OK. Where will the money be going ? In Goldman Sachs, Soros, Gore, Blood, GE, pockets ? Hey shit ! Enven in Haliburton’s pockets ? Why not a cut for Blackwater ? Yeah it’s nice nice nice. But follow the money. I do think it will go in the same pockets. As for us ? Well ? Eat cake.,
Hahahaha,…….Lets get this right,.. the financial system is failing (by design),. tax monies are squandered, folk are monitored 24/7,. most rights are being repealed (for our security of course),.terrorists are everywhere (scawy), pandemics are rife,…etc, etc,…

… As a result, the IMF has as of today extended the duration of its existing Flexible Credit Line (FCL) to two years, concurrently removing the borrowing cap on this facility, which previously stood at 1000 percent of a member’s IMF quota, in essence making the FCL a limitless credit facility, to be used to rescue whomever, at the sole discretion of the IMF’s overlords. …

They like to run the premise that we can reverse engineer the environment, what a crock! Wouldn’t we need to dig up all the cities and replant them with trees too. The sums don’t add up that even if we used 100% non emitting energy etc tomorrow that it would mean the air was anything like it was before the Industrial Revolution. Carbon credit schemes are another financial tool of enslavery and will not help us control or adapt to our future. Yes, we need to clean up our act, but not as some unachievable goal, we are going to need the money/value to adapt if climate change is anything like they say it is. They are simply using guilt as a financial tool of slavery. I would like to see sensible common law written and enforced more than this bogus trading scheme. But how would that benefit the oil, coal etc and banking execs esp if they’re put where they belong – behind bars.
3 days running now top story of the BBC is a Pakistan cricket scam. WTF is going on? Pakistan has suffered what amounts to a holocaust and they top the news for three days with cricket – constantly churning it out on the TV for last three days.
Anyone who passed Biology in the 8th grade knows that plants take in carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. Basic. Have we become lost in the forest for the trees? It is obvious that something is happening with the earth’s climate, but the issue is whether or not it is human caused. We know for a fact that the entire solar system is warming. The furor over this issue has reached that of religious fervor, and is therefore irrational. There are perfectly credible, credentialed scientists disputing the corporate line. The use of the word “skeptic” has become the new “liberal”. A mind killer. Let’s figure out the truth before we cap and trade ourselves into oblivion.
$100 billion sounds like a very cosy round number. Big, but not big enough to scare anyone. So a reasonably good choice of arbitrary number.
Surely $100 trillion annually would make more of a difference. Then we could solve the *problem* in a few weeks. If we spent $100 quadrillion we could solve the the problem in a few hours. This is great news. The more tax we pay to crooked politicians and bankers the less *problems* we and the planet have.
“The safety of a swine flu vaccine is to be investigated by European drugs regulators after it was linked to a rare condition that causes people to fall asleep suddenly.”
Climate change? Sure it’s changing, but its because of the SUN! Just watch the sunspots and eruptions on the sun. It’s all a big scam and with mega money involved!
Bjorn is finally looking at this own data compiled to put together his Copenhagen Consensus report.
His conclusions from that report were incorrect at the time – putting climate change down the list of priorities.
Now he has come to his senses and correctly assessed the threat, as has the Pentagon – that puts man made climate change as a much bigger threat than so-called terrorism.
man made climate change deniers are just trying to get out of paying their climate debt bills. they are climate debt deadbeats.
but they are running out of places to hide. the tide is rising.
Bjorn and the Pentagon will be stumping up $100 billion per year for the next 100 years. Only $10 trillion (plus inflation of course) to save the planet. This seems like very good value.
Way to go Max. You get those pesky climate change deniers.
@Max … “man made climate change deniers are just trying to get out of paying their climate debt bills. they are climate debt deadbeats.”
I would agree with the wording “Climate Change” … if it wasn’t tagged immediately with “man made warming” .. by most people.
The Earth’s weather system is powered ca. 99%+ by the Sun’s energy and occasionally by the Earth’s own Thermal Energy ( Volcanoes/Earthquakes etc. ).
The contribution of “man made” energy to this system is minimal.
But hey … you want the Govts. to tax us based on this ?
Pollution is the most serious “man made” problem on this planet IMO.
Industrial, GMO, chemical, pharmaceutical (Bio) etc. etc. .. the list goes on.
Governments should be taxing ( or banning ) those companies directly, not us , the victims !
…
… The review also cast doubt on the future of IPCC chairman Dr Rajendra Pachauri.
Earlier this year, the Daily Express reported how he had no climate science qualifications but held a PhD in economics and was a former railway engineer.
Dr Pachauri has been accused of a conflict of interest, which he denies, after it emerged that he has business interests attracting millions of pounds in funding. One, the Energy Research Institute, is set to receive up to £10million in grants from taxpayers over the next five years. …
…
Context – the total annual Pentagon budget, including off balance sheet wars and veteran expenses, but not including black ops, is over $1 trillion. That’s just one nation’s spend on securing carbon.
Here’s one for you,..mAx Keiser, ex Wall street stock broker extraordinaire, expert salesman/manipulator of reality (it’s what they do),..has all of a sudden had a pang of conscience,..and decided to tell the “truth”,…like I said,..you couldn’t make this stuff up! : )
Here is another example of how the media is controlled by politics.
Note : Most of the critics haven’t even read his book yet.
… as I haven’t.
Sarrazin is Bundesbank Risk Controller … in particular for the … wait for it … “National Debt” !
His “numbers” book – as far as I have understood him – is a calculation of Germany’s ability to repay it’s liabilities over the next 30 years.
He examines the population structure and calculates where Germany is going based on the hard numbers.
Obviously, he holds the reigns to Political Lending and Spending.
Many German “comments” on Spiegel and FAZ ( I read all the comments ) accuse the MSM of demonizing him for political purposes.
The guy is not defending racism ( as far as I can tell ) … he is purely taking stock of the numbers.
The title of the above link is MSM “attention seeking” IMO.
Sarrazin himself sees it as a political attack.
Why do we have to pay the elites to live on our own planet? Why have they been able to con generation after generation into believing them? Why can we not use hemp as a alternative to hydro carbon? Why do we have to pay tax to fund made up wars? How have we let the banking fraudster mislead us for so long? They have confiscated the human lands which are naturally given and we are made to pay through enslavement to exist? The whole economic set up has been created for a few elites
Is this the ray of hope ….? May be yes from what is being claimed
” Dr Rubbia says a tonne of the silvery metal – named after the Norse god of thunder, who also gave us Thor’s day or Thursday – produces as much energy as 200 tonnes of uranium, or 3,500,000 tonnes of coal. A mere fistful would light London for a week.
Thorium eats its own hazardous waste. It can even scavenge the plutonium left by uranium reactors, acting as an eco-cleaner. “It’s the Big One,” said Kirk Sorensen, a former NASA rocket engineer and now chief nuclear technologist at Teledyne Brown Engineering. “
max, or stacy,,,,you seem to be pushing hard for everyone to believe in man made climate change. who gets this money? the imf? wto? un? if they get this money, what will they do with it? does it go on an exchange and be traded? just to make money? does it go to a plan to stop pollution and warming? does it go to a panel to figure out what to do with the money thats left after it is used up by administative costs? i hear money figures being put out there, but no real solutions. none at all… will they stop industry to stop pollution? seem unlikely..what is your solution to stop climate change? pg
OK the obvious thought on Thorium why wasn’t this done in the past? Lets here the counter arguments for it preferably from (a) serious scientist/s. Magic bullets dont just come from no where. What really is criminal is that solar heating of water to steam has not been utilized on a vast scale in the sun laden countries.
One could utilize India/Asia/Australia’s massive heat to generate energy.
The old problem remains .. how to transport it.
An idea I had was to use the Sun & Sea-Water in these regions to generate Hydrogen or Ammonia … freeze it into gas-bottles for transportation WW.
Whatever amount of energy it takes, the Sun will provide it … peanuts for the Sun !
More Tax, More Tax, More Tax. King Canute had the right idea. He was sensible enough to know that the Sun and the Moon have more effect than man on how the planet works. Nobody wants a dirty World to live in so stopping the large polluting companies is a good idea. Only the simple minded are brain-washed into believing that if they stop breathing they will save the planet. Man-made Global Warming and Religion are two of the best “people-control” scams devised so far and get the big polluters off the hook.
Where on Earth does he actually pull this price tag from.
We’re talking about resources, man hours, and changes in how those are allocated on a large scale across all sectors of the world economy. Any changes like that are sure to effect the prices he’s basing his goofy price tag on.
MirrorMirror – “An idea I had was to use the Sun & Sea-Water in these regions to generate Hydrogen or Ammonia … freeze it into gas-bottles for transportation WW.
Whatever amount of energy it takes, the Sun will provide it … peanuts for the Sun !”
Very interesting Ive no idea if it would work but it sounds feasible. My thought was to do it in space and use some very high tech cabling to bring the power down to earth. A way off and costly but a thought.
You have to wonder – using sun light to heat water to steam has been known for probably thousands of years, then when the ability to generate electricity by turbines in the late nineteenth Century (I think) why the heck wasn’t it used ?
“ScienceDaily (Aug. 30, 2010) — About 12,900 years ago, a sudden cold snap interrupted the gradual warming that had followed the last Ice Age. The cold lasted for the 1,300-year interval known as the Younger Dryas (YD) before the climate began to warm again.”
Obviously the sudden 1300-year cold spell was caused by an increase in the species “Al Goristius” which set about preventing other creatures from driving 4x4s. It’s obvious!
It’s all about “Con Trol” and “Power”,..anyone who can’t see this, is gone with the fairies !
Peace on earth (from the elites perspective), means “complete” and utter domination over every part of “your” lives, from cradle to grave !
Actually,.I might be wrong,… the managers have had a change of heart (mAx comes to mind), and want to help everyone on the planet to reach their full potential as sovereign beings on this planet,….yep, that’s it,..skip my former comment !
The truth is often avoided because it is ugly and unpleasant. Never appeal to truth and reality unless you are prepared for the anger that comes for disenchantment. Life is so harsh and distressing that people who can manufacture romance or conjure up fantasy are like oases in the desert: Everyone flocks to them. There is great power in tapping into the fantasies of the masses.
max, [i realize economy and climate go hand in hand]…but, why do you keep pushing the idea of mmcc, when big oil wont let alternative solutions surface and survive? the ideas get bought up and are never seen again? you think theyre going to stop the money machine that they control? please……..besides, al gore lied to us, again and again… ipcc has lied about their data. .among others…..i find it hard to believe the UN or the WTO has mankinds best interests at heart. ..if i constantly lied to you, you would dismiss me as a loon …..what do you expect when people are constantly told lies? …pg
Humanity can’t buy its way out of a problem it lived itself into. Besides, its not the lifestyle of humans that needs adjusting, its the volume. And if you think steering lifestyle is hard, wait till you try to steer the population numbers. In either case, there is no stopping the coming crash. Lets just hope the 2 legged viruses don’t kill the host during the process.
“using sun light to heat water to steam – why the heck wasn’t it used?”
Because it is unreliable (i.e weather dependent) and probably highly inefficient. You need to study the concept of High-grading, whereby the easiest and most efficient resources are used first (technology permitting), and also Net-Energy.
It may well become a viable method in the future though!
@MirrorMirror – thanks for the link. I’ve just sent my own open letter and emailed to around 60 newspapers in pUSs & pUKe. Would have saved me a lot of time if I’d had Rupert’s mail, after all he’s the guy calling the shots no doubt.
I can only second Crummy’s opinion. Aside from my belief toward CC, it’s absurd to toss around figures like that on such complex issue as CC. It seems to me that the goal of this author is a mere spectacle. Besides, there are things that money can’t buy, such as changing the behavior and thinking of 6.5billion people. The change has to come within, with the fundamental change of culture.
But, is it possible to veer the gatekeepers of culture to go against their own material interest for survival of the species? The answer is yet to be seen.
Of course I’m convinced that the sun drives the climate and CO2 not the other way around, so all we can do is to come up with better technology and stewardship for the changes waiting to happen if we were to stay.
I refer to Previous post quoting Catherine Austin Fits. Need to end Fiat Currency. Gold Mining has serious drawbacks for the miners. Fiat currency seems to be riddled with ‘death’. It’s a difficult question.
Previously mentioned was the fact that the Pentagon now recognises climate change as a more serious concern than terrorism. They will need a budget then, like the one they have to fight the phoney War on Terror.
If you are a military industrial complex, and you don’t have an enemy to justify your expenditures, then you create one.
Of course the other side of the coin here are the interests of the energy companies, an “opposing side” in the corporate mafia system. We have two mafioso groups duking it out for billions/trilions.
To the bankers (mafia dons), a carbon tax will not put the energy companies out of business, only tax the poor, and give them a hand in all aspects of the economy.
With respect, there are more levels of political interest in this matter than Max or Stacy recognise (I love you both !!). The science of AGW – well reviewed at Watt’sUpWithThat? – has been shown to be essentially bankrupt.
We know there have been successful attempts at altering the Wiki climate record to hide a true representation of the climate over the last 1000 years.
NASA, CRU and NOAA data, the key sources, have been revealed as flawed or altered to suit the AGW posulate.
The recent review of the IPCC shows conflicts of interests and “sloppy/careless” representations of the “climate science” as major concerns (although the review still maintained that the cautionary position of the IPCC was still valid.) Indeed, it would have been hard to conclude otherwise considering all the revelations about the body.
It’s a big web of money and politics. More thorough research on the science will help to reveal what is going on.
Bjorn Lomborg’s change in view needs to be tested. In time we will see expert analysis on his position.
Personally, I’m against pollution, as most of the posters here have mentioned, but against oppressive taxation. We should see tax holidays for clean technology R&D and development. Clean technology should be made efficient and cheap so it will take over from our existing systems. No taxes necessary !
@Hawkeye
It is not unreliable, you use the excess energy in daytime to pump water up in dams, just the same is done today with nuclear energy in places like Sweden. The get this real effective you need to have solar plants in places like Spain and the dams in Norway, Sweden etc.
“Examining eight methods to reduce or stop global warming, Lomborg and his fellow economists recommend pouring money into researching and developing clean energy sources such as wind, wave, solar and nuclear power, and more work on climate engineering ideas such as “cloud whitening” to reflect the sun’s heat back into the outer atmosphere.”
How can I take seriously someone who equates wind, wave and solar (currently) with nuclear power? CO2 reduction will starve the poor and reduce the anxiety of bankers. That’s not my idea of a worthy cause.
So what does that tell us for solar potential in the Middle East and North Africa where the deserts are – vast areas of usable land with out any light
obstruction?
Cost has got to be v low vs nuclear , lines of mirrors reflecting onto pipes with water flowing through heating to stream to power turbines ok its daytime only and moving the power is a problem but its got to be a serious option.
“Lomborg denies he has performed a volte face, pointing out that even in his first book he accepted the existence of man-made global warming.”
So he is just another climate fanatic used as an excuse to impose draconian taxes on the people of the world. I must say the IPCC are getting seriously desperate to get any positive media coverage these days.
Actually it is not a mystery. Animals with a high volume to surface ratio such as whales, Al Gore and myself generate heat faster than they can easily dissipate it.
Makes sense. But moving / storing electricity is quite tricky and inefficient. Therefore there will always be an issue of the source of solar being far away from where it most needs to be used.
Bronxy makes a good point about pumping water up hill to store for later use. But he clearly hasn’t seen what an English summer is like!
Oil will remain king for quite a while, and I doubt there will be anything close in terms of potency for sheer abundance, compactness & efficiency (it’s half a billion years of solar energy chemically compacted by mother nature). The energy production of the future will have to accept its place as second / third fiddle.
@Crummy
He got the number from his boss Soros. It’s the quantity of money Soros wants to suck from you. A pound of flesh for Lord Soron, Lord Gore and Lord Blood.
Wow ! 82 billions loss FOR just one bank and a minuscule country. Talk about modern slavery ! It’s almost one year of investment to save zeeeeeeee Muuuuuuuuutheeeeeer Eeeeeeearth. Irish crazies.
The American dream died decades and decades ago. I a slow process the media and governement brainwashed the people into a new narrowed kind of consious that suites large corporations and governement itself. This created such a strong morphogenetic field that it is difficult to escape. The thing is that as soon you believe in the infantile fairy tale of the great US, people are having hope and are feeling better than living wiht the inconvienient truth.
Because of this people defend vehmently “their right to be asleep”. It is so at the root of their existential surviving mechanisms that they feel incounsiously that they loose it all when they open their eyes to the thruth. (well, what is thruth, certainly not anyway the “trhuth” that the media wants us to believe in)
By opening your mind you loose the right:
to eploit the rest of the world to your own benifits, to exploit the earth in a destructive way, to believe that living in the too big dream is a natural state, to think it is a sustainable way of living, to feel at comfort looking at stupid programs on TV that are food to keep the narrowed concsious alive, to believe that all soldiers that died in foreign countries had a meaning, wasn’t in vain, to believe that te US is the best country on the world, blessed by god, to believe to think that all your opinions and believes aren’t build on a lie so that it all is a farce.
So keep denying! Lots of advantages!
No need to get to understand that the axis of evil runs right through the middle of the US, that the US is killing innocent people all over the world, that the wars are about oil and not about democracy, that the earth is being raped and that climat change is real and not somenthing made up. That even god and religion is made part of the mix to keep people asleep.
And uhh… lets talk next time about Europe…
@Marc Authier – yep 82 billion euros is 103 billion US dollars; puts this whole climate change story into context; why an elaborate scheme in which you have to pay off thousands upon thousands of scientists upon each of whom one must place absolute trust that they will not break the conspiracy, so tens of thousands of people maintaining secrecy for essentially peanuts for salaries; just to take 100 billion dollars from the entire world? Dude one rinky dink Irish bank can take that from a population of less than four and a half million? I don’t know about you, but if I were a gangster, I’d take the second option and just execute a heist on a small population.
I’m why you on this. This being said if politicians had balls, which they don’t, they could introduce socielal measures that cost nothing and generate large economies of scale.
Just one example. Ban all 4×4 except for very limited and specific uses. Limit the speed on highways to 55 miles per houre. Limit the size of motors in a way that NO car can go higher that let’s 60 miles per hour.Adopt anti suburbia urban plans. etc……. Net costs NIL. The jobs lost would be replaced by many millions of barrels not burnt each day and better quality of air and water,
It’s just two little examples of thousand of measures that would generate economic activity without taxing anyone and eliminate parasite like Soros and Gore. And that way we could all become poets and PrrateMyFilm cineasts.
Still no undisputed evidence, still way to many questions and fraud, yet Stacey is bent on some NWO tyrant taking your money to give to themselves and controlling YOUR use of resources.
Reminds me of the US education system constant cry for more funding (oh yeh, that will change everything!).
Limit the speed on highways to 55 miles per houre. Marc Authier
Not just no but hell no! Have you ever tried poking along on a highway designed for 80 miles/hour at 55 MPH? Put on your Jimmy Carter sweater and go sit in the corner.
why an elaborate scheme in which you have to pay off thousands upon thousands of scientists upon each of whom one must place absolute trust that they will not break the conspiracy,… Stacy
@Stacy,
government money ->scientists -> whatever the government wants to hear. It’s called whoring the truth. I saw it when I worked as a sub-contractor to NASA. It’s all about keeping the money flowing.
CO2 IS NOT A POISON! On the contrary plants breath CO2 to create O2 (Not the Mobile Phone dumbass)
The earth had much higher CO2 levels 900 years AFTER the earth had warmed up and plants grew Bigger, Better and Faster! WE NEED MORE CO2 into the atmosphere to grow more food!
Based on the analysis of entrapped air from ice cores extracted from permanent glaciers from various regions around the globe, it has been demonstrated that global warming began 18,000 years ago, accompanied by a steady rise in atmospheric carbon dioxide. Humans are quite likely the cause of a large portion of the 80 ppm rise in CO2 since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution, and from a distance, it looks possible that increasing CO2 may cause atmospheric temperatures rise. However, on closer examination it is seen that CO2 lags an average of about 800 years behind the temperature changes– confirming that CO2 is not the primary driver of the temperature changes. http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/temp_vs_CO2.html
“The ice caps on Mars are melting , parts of Jupiter are have warmed up ten degrees, Neptune’s moon Triton is warming, and even Pluto has slightly warmed up in recent years, instead of 230oC – 232oC. In short, Global warming also seems to be happing in our solar system outside Earth.” (Google trans from Dutch) http://tinyurl.com/29uq3nl

„We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis.“ – David Rockefeller, Club of Rome executive manager
Founded in 1968 at the Rockefeller’s Italian Estate, the Club of Rome has played the leading role in propagating the falsehoods of climate change:
In 1991, the Club of Rome published The First Global Revolution, authored by Alexander King and Bertrand Schneider. On pp. 104-105 are found the following statement:
“In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill… All these dangers are caused by human intervention…
THE REAL ENEMY, THEN, IS HUMANITY ITSELF.”
Such illustrious organizations like “Greenpeace” look to the Club of Rome for Leadership and Guidance.
btw According to the Belgium Financial Paper DE TIJD (4 August 2010 page 24) George Soros and Jim Rogers Quantum Fund in the 70-ties were able to generate returns of 4,000% (Not 40%)
@Stacy
Bah ! With the phony baloney accounting we don’t know what are the real numbers anyways Anglo-Potatoe-Irish Bank, Did they find Zhou with a bullett in the head this morning ? Or he’s in Londonium Parasitum with Berezovsky ?
If it were not so sad it would be laughable, when Stacey points out that the propagandists are masters yet climategate was all the evidence she should have needed to see who was propagating false info into the public arena. Some snap out of their comas at different rates I suppose, yet the fanatical defense of the banksters agenda should point to the hypocracy that denial inevitably screams. Another bubble, another ponzi scheme, another grab for power, another purge of what is left of american wealth. Quick let me write a check to the banksters so I can purge my guilt they assure me I should have, and after all they will put the money towards fixing “the problem”…..won’t they?
“buying gold helps you to pay off your climate debts”
climate debts? A tax on the living for being alive is what your advocating. You offer no directed effort against those companies and practicies that are right now destroying and polluting the economy. All you can offer to combat “economic terrorists” as you state them is to acquire rare earth metals? You claim to be against a tax on being alive but thats what Bjorn Lomborg is advocating. Or do you claim that?
Everyone has a pemament “Debt” Max, is that the future you see for man? Replacing one bunch of debt parasites with another? Who is the economic terrorist now?
Or are you most base talking your own book. A kind of cramer for the CTers.
I’m sure the war against global warming will be as successful as the war against terrorism, the war against drugs, the war against poverty, etc. etc. etc.
Yesterday featured an economist who favored debunking the Internet. Today’s bent seems to favor the iniquitous carbon tax on life itself, to fund the totalitarian ambitions of the New World Order. No one is likely to accuse you of not considering all points of view.
Why would a derivatives market based on trading of so-called carbon credits, (that grotesque caricature end-run invention around direct accountability for “pollution”), have effects different than those of say, box office futures contracts?
100 billion? Hmmm. What a coincidence. Apparently this charlatan has never had a real job, because if he’d had, he’d have known that you never try to pass off a number that comes out so perfectly. Know what? I already know the second move when the 100 bil is spent. Points – 1) great effort 2) making progress 3) no doubt forsestalled an earth shattering event, but, 4) we’ve only just begun and 5) more money is vital because it would be a shame to have spent that first 100 bil for nothing. Wake up people. These are pickpockets. Silly, queer villains.

I haven’t been here in a while and I see we’re still talking about the same damn thing. So its no longer called global warming? I believe firmly in climate change. Its called winter, spring, summer and fall.

IMF Eliminates Borrowing Cap On Rescue Facility In Anticipation Of Europe Crisis 2.0; US Prepares To Print Fresh Trillions In “Rescue” Linen

I say we shut the world down for a week (outside emergency provisions), and see what happens.
as they used to say a week of Sundays.

PS: Where is Jane Burgermeister? It’s been 2 weeks since she entered an Austrian court and I see no news of any kind in either msm or the real world.

max, or stacy,,,,you seem to be pushing hard for everyone to believe in man made climate change. who gets this money? the imf? wto? un? if they get this money, what will they do with it? does it go on an exchange and be traded? just to make money? does it go to a plan to stop pollution and warming? does it go to a panel to figure out what to do with the money thats left after it is used up by administative costs? i hear money figures being put out there, but no real solutions. none at all… will they stop industry to stop pollution? seem unlikely..what is your solution to stop climate change? pg

Complaining about the political class ( not Sarazzin BTW).
@flicks … Sun energy
Agreed !

@flicks
@Hawkeye
It is not unreliable, you use the excess energy in daytime to pump water up in dams, just the same is done today with nuclear energy in places like Sweden. The get this real effective you need to have solar plants in places like Spain and the dams in Norway, Sweden etc.
How do other cultures perceive the west ?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVg5VxPdK80&feature=related
Here’s some music,..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VWoRxxZpHY
“Examining eight methods to reduce or stop global warming, Lomborg and his fellow economists recommend pouring money into researching and developing clean energy sources such as wind, wave, solar and nuclear power, and more work on climate engineering ideas such as “cloud whitening” to reflect the sun’s heat back into the outer atmosphere.”
How can I take seriously someone who equates wind, wave and solar (currently) with nuclear power? CO2 reduction will starve the poor and reduce the anxiety of bankers. That’s not my idea of a worthy cause.
Hawkeye –
http://earth.rice.edu/mtpe/geo/geosphere/hot/energyfuture/Sunlight.html
The sky is falling!
Carnivore Species Shrank During Global Warming Event
Actually it is not a mystery. Animals with a high volume to surface ratio such as whales, Al Gore and myself generate heat faster than they can easily dissipate it.
@flicks

@StacyHerbert
With you on this. ONLY. Instead of jiust taxing, concentrate on societal measures.
Still no undisputed evidence, still way to many questions and fraud, yet Stacey is bent on some NWO tyrant taking your money to give to themselves and controlling YOUR use of resources.
Reminds me of the US education system constant cry for more funding (oh yeh, that will change everything!).

CO2 lags an average of about 800 years behind the temperature changes http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/last_400k_yrs.html
“It doesn’t matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true.” – Paul Watson, co-founder of Greenpeace

By the way, that’s an 8.2 billion euro loss at Anglo Irish! http://www.marketwatch.com/story/anglo-irish-bank-loss-hits-82-billion-euros-2010-08-31 Not 82 billion!
@stacyherbert
btw According to the Belgium Financial Paper DE TIJD (4 August 2010 page 24) George Soros and Jim Rogers Quantum Fund in the 70-ties were able to generate returns of 4,000% (Not 40%)
I’ve sent a cheque. My family dated theirs for the years 2011 ’til 2016.
Problem solved. let’s face another realities.
@Stacy
So then, if perhaps he has been off the rails on other issues, (falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus?), why not debate Lord Monckton?
@Youri Carma
Nice links.
Some writers, like Ravi Batra, consider Financial capitalism the final stage of capitalism, ending in financial instability and depression.

Yeah, numbers don’t lie. People do.
I haven’t been here in a while and I see we’re still talking about the same damn thing. So its no longer called global warming? I believe firmly in climate change. Its called winter, spring, summer and fall.
