPT: A VIKING KING.
(Yes genius, I know, you are going to tell me “Vikings didn’t exist then” and you are correct. Almost. The LABEL Viking didn’t exist then, okay? I’m just giving you a relative term so you can follow along, I know there weren’t 13th century AD northerners we now label Vikings in ancient Egypt, now stfu. I’m talking location and migration.)
You know what Narmer is doing? Killing his enemies? “Smiting” them??”
Bwahahaha, no. See, this is the great misunderstanding by these modern “experts.” And that they do NOT see it, should really give thinking folks pause. Or maybe they DO see it, but do not want to be ridiculed by peers for veering off-script.
This is the one at the Louvre.
This scene is happening on a Solar Eclipse on December 25, 3117 B.C.
Note the Sun and something about to eclipse it. please, this is an astronomical event being depicted. * I am guessing it is the Moon, since Naram-Sin is a Moon god king.* On December 25. 5127 years ago.
*Sun and Moon=Sol and Mon? Solomon? This is just farang’s WAG on this subject.*
Is this the origin of the MYTH of Solomon, and repeated over and over like ALL Egyptian dynasties did the ancient PATRIARCHS OF EGYPTIAN ROYALTY? This was CUSTOM # 1 with the ancient Egyptian royalty, down to adopting the name of an ancient relative, then acting out the events of that kings life. Fact. So, there easily could have been 3 or 4 or 6 “Solomons” over the eons. It would not be a Throne Name, or proper name, it would be a nickname, they all had dozens of them.
Note: he is “smiting” the 13th warrior, the rest (12 of them) are still fully alive, but “stacked up.” Why?
Here it gets good:
He is “smiting” the old calendar. Killing off the 13th MONTH. The so-called “missing 13th tribe” we still hear about 5 thousand years later…. In other words, for instance, the “Tribes of Israel” were in reality symbols of the astrology religions these various and totally unconnected tribes of this region worshiped (Yes, even your calendar has your third month named after the Roman War god Mars, January is Janus, the two-faced Roman god, etc.)
Capice? Their priests wore astrologically symbolic jewelry/clothing. Each tribe symbolized by a constellation. These high priests of these “Tribes” were labeled “Gadols.” This morphed into another term: Catols. Do you know what word that morphed into??? Straight from ancient Egypt: Cat(h)ol ics.
Anyway…. along comes this much smarter hominid, Naram-Sin.. Taller, stronger, smarter and evidently speaking a Latvian dialect, btw. Yes, “Latvian”, almost 5,000 years ago…in Egypt.
Seems Latvian is an ancient relic of the old Mother Tongue (Indo-European) all spoke, everywhere. And it took someone with an exceptional ability to conceptualize (and the fact he speaks native Latvian didn’t hurt either) to unravel a few linguistic mysteries.
Latvian for the skin of a tree branch is Barak. Ya dig? Is it a Jewish name? An Islamic name?? Name of a sitting Empty Shirt at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.? Yes.. it is, sorry…..bad example.
No, seriously, it is an Indo-European name.
The Bark of a tree, or the perch of a bird. In Egyptian too. If interested, there was a very historically important pharaoh with the symbol of a perched bird…nicknamed “Barak.” Go find it yourself, lazy ass.
Believe me, I could go on and on (and do)……it is quite startling to find our roots……up north. But think: Gobelki Tepi is 12,000 years old, and in Turkey, very close relatively to this region. Someone carved stone temples there way back then. 7000 years earlier than the pyramids.
Found: 5000 year old white skinned, blond haired mummies dressed in plaid made of wool from Europe, with large stashes of marijuana buried with them, found in the desert of China. GRAMPS??? IS THAT YOU????
A fact. I would lay even odds they met Otzi’s people, if not related. One of the females look like she could be Helen of Troy beautiful even after rotting for 5,000 years…amazing, and half the wrld population thinks “Adam and Eve” were our “ancestors” 6,000 years ago?
Bwahahaha, no wonder we stay so confused and forget our common roots. “Edin” is just a word, a Sumerian word, for Steppes. The grassy area where fertile soil meets desert. Your “paradise” never got lost, just the MEANING OF THE WORD. Intentionally, unintentionally, what difference does it make NOW YOU KNOW? Live like it. You are NOT a Paleolithic hominid, you are an advanced one, ACT LIKE IT AND EVOLVE.
Naram-Sin was also known as the great Jewish warrior NIMROD. Yes, stolen myth, again. Because simply put, there was never any great kingdom of Israel, so there simply could never have been any great warrior kings of Israel. Like “Joshua” (actually Hindu “Shiva” (Shiwa)…The Destroyer of Cities….Ya Shua.) To be gentler and perhaps more accurate, I will say “borrowed” as most conquered people do “borrow” their conqueror’s religion and myths, then twist them to suit their own needs…I guess it is common human behavior to do so. Survival techniques.
This great Mesopotamian/Akkadian king Naram-Sin. (Sin=name of Moon god.) He actually was king over the entire region, absolute monarch.
And his long-lasting legend expanded to Great Britain, where this great Traveler and seeming Magic man was called, in myth….Merlin.
The author of this article in link on Naram-Sin/Narmer, Andis Kaulins, lays out a good case for Naram-Sin/Narmer/Merlin to be the source of the legend/myth of the Argonauts, the “Earth Explorers”, setting up stone megaliths as navigation and location markers world-wide, including one dead center in Africa.
I’m convinced he is on to something here. In fact, I am sure of it: every time an “expert” is asked to look at some new megalith found, they are “mystified” about the so-called “cupmarks” always found on them. State in the articles “meaning unknown.” Truly, it has happened twice recently in msm articles, I just shake my head.
Yet Andis, not of the establishment “expert” msm tribe, noted years ago these were actually candle-holders, so you could place candles in each “cupmark” and BEHOLD Constellations of the SKY ABOVE appears ;<) Usually a very certain constellation, and I won't tell you which one. This constellation is also found on the 40,000 year old cave drawing in Spain and France. Had religious importance to the ancients…..hey, you ever look CLOSELY at a Celtic Cross? That wheel on it…are those that DEGREE MARKS???? (Giant hint)
Andis ties the "Merlin" myth to an intriguing find in an ancient cave with ancient myths attached by locals, a cave in Scotland, where someone or "someones" drew maps of the entire world on the wall, and an African ivory relic dated circa 5000 B.C. was found….and a face carved in stone. Merlin's face? Was "Merlin" blind? Was "HoMer?"
Must have been a very interesting time @ 5000-10,000 years ago: Otzi" was wandering the Alps then, someone from Scotland was "visiting" central Africa and erecting stone megaliths world-wide, and Naram-Sin was conquering Mesopotamia. Leaving stone tablets celebrating and memorializing his achievements…while "Abraham's" people were sacrificing human women and children in what is modern day Iraq. My. Gosh. Oh oh.
"Stones, Stars and Megaliths" by Andis Kaulins (only online) a great read. To this day, many borders in Europe reflect the constellations, borders set out by these ancient "Argonauts," marked by stone megaliths…..that still remain.
"As above, so below…..,now YOU know" ;<)
Go to lexiline.com home page. Click on "quick index" and if you like light bulbs going off, enjoy ;<) Try "Ark of the Covenent" to see ACTUAL PHOTOS OF THE ARK WHEN IT WAS FOUND. And PHOTOS of other "Jewish" relics named in the Torah and O.T. Amazing they hid this from us, right in front of our noses..
Andis is, like everyone else, imperfect. We all are. We think, we apply our theories, we fail, we succeed. But some of us evolve. This makes you THINK. Not a lot of folks enjoy doing that, it hurts their widdle heads. They want smooth videos with dramatic music and "God's" voice over, like on Discovery Channel pablum.
"Here widdle fella, open wide so I can shovel in STUPIDITY BY THE BUCKET."
I'm surprised the US Neocon cabal in charge haven't instituted Clockwork Orange taping of eyes open and forced TV watching to modify behavior.
So, try aspirin, and do your own research, come to your own conclusions….or stay ignorant.
it says “your comment”, not “your Phd thesis”…. too a much bla bla bla. short simple is de way of da truth
Explanation of Derivative Markets
Heidi is the proprietor of a bar in Detroit . She realizes that virtually all of her customers are unemployed alcoholics and, as such, can no longer afford to patronize her bar. To solve this problem, she comes up with a new marketing plan that allows her customers to drink now, but pay later.
Heidi keeps track of the drinks consumed on a ledger (thereby granting the customers’ loans). Word gets around about Heidi’s “drink now, pay later” marketing strategy and, as a result, increasing numbers of customers flood into Heidi’s bar. Soon she has the largest sales volume for any bar in Detroit .
By providing her customers freedom from immediate payment demands, Heidi gets no resistance when, at regular intervals, she substantially increases her prices for wine and beer, the most consumed beverages. Consequently, Heidi’s gross sales volume increases massively.
A young and dynamic vice-president at the local bank recognizes that these customer debts constitute valuable future assets and increases Heidi’s borrowing limit. He sees no reason for any undue concern, since he has the debts of the unemployed alcoholics as collateral.
At the bank’s corporate headquarters, expert traders figure a way to make huge commissions, and transform these customer loans into DRINKBONDS, ALKIBONDS and PUKEBONDS. These securities are then bundled and traded on international security markets.
Naive investors don’t really understand that the securities being sold to them as AAA secured bonds are really the debts of unemployed alcoholics. Nevertheless, the bond prices continuously climb, and the securities soon become the hottest-selling items for some of the nation’s leading brokerage houses.
One day, even though the bond prices are still climbing, a risk manager at the original local bank decides that the time has come to demand payment on the debts incurred by the drinkers at Heidi’s bar. He so informs Heidi.
Heidi then demands payment from her alcoholic patrons, but being unemployed alcoholics they cannot pay back their drinking debts. Since Heidi cannot fulfill her loan obligations she is forced into bankruptcy. The bar closes and the eleven employees lose their jobs.
Overnight, DRINKBONDS, ALKIBONDS and PUKEBONDS drop in price by 90%. The collapsed bond asset value destroys the banks liquidity and prevents it from issuing new loans, thus freezing credit and economic activity in the community. The suppliers of Heidi’s bar had granted her generous payment extensions and had invested their firms’ pension funds in the various BOND securities. They find they are now faced with having to write off her bad debt and with losing over 90% of the presumed value of the bonds. Her wine supplier also claims bankruptcy, closing the doors on a family business that had endured for three generations, her beer supplier is taken over by a competitor, who immediately closes the local plant and lays off 150 workers.
Fortunately though, the bank, the brokerage houses and their respective executives are saved and bailed out by a multi-billion dollar no-strings attached cash infusion from their cronies in Government. The funds required for this bailout are obtained by new taxes levied on employed, middle-class, non-drinkers who have never been in Heidi’s bar.
@ jischinger, @ mae’s fanny
Of course… we find out in the sequel to 2001, (2010), that the reason why HAL went schizo was because although all of his prime directives revolved around truth-telling, he was secretly programmed to tell a lie by the “National Security Council” and ‘lost it’.
Naturally something like that would never happen in real life, would it…
More Global Warming fraud.
Did you know that it reached 600 degrees Fahrenheit on July 4th at Egg Harbor, Wisconsin according to NOAA?
Maybe it wasn’t quite that hot and a few professors living off of grant money decided just a few realty high temperatures thrown into the mix would cook the books.

Mistaking a Nomination for an Appointment

Katrina vanden Heuvel set off the twitters with this:
WH (& others) indicate Elizabeth Warren 2 be nominated next week to head Consumer Financial Protection Agency. Kudos 2 all who worked 4 her.
Eye Beam = I BeamM = HAL,…. yeah, righteooooo
Just read Matt Simmons has died!
The Bin laden link doesn’t work. Just sayin’.
“Robbery, murder, drugs and human trafficking are helping to create value in Norway.”
I fell out of the chair reading that, but according to Ann Lisbeth Brathaug, Head of Section of National Accounts at Statistics Norway (SSB), that is the case *sigh*. This she says in an article on NRK (Norwegian broadcasting corporation) http://www.nrk.no/nyheter/distrikt/nrk_trondelag/1.7243534
Apparently “Lawyers’ income and the police pay is value creation. Crime contributes to value creation, where the prison is located”.
“Where the value creation is located depends on where the police or the lawyer keeps house” “Oslo thrones sovereign on top”
She goes on to say that the NOKAS robbery (a big infamous bank robbery a few years back where one police officer got killed) also created value. Here is why; “It is estimated that the investigation and trial for NOKAS robbery in Stavanger cost 300 million. Employment of attorneys and police are value creations. So NOKAS robbery creates value”.
Also; “A prison does not charge people and thus, there is no revenue. The statistics are therefore used labour costs as a number of value added.” so the more people in jail means more added value . . .
The Broken Window Fallacy!
Does anyone here speak Keiser-eeze? I had to think about this one for a minute…
“‘these wall street banks and Washington politicians who stole the money from the retail borrower to begin with and then blew it on the global derivatives casino exchange there’s now saying it’s the fault of the people who borrowed it to begin with…”
rough translation (please correct if wrong):
Banks lent money to a bunch of circus clowns then purchased insurance (via derivatives) against the clowns they lent too and when it all collapsed, their Washington buddies made the banks bets good. How’s that?
So we have three characters here:
2. The circus clowns they lent to
3. The dumbshits who insured the circus clowns debts
4. The Washington politicians who reimbursed the banks and stiffed everyone else.
Is that about right?
aw screw it, I give up the pan flute…how’s this?
This comment is right to the point and very true. I have noticed that those like you Max who keep on having to explain the same thing to a zombie somnambulist audience, eventually loose their mind and their audience. (look up Gordon Tether and see what happened to him) The most amazing thing is, that you still have confidence that telling the truth to those that have stopped their ears (or have had their ears stopped for them) will have significant consequence. It won’t. You know, I know, there is no polite way to say what you have to say. Julian Assange discovered a similar mentality in the face-book addict is who uses the place as a vehicle to air their self-righteous mentality without having to do any significant thing about it.
