I agree. What the crowd means in terms of it’s size is very important, because it shows people are waking up and are hungry for the real fundamentals of their Republic which they are now just finding out about.
However, the Tea Party movement was started by Ron Paul, the left and the right through it’s various funding mechanisims are trying and have co-opted the Tea Party movement and the American people. They are being manipulated and lied to again. Glenn Beck, is an actor who has been hired to show the American people just enough information to keep them away from full information that will mean real change. The ONE party is keeping it’s power….
Beck never mentions the Global banks, Goldman Sachs and Wall street and the Military. Never. And he continues to denigrate the 911 families who are wanting answers, nor does he even allow debate or thought in regard to 911.
Again, he is there to keep people entertained with half truths while the Republic and the financial well being of the country is lost.
That’s why I can’t stand either Beck or Palin. Both are paid actors, just like Obama.
i find you entertaining and informative just like glenn beck. guess that makes you a clown too. really, you’re not that different and i’ll still check in on your site.
I read a book of his called “So Great a Salvation”. I had to decide on a nice study Bible so I picked his. So far, I am pleased. As for Dispensationalism, I do not see it mentioned much if at all. It is pretty scholarly. I don’t always agree with the footnotes but most of the time they seem correct.”
You mean: as “scholarly as one can be” when interpreting a twisted myth of Sumeria/Egypt, correct?
Kinda “scholarly,” as in serious studies of Superman’s home planet.
Does he explain in his book how pharoah Psusnennes I, could be king of all he surveyed, including the tiny land of his relatives called PALESTINE, at the exact SAME TIME of “king david?” You know, the PHAROAH CALLED THE STAR HAS ARRIVED IN THE CITY???”
Have one of your highly intelligent jewish scientist explain it to me, since the cat seems to have swallowed your tongue.
I see no justification in lumping Soupy Sales in the same sentence as Glenn Beck. Soupy Sales was always cool, forward-looking, progressive, ahead of his time and most importantly, funny.
Glenn Beck is not funny.
Conservative star Glenn Beck’s recent “Restoring Honor” event was attended by perhaps hundreds of thousands and covered by major media. Mega-pastor John Hagee was among the religious leaders who spoke; he led a closing prayer to the “God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” and asked forgiveness of America’s sins. “Through moral and spiritual compromise,” the Zionist leader prayed, “we have allowed our nation to conform to the ways of the world by rejecting the Word of God.” Yet few evangelical pastors have more grossly betrayed the Bible than John Hagee.
Hagee has “made it a practice for 25 years not to target Jews for conversion.”At his Christians United for Israel rallies, he forbids mention of the name of Jesus, in praise or prayer. And although betraying this central tenet of Christianity, the heretical pastor remains popular. Although so controversial that John McCain distanced himself from Hagee’s endorsement in 2008, Hagee appears influential among Tea Partiers. In 2006, Barna polls reported Hagee was regarded by Pentecostals as one the top ten spokesmen for Christianity. Glenn Beck, who is riding a wave of tremendous popularity, has promoted Hagee’s book Can America Survive? 10 Prophetic Signs That We Are the Terminal Generation. This month the book is number seven on the New York Times political bestsellers list. Hagee can be seen on YouTube listing all ten of the signs in conversation with Beck.
@Tao
Yes I remember those town hall meetings, people were upset with their elected reps and went to tell them just that, that’s what town halls are all about, or did you think different?
That’s your example of violent? So dissent is only cool when you’re not in power then?
By calling me right wing you’ve just exposed yourself.
must say am amused at the level of detail in the rebuttle, I just can’t bring myself to care enough to respond in kind to the daily trolls (who seem to be in greater numbers recently on old Maxy’s site)…the greatest thing about the “propaghanda effect” as is termed…is the talking points origin becomes obscured as the subject intergrates the concept. The thing is not to overly construct the subject allow them enough freedom in organizing the concept and they will fully intergrate it to the point they will believe they are it’s true authors
there are tons of “Reconstructed memories” papers published in the 90s dealing with this
the famous “Lost at the mall” where you bring in a child or adult tell them you are testing memory (which you are…. can’t lie to test subjects after the old Stanford debacles in the 60′s) in testing, fabricate a memory, by saying “Do you remeber when you were lost at the mall…or do you remember when the clown was at your birthday party” the subject upon the first encounter may object and say ” No I was never lost or never had a clown”, but in the interviews conducted a week or month or a year later will have crafted an entire story from just that first germination
the forces arrayed against the modern man to craft his/her opinion and bend his/her will towards those who are in positions of power is unG-dly
so I don’t loos to much time fretting over people recycling 1950′s era talking points…this era’s Birchers are just usefully IDIOTS (look up the true meaning of that word if you think I am doing a childish slap) as the old commie playbook tells me
@chArles
Those books “show” nothing other than telling the story, first hand accounts, of people that actually lived under Stalin and Mao, are you a blockhead?
You’re obviously not an American either, both your spelling/grammar could be exploited by a third grader, and you can’t even form a trick question that’s intelligible let alone that makes a bit of sense.
A basic encounter with Marx, seriously, no really, seriously, are you a dope?
You keep referring to Communism as Commies? Really? Again how can one take you the least bit serious?
Maybe being an Anarchist you passed up a decent education or did you pull your diploma from a cracker jack box?
Better yet, maybe Marx got you with “From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs” whereas you “needed” and education but your “abilities” didn’t allow it.
Your memory fails you conveniently because you have no facts. Adding up just Mao and Stalin, let alone Pol Pot, Che, and Lenin 100 million people murdered using starvation. The simple fact of the matter is that Communism has failed the people everywhere it has been implemented, it is not only oppressive but denies basic human and individual rights.
You keep using Industrialization as the cause and saying that Capitalism could have done the same thing, thats funny because we didn’t to starve millions to death during our industrial revolution and according to history neither did the UK, Canada, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden or Australia amoung others.
nahh I am dead serious about the advice in not trusting Disc Jockeys, the rest of it was just trying to create a word limit…you’ve mastered the quick Blurb, I was trying to craft my own style…and Hello Ronron
“I watch and listen to a variety of opinions whether that is on the web, TV, radio, or a dying newspaper, and disseminate what I hear with a bit common sense and a bit of research when I have questions.”
Based on the kinds of thing you’re saying, what you take away from what you see and hear is subject to an amazing amount of confirmation bias (among other cognitive biases).
“I hear all the time from the left about right wing this, Nazi that, violent this or that about the conservative right but yet to see a shred of hard evidence presented, and surely if there was the MSM would be all over it.”
Where do you hear this “all the time?” Comparing the opposition to Nazis and Hitler Germany is a distinctly right wing phenomenon these days. As to violence, what about Sharon Engel’s reference to “Second Amendment Remedies,” the guy who flew his plane into the IRS building, the guy who watched Glenn Beck in the Bay Area and was stopped on the freeway on his way to shoot up the Shores Foundation (the only people who seem to know what that is are Beck followers)? If you’re not seeing proof of violent undercurrents on the right, you’re not looking for it very hard. Do you remember those town hall meetings last year?
Also, hate to tell this to you, but the MSM is not liberal or left wing.
“I won’t play the right/left paradigm because the only winner becomes the establishment, the oligarchy.”
Too late.
“I’ve voted for republicans, democrats, independents, and libertarians, I have no allegiance to party, I vote my conscience.”
Which, clearly, is a very right wing and muddled conscience.
“When I see an ornament of Mao on the White House Christmas tree it bugs me, is that OK with you?”
Says who? Glenn Beck? Personally, I could give a crap about what ornaments get hung on a tree.
“When I see people in the administration preaching about how great Hugo Chavez is and what a great job he’s doing I cringe, is that OK with you too?”
When did that ever happen? And, if it did, which I doubt, why should I care? Given all of the ruthless dictators that we’ve been in bed with, why should I care about a relatively benign dictator?
“When I see people like Timothy Geithter heading the Federal Reserve and he can’t even get Turbo Tax right, that doesn’t sit well with me, does it you?”
Uhm, Geithner is the Secretary of the Treasury Department. Do you want to guess again at who heads the Federal Reserve? I have no love for either Geithner or that other guy (hint: first and last names start with a B). I highly doubt either of them uses Turbo Tax. When you make their kind of money, you get an accountant. (By the way, who told you that Timmeh uses Turbo Tax, because he was pulling your leg.)
“How about these people in the adminstration that ALL came from Goldman:
This doesn’t sit well with me, does it you?”
Wow, look at how long into your rant it took you to get to the real root of the problem. You’ve been so busy with visions of Marxism and Maoists that you can’t prioritize.
“I might add that GWB also had a good number of former GS employees working for him too, so maybe the reason why Lehman was allowed to fail isn’t such a mystery now is it?”
It’s interesting how all of the extraordinary bailouts that came after Lehman failure have turned Lehman’s failure into a conspiracy instead of the way laissez-faire capitalism is supposed to work.
“Don’t get me wrong, GWB had to go, no doubt about that, but what did we really end up with this time around?”
We wound up with the third term of GWB, but now we have a bunch of tools like Glenn Beck who claim the same actions when done by Obama are the evil actions of a marxist, socialist, communist, nazi-like, maoist, muslim, etc.
never trust a DISC JOCKEY…Beck’s rally was one of the most successful “Morning Zoo” promos ever crafted, for anyone who sees old Beck as anything other than a carnivel barker in an endless string of carnival barkers whose sole aim is to pry the cash from the local hayseeds wallets, I feel sorry for y’all
uhmm I can’t spell…and quote from memory…especially at work when I am stealing time…this does not discredit my thesis…which was forced industrilization obliterates peasant societies.
the authors of those books can “SHOW” a connection from the policies which Marx advocated to achieve a communist society? (HINT it’s a trick question)
you would know the answer if you had even a basic encounter with Marx…
but you are convinced that Commies bad Capitolist Good, nice binary you got working there…since you are the keeper of numbers, what’s the death tally on America’s industrialism? just keep the books honest and remember my country’s industrilization came on westward exspansion and cheap cotton
get some different talking points, I have encountered your current set on every AM radio in my country
Good books to read, first hand accounts of life under both Stalin and Mao
Tombstone by Yang Jisheng
first hand accounts show how 30-50 million people were put to death by starvation
Execution by Hunger: The Hidden Holocaust by Miron Dolot
another first hand account of death by starvation
Read these and then come back and tell me how great Mao and Stalin are, they murdered on purpose, and used the worst way to do it, starvation.
@chArles
First of all maybe you should go back to grade school or get a spell checker, it will really go a long ways in making you look smarter than really are.
Second take a lesson in comparing isms, I’m going to quote you now –
“Communism or Capitolism, or Catholcism or Judism”
Tell me you know that there is difference, or are you really that ignorant?
@Tao Jonesing
I watch and listen to a variety of opinions whether that is on the web, TV, radio, or a dying newspaper, and disseminate what I hear with a bit common sense and a bit of research when I have questions.
I hear all the time from the left about right wing this, Nazi that, violent this or that about the conservative right but yet to see a shred of hard evidence presented, and surely if there was the MSM would be all over it.
It doesn’t take long to find it on the left, however, when people like Ed Schultz go nutty http://www.hapblog.com/2010/08/ed-schultz-goes-ballistic-you-have-no.html or when people like Bill Ayres blow up things, heck even the hostage taker in DC at the Discovery Channel today was a left wing nut job
I won’t play the right/left paradigm because the only winner becomes the establishment, the oligarchy. I’ve voted for republicans, democrats, independents, and libertarians, I have no allegiance to party, I vote my conscience.
I see kids running around in Che shirts thinking they’re cool, heck I’ve seen them wearing Mao shirts as well, that line of thinking as history would tell us has NO happy ending.
When I see an ornament of Mao on the White House Christmas tree it bugs me, is that OK with you? When I see people in the administration preaching about how great Hugo Chavez is and what a great job he’s doing I cringe, is that OK with you too?
When I see people like Timothy Geithter heading the Federal Reserve and he can’t even get Turbo Tax right, that doesn’t sit well with me, does it you?
How about these people in the adminstration that ALL came from Goldman:
Dianna Farrell
Stephen Friedman
Gary Gensler
Robert Hormats
Philip Murphy
Mark Patterson
John Thain
theres more…..
This doesn’t sit well with me, does it you? I might add that GWB also had a good number of former GS employees working for him too, so maybe the reason why Lehman was allowed to fail isn’t such a mystery now is it?
Don’t get me wrong, GWB had to go, no doubt about that, but what did we really end up with this time around?
People are starved under communist centralism, more people are starved under capitalist centralism and guest what I wouldn’t wait for Glen Beck to do anything about it.
How anyone can denigrate what Glenn Beck accomplished on 8/28 is a testament of their own perversion of basic foundations for propriety. He is re founding with the fundamentals and for a minute stop your focus on him and look at ‘who’ that huge crowd consisted of and what they represent.
reminds me of the old rock song….”clowns to the left, jokers to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with youuuuu….
are we stuck in the middle? Guess we are. Stuck in the middle and shouting our guts out about how the false paradigm is killing the country and the world.
I find you laughable…sorry I do…oh the commies killed millions upon millions…really? or did forced industrialization slaughter the hordes?
its Pavlonean with your talking points…if you can not differentate against a philosophical strain of thought and National State policies that would occur whether they were done under the umbrella of “Communism or Capitolism, or Catholcism or Judism” you have a minimal understanding of history
Millions DIE when you force industrilization upon a Rural populace…now how the folks who want to force this yoke down the many’s neck can be called Communism or “The WHITE man’s Burden” it is illrelevant….
but go on with the talking points feed to you since grade school….you amuse me….little advice don’t lecture anArchist on the sins/horrors of commies. they will never take you serious because you don’t have the most simplest grasp of history
I read a book of his called “So Great a Salvation”. I had to decide on a nice study Bible so I picked his. So far, I am pleased. As for Dispensationalism, I do not see it mentioned much if at all. It is pretty scholarly. I don’t always agree with the footnotes but most of the time they seem correct.
You’re just pretending to be a Beck follower, right?
If you really are a Beck follower, you should consider lurking because you’re accomplishing the opposite of what you seem to want, at least with me (and probably chArles).
“I don’t get the whole Glenn Beck as a target thing.”
Calling Glenn Beck a clown who is not to be taken seriously is just another way of pointing out that those who follow him are fools for taking him seriously. I think Beck is not a clown but a demagogue (and, therefore, worth taking seriously because of his effect on people), but the point about his followers is spot on.
The upside is that Beck-drecks provide lots of unintentional laughs. That could easily change, though. They have “brownshirt” written all over them.
@Charles Glad you find it so humorous, I’m sure the 50 million that were starved to death under Lenin/Stalin, the tens of millions that Mao had killed, and the millions dying at the hands of Pol Pot thought it was funny too.
Lets not forget that more people have been murdered in the world during peace time than during war time, maybe thats just too hard a fact for you to swallow but its true.
So yes I don’t take Marxists or Communists lightly, people are killed/starved in droves under either ruling.
I suppose they could be white dots. But notice that the jersey pokes above her outer bodice suggesting lace. I have asked that their shows be broadcast in HD so I could do better critiques but alas, no joy yet.
As for botox, may it never be!
As for Max, I hope he is well paid by a shirt and tie maker. Do you think Stacy picks them out?
And I think the movement will grow darker with the economy. Beck will get darker too, if he wants to stay in front of it, or he will be replaced by someone who will.
@F Beard
Sick of the Bible ? The Bible is not that bad. Like any religious text, there are assholes that interpret it litterally but even worse, satanic snake people like Bush and Palin that use these fuckin retards to justify their wars.
I don’t much care for Media Matters, so please forgive the link on Beck, just believe that is Beck’s function to herd the disaffective GOP Rural whites back into the fold (making sure they don’t stray to far into AJs or Libertarian La La land) and make them believing that Austerity is the only means of saving “Their” country
as to the over coverage of this wanna be John Smith hustler, the inarticulate anger expressed by the folks drawn to him is real…yet it has been ever presant in America it is only during times of crisis that it becomes problamatic for the dominant elites….Beck is there to distract the monkeys
The truth is I am sick of man-made doctrines whether Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, reformed or what ever. I’ll just stick with the Bible and be content.
I don’t get the whole Glenn Beck as a target thing. Whereas Sarah Palin who is supposedly “not to be taken serious” yet continues to receive note and attention. For example, I don’t take Sarah Palin seriously so I don’t think about Sarah Palin and I don’t do searches or make comments on Sarah Palin. It then becomes distracting when I defer to venues that I use for data/info and there is some emphasis on the “not to be taken serious.” This is sick. Similarly, with Glenn Beck, it is the same damn thing. If he is a clown and “not to be taken serious” then why is he given critical time. Do you ever consider the cost of time (if not my time) and then allocate it to another “not to be taken serious.” And to add, as a derivative, I would not even comment on the “stupidness of commenting on the ‘uncommentable’” except that I have accepted some position to make this area “MaxKeiser.com” a place for information gathering.
This is wretched and disgusting. Who cares? Who the “F***” cares! If it is emotional, if it is staged, if it is theater, who cares? At a minimum, I would think one would understand that there is thought regarding “some principle” or an attempt at such which I would think would be super-high on everyone’s radar given the discrepancies of the Bush era and now the Obama era. On a purely dialectical level, I would think the position would be to (1) respect that point (some attempt to adhere to a principle) and then (2) add the “not to be taken serious” in consideration to any more consideration.
I am now reading analysis from those I thought had a little bit of brains, a little bit of intelligence to equate “Beck” with “Hitler.” Are you kidding? Has the world become so brain-rot that it cannot see that Beck is what he is. There is NO capacitance to dominate, engineer in the way that Hitler attempted. Beck is called a dolt and then again is given attention contrary to his “not to be taken serious” status. This is sick. And it is not funny. And it is the kind of lack of critical reasoning and thinking that has our culture and economy in such death throes. So, yes, we need to identify problems and yes we need to work on them…not just mock and deride, which serves no purpose.
He is some sort of anti-population growth, radical environmentalist type who has clearly gone a bit off the deep end.
Concerning wisdom:
Her ways are pleasant ways
And all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her,
And happy are all who hold her fast. Proverbs 3:17-18 (New American Standard Bible)
Thanks for the recommendation. I don’t think any doctrine can convey the truth of the Bible. The truth is that God is sovereign and He is good. He can change the past, present and future. The Word is living; all I want is a good translation and a few simple footnotes.
F. Beard, “I use the Charles Ryrie Study Edition”, excuse me for saying so, but I feel it must be stated that Ryrie is one of our dispensationalist proponents, the main Dallas man given that charge.
This school of thought, while having many well intentioned followers (a very large % of we gringos, most not aware of it), is poisonous. Think Hagee.
Dispensationalism, like arminianism can find its’ roots in the R.C. cult.
I like the ASV 1901, if you can find it, and AV for flow, but literal must be there as well. This from the lowest of students.
@ “I had alwasy doubted you being a Marxist but now I wonder not so much. I’ve asked several times if you or Stacy were but not a peep outta either of you denying such.”
I find this SOOOOOO adorable…a political/philosophical strain of thought in which material conditions determine the shape of ideas a society is able to articulate and therefore develope around is a playground Slur in modern America

The bodies of poor and indigent people for whom Des Moines County would be required to pick up the bill for burial or cremation will soon be offered up to medical schools to use for educational purposes before being laid to rest at public expense.
During a recent review of state law while helping update the county’s general assistance manual, Senior Assistant County Attorney Amy Beavers turned up an old law, previously unenforced by the county, requiring bodies being buried with taxpayers’ dollars must be offered for use by medical science. Once the college or medical school has finished with the body, it will be properly buried or cremated.
Quantitative Easing (QE I) spearheaded by the Chairman of Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke delayed the inevitable demise of the fiat shadow money banking system slightly over 18 months.
That is why in November of 2009, I was so confident to warn my readers that by the end of the first quarter of 2010 at the earliest or by the second quarter of 2010 at the latest, the global economy will go into a tailspin. The recent alarm that the US economy has slowed down and in the words of Bernanke “the recent pace of growth is less vigorous than we expected” has all but vindicated my analysis. He warned that the outlook is uncertain and the economy “remains vulnerable to unexpected developments”.
Obviously, Bernanke’s words do not reveal the full extent of the fear that has gripped central bankers and the financial elites that assembled at the annual gathering at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. But, you can take it from me that they are very afraid.
Why?
Let me be plain and blunt. The “unexpected developments” Bernanke referred to is the collapse of the global banks. This is FED speak and to those in the loop, this is the dire warning.
Bottemline: Denying all this info you must have some sort of “Denial”, “Head in the Sand” or maybe “Targeting Fixation” process going on. Otherwise I can’t explain the denial of this blatant truth?
Yes, Beck’s a clown, but there’s much method in that there madman.
Soupy didn’t wrap himself in a “cloak of invisibility” woven of the myth of America’s unrivaled superiority like Beck, and our other demagogues, do.
What’s the common theme of Becksters, Birthers, and Baggers, oh my? They’re all on the Yellow Brick Road to see the Wizard. They’ve been infantilized by weapons of mass deception.
Beck’s our latest Zardoz[1]. Faux News is his fake flying godhead, powered by the myth of America as god’s chosen land. Can’t you hear it?
Watch this clip over at Firedoglake, in which Becksters speak in terms of The Beck’s power to magically transform this benighted land (and we all can see who benighted us: the Dark One and his dark darkies and their darky-loving liberal friends) into the Promised Land.
And while you’re at it, watch John Oliver’s segment from 7 months ago, Even Better Than the Real Thing, in which JO says, “Beck has so mythologized his childhood, he’s completely lost touch with reality,” and where you’ll find this comment made by yours truly, presented here in a much edited form (so much for being terse).
The Baggers and Birthers and Beckerheads oh my have done the same with our political economics. They’re in a fantasy land, but not a random one, of course.
NEWSREEL: The 1940s have been a decade of breakthroughs and developments in medicine and psychiatry. Scientists have developed a new technology to cure mentally ill adults. With the use of electroshocks, the minds of sick patients are being wiped clean, giving them a fresh start. On this blank slate, physicians then imprint a new healthy personality.
NAOMI KLEIN: Remaking people, shocking them into obedience. This is a story about that powerful idea. In the 1950s, it caught the attention of the CIA. The agency funded a series of experiments. Out of them was produced a secret handbook on how to break down prisoners. The key was using shock to reduce adults to a childlike state.
TEXT: The following narration is excerpted from the CIA’s 1963 and 1983 interrogation manuals.
NARRATION: It’s a fundamental hypothesis of this handbook that these are techniques are, in essence, methods of inducing regression of the personality. There is an interval, which may be extremely brief, of suspended animation, a kind of psychological shock or paralysis. Experienced interrogators recognize this effect when it appears and know that at this moment the source is far more open to suggestion, far likelier to comply, than he was just before he experienced the shock.
NAOMI KLEIN: But these techniques don’t only work on individuals; they can work on whole societies: a collective trauma, a war, a coup, a natural disaster, a terrorist attack puts us all into a state of shock. And in the aftermath, like the prisoner in the interrogation chamber, we, too, become childlike, more inclined to follow leaders who claim to protect us.
One person who understood this phenomenon early on was the famous economist of our era, Milton Friedman. Friedman believed in a radical vision of society in which profit and the market drive every aspect of life, from schools to healthcare, even the army. He called for abolishing all trade protections, deregulating all prices and eviscerating government services.
These ideas have always been tremendously unpopular, and understandably so. They cause waves of unemployment, send prices soaring, and make life more precarious for millions. Unable to advance their agenda democratically, Friedman and his disciples were drawn to the power of shock.
Dude, you just blew my mind. This is exactly what I’m on about! What’s the primary function of the shock in Naomi Klein’s epochal Shock Doctrine? Infantilization! They’re trying to mind-f^#% us into infants, and when we regress, to impose themselves on our psyches in the “angry father” iconic image, the better for TPTB to jack us to hell and stick us with the bill in every effing way. IOW, Faux News can be seen here using the power of myth to power weapons-grade domestic propaganda. John Oliver, I bow in your virtual direction. (Oh yeah: who’s the precocious kid?)
[1]
In the year AD 2293, a post-apocalyptic Earth is inhabited mostly by the “Brutals”, who are ruled by the “Eternals” who use other “Brutals” called “Exterminators”, “the Chosen” warrior class. The Exterminators worship the god Zardoz, a huge, flying, hollow stone head. Zardoz teaches:
The gun is good. The penis is evil. The penis shoots seeds, and makes new life to poison the Earth with a plague of men, as once it was, but the gun shoots death, and purifies the Earth of the filth of brutals. Go forth . . . and kill!
The Zardoz god head supplies the Exterminators with weapons, while the Exterminators supply it with grain. Meanwhile, Zed (Sean Connery), an Exterminator, enters Zardoz, hidden in a load of grain, and shoots (and apparently kills) its pilot, Arthur Frayn (Niall Buggy) (identified as an Eternal in the story’s prologue), and travels to the Vortex. The Vortices are hidden communities of civilization where the immortal “Eternals” lead a luxurious but aimless existence. [Wikipedia: Zardoz.]
SHUT HIM DOWN?!
Max I can hardly believe you said that, would you agree with the oligarchy voices calling to shut you down? I guess they could in France as you really don’t have any freedom of the press or any free speech liberties. Last time I checked we had civil liberties that allow speech like Glenns, yours, Al Sharptons, Jesse Jackson, Alex Jones, etc.
I had alwasy doubted you being a Marxist but now I wonder not so much. I’ve asked several times if you or Stacy were but not a peep outta either of you denying such.
When you call for actions to “shut someone down” you tread a very slipery slope, now if you were a Marxist that wouldn’t bother you so much and it would seem that it doesn’t.
@Youricarma
I’m not in favor of many of Israel’s policies however stuff like that is very dangerous because it stirs up hatred. The US right now is heading towards 1960′s type racial conflict. I’ve predicted this even before the economic disaster. Matt Taibbi sees racial conflict coming to the US also.
Climategate – The e-mails from the IPCC proved without a shadow of a doubt that the IPCC was committing fraud and altering and leaving out data to fit the hocky stick algorithm which was pre-produced to fool the public.
- The preproduced a hocky stick algorithm
- the left the coldest data out and only used the “warm” weather station near or in city areas
- They shifted the CO2 data back past the temp data so that it looks like that CO2 always comes before earth’s temp rising while in realty it lags 800 years behind
- They left out an earlier warmth bump in the data to create the perfect hocky stick
- The hocky stick graph is made super algorithmic so that it looks like the temps are risng like crazy while in fact they are declining.
I don’t get it, she is dressed like a 70′s Mary Quant model, any more covered up and she would be wearing a Burka, is that what your aiming for ? Metoo
What? You didn’t see her midriff?!
That does remind me of the Russian news babes who did the news in their underwear.
This scientist – Roger Thomas posted this on the BBC Newsnight blog. He claims to have done the original research to the “Sir David’s’ climate change / terrorism risk assessment”
Guardian now has the original of ‘Sir David’s’ climate change / terrorism risk assessment. The problem was he never cited me as the original source so anyone could read the it in its true context. The argument got reduced to a soundbite.
Post from NN blog. The risk assessment was written for a United Nations report the week after we set up the new generation of UK climate models.
I fully endorse what Adam the Great and Frankone say. But the analysis should go deeper. It is not just the ability for computers to model complex situations. It is the philosophy on which those models are based on, even before the first number is crunched which I take issue with.
How the models were set up was not based on some open blue sky vision of scientific freedom, but more on the criteria the funders wanted looking at. Even before the first word of scientific discussion was uttered, what and how it would be looked was already determined.
Personally I do not believe the self evolving, multi feedback (non linear) etc ecological life support systems of the planet can be assessed by a climate only approach. It is about as nonsensical as saying a car is safe and has passed its MOT when only the tyres have been looked at.
Further I do not believe the climate system can be fully understood by taking a predetermined carbon lead approach of investigation. I agree carbon plays a part. Further to this I do not believe the ‘carbon lead’ control of the earth’s climate can be accomplished by cap and trade, which effectively gives control of the sustainable ecology of the planet to the same market and trading systems behind the economic collapse.
If they can’t run a banking system why are we allowing them anywhere near the ecological systems of the planet. At a conference last year Sir David was giving a talk, half way through he came up with a “when I met Al Gore last year” statement and flashed up a ‘Hello’ type picture to prove it. Al Gore was though excellent in playing a role in raising the challenge, but now somehow we have evolved to a situation by a number of steps where the solution bares no relevance to the original problem.
My own opinion is if we are going to sustainably manage a planet, we go back to first principles and look at it as a whole planet. Not take some Cartesian reductionist approach. Planet is only climate is only carbon is only cap and trade.
I’m having a dialog with a guy I’ve known for 35 years. He was at the rally. He didn’t like Kunstler’s write up. I told him what I didn’t like about it thus:
All in all, it was emotional, it was designed to evoke God and Country, it avoided deep discussion or dialogue about misplaced priorities beyond Obama (America’s problems have been a long time coming). It was designed to solidify Beck and Palin’s role in leading the Tea Party movement while being remarkable non-specific about where you go with that kind of emotion, and with those people.
And this is the part that has Kunstler and other’s very critical. History is full of examples of mindless “emotional starts” to movements that produced nothing but mischief later on. These things always appeal to virtue, mother and apple pie, and then they go feral.
Oh, and the Martin Luther King and Lincoln Memorial stuff doesn’t mean anything to me one way or the other. It’s Theater.
In fact, with little real content the whole thing strikes me as theater. This makes me very suspicious. Beck flip-flopped on a number of issues including bank bailouts, first he favored them, then he was against them. I don’t track the guy steadily because I see him as a lightweight, an entertainer. But now he has a steady crowd in his thrall. The crowd is angry. He has to stay in front of it. What will that produce? Not much or not much good, that’s my take.
First time in History that a Vice-President – Dick Cheney takes over the direct command over NORAD!
I was made aware of it during the time that the airplane coming into the Pentagon. There was a young man who had come in and said to the vice president, “The plane is 50 miles out. The plane is 30 miles out.” And when it got down to, “The plane is 10 miles out,” the young man also said to the vice president, “Do the orders still stand?” And the vice president turned and whipped his neck around and said, “Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?” http://georgewashington.blogspot.com/2007/03/minetas-testimony-confirmed.html
Now that China most probably lost 430 billion dollars shorting US tresuries and bonds, it’s probably the best time to start shorting US treasuries and bonds.
Julian Cook, chief economist at Donnelly-McPartlin, said: “We are now facing the terrifying possibility that some people may not repeat their mistakes.”
In a small town when a new litter of puppies arrives, everyone knows who the father is.
Emergent technology has turned the entire planet into a small town. A massive increase in expressive capability just kind of tippy toed into all of our lives.
As with a a new litter of puppies, we can drink deeply on this capability wave and need not think we are trapped in this spent piece of chariot trash we call the Plutonomy and the rest.
The best way Keyenes works is giving money to the poor cause they are the only ones who spend it immediately while others just put it on their bank accounts. Youri
I am disappointed by the Austrians. Supposedly they understand the injustice of FRL but their only solution is ruthless liquidation. Mises, their hero, was an agnostic Jew yet many Austrians claim to be Christian. My view of the Austrians is changing to that of a bunch of misers who are waiting with glee to buy up assets on the cheap even at the risk of misery and war.
I like the word for word translations not the thought for thought ones. I don’t read Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek but I want to get as close to the original sentence structure as possible. I like the New American Standard Bible myself. I use the Charles Ryrie Study Edition. I reckon just about any version of the Bible will do as long as one reads it enough to have the proper context.
Don’t forget that most of the “stimulus” went to banks which hoard the money on their balance sheets. Cash-for-clunkers is the exception – throw them some crumbs – variant.
All the bail out money could buy up everybodies mortgage/ home!
Keyenes never was realy used so I am always surprised if dupers start this discussion of “keynes doesn’t work” or somtin. That’s a delusion.
The best way Keyenes works is giving money to the poor cause they are the only ones who spend it immediately while others just put it on their bank accounts.
Wow. GM is a real hot stock. Why are the assholes buying today ?
Because november election is coming and the usual bastards will get free money for their bonuses ? Expect the bond holders to get murdered. As for GM it’s a buy. Just kidding.
Cash-for-clunkers proves that stimulus works temporarily but the money should have been just given to the population for debt relief and to compensate savers for suppressed interest rates. Out system refuses to admit that FRL is to blame.

It’s the US dollar that is in reality getting killed today. A little bit of distraction to hide the fact the greenback is getting murdered. Wondered how much JP Morgan pays you to post always the same bullshit Mike.

Hahahaha, yes, Tony Blair did not “foresee” Iraq nightmare…when he had Dr. Kelly murdered. When he sided with the Mass Murderer/Lair/War Criminal Bush, or when he was slurping Jeff Gannon: Male Prostitute in Bush White House apartment. Poor Tony: has trouble with that “vision thing” like Poppy.

Just watched Inception. Only hellywood can mix philosophy with so much killing and explosion.
Anyway I think one can count me as a good example of morphic-resonance. Because until yesterday I had not heard of that movie or it’s plot. And assuming thousands had seen that long before me, it is interesting that I have been contemplating and talking about ideas and how contagious they are. It certainly made me wonder. sincerely yours resurrected one
@Daddy,
No shame taken.
No more Truth about Comments MP3 downloads?????? Explain.

@cult,
I read a book of his called “So Great a Salvation”.
Beck is not a clown hes a hegalian nightmare
It was a missed opportunity for Glen Beck to break from the neo-con pack. I hope Andrew Napolitano works overtime to correct this guy.
Soupy Sales was great and he left us last year.

Yes I remember those town hall meetings, people were upset with their elected reps and went to tell them just that, that’s what town halls are all about, or did you think different?
That’s your example of violent? So dissent is only cool when you’re not in power then?
By calling me right wing you’ve just exposed yourself.
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/obama-adm-uses-child-indoctrinating-socialist-to-promote-illegals-pay-program/
So if I get you correctly, since we’ve been in bed with dictators before, it’s OK to do again? That’s some great logic there!
I consider Beck an entertainer, just Max or the rest of the talking heads so you can take your “cognitive biases” bs and pass it on to someone else.
And last but least I guess the Turbo Tax thing went right over your head!
@ Tao Jonesing
must say am amused at the level of detail in the rebuttle, I just can’t bring myself to care enough to respond in kind to the daily trolls (who seem to be in greater numbers recently on old Maxy’s site)…the greatest thing about the “propaghanda effect” as is termed…is the talking points origin becomes obscured as the subject intergrates the concept.

@chArles
Heres a word of advice for you to make an intelligent argument next time you’re working the gulag
http://www.spellchecker.net/spellcheck/ <<<USE IT!!
With that I'll leave you with my only favorite Karl Marx quote
"I am not a Marxist"
nahh I am dead serious about the advice in not trusting Disc Jockeys, the rest of it was just trying to create a word limit…you’ve mastered the quick Blurb, I was trying to craft my own style…and Hello Ronron
@Dutchman,
I’ll assume you’re serious and respond.
And you eat it up.
Hi ronron.

how could max and stacy be such fools?

never trust a DISC JOCKEY…Beck’s rally was one of the most successful “Morning Zoo” promos ever crafted, for anyone who sees old Beck as anything other than a carnivel barker in an endless string of carnival barkers whose sole aim is to pry the cash from the local hayseeds wallets, I feel sorry for y’all
i know you can’t give a doll away. but t shirts? don’t be a fool.
join up. free dolls and t shirts.
what about the big tits low intelligence party?
i mean glen is looking out for yous fucks.
how could max say this?
don’t shit me max.
@ TheFlyingDutchman
uhmm I can’t spell…and quote from memory…especially at work when I am stealing time…this does not discredit my thesis…which was forced industrilization obliterates peasant societies.
the authors of those books can “SHOW” a connection from the policies which Marx advocated to achieve a communist society?
@chArles
Oh wait you did, so you really are that naive!
@Rian Orr
More people are starved to death under capitalism?
Surely you’d bring some facts to back that up right?
Oh wait you can’t because its not true, get a grip man anyone with a lick of sense knows that statement is a complete fallacy.
@Tao Jonesing
Yeah shame on you all for thinking Palin and Beck are a couple of fuckwitted puppets…………………..
oh, hang on
Max is a clown too. A likeable and smart clown. But a clown with a message and kernels of truth. Please, try not to be so predictable.
@flying dutchman
People are starved under communist centralism, more people are starved under capitalist centralism and guest what I wouldn’t wait for Glen Beck to do anything about it.
@stacyherbert
MK Ultra mindcontrol Victim – CIA Skull& Bones. On drugs of cause.
How anyone can denigrate what Glenn Beck accomplished on 8/28 is a testament of their own perversion of basic foundations for propriety. He is re founding with the fundamentals and for a minute stop your focus on him and look at ‘who’ that huge crowd consisted of and what they represent.
Shame on you.

@ TheFlyingDutchman

@Dutchman,
You’re just pretending to be a Beck follower, right?
If you really are a Beck follower, you should consider lurking because you’re accomplishing the opposite of what you seem to want, at least with me (and probably chArles).
@in the end,
“I don’t get the whole Glenn Beck as a target thing.”
@Metoo,
Yeah, I guess those are white dots. Women often dress to keep men guessing.
Sick of the Bible ? Marc Authier
I never said that. I read it every day. I always get something out of it.
@Metoo,
I suppose they could be white dots.
@F Beard
Sick of the Bible ? The Bible is not that bad. Like any religious text, there are assholes that interpret it litterally but even worse, satanic snake people like Bush and Palin that use these fuckin retards to justify their wars.
@chArles
My sentiments exactly..
just looks like white dots to me ,are we ever going to see product placement
Max’s shirts by Man at C&A
Stacey’s botox by Dysport
I don’t much care for Media Matters, so please forgive the link on Beck, just believe that is Beck’s function to herd the disaffective GOP Rural whites back into the fold (making sure they don’t stray to far into AJs or Libertarian La La land) and make them believing that Austerity is the only means of saving “Their” country
http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/201009010026
as to the over coverage of this wanna be John Smith hustler, the inarticulate anger expressed by the folks drawn to him is real…yet it has been ever presant in America it is only during times of crisis that it becomes problamatic for the dominant elites….Beck is there to distract the monkeys
@cultamerica,
The truth is I am sick of man-made doctrines whether Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, reformed or what ever. I’ll just stick with the Bible and be content.
Charitable Behavior Found in Bacteria
F. Beard, you continue to confound me, You really seem to have some reformed dna showing itself.

@cultamerica,
Thanks for the recommendation.
Dispensationalism, like arminianism can find its’ roots in the R.C. cult.

Indigent bodies must be offered to med schools
Attorney says county must comply with law before burial.
By NICHOLAS BERGIN

The bodies of poor and indigent people for whom Des Moines County would be required to pick up the bill for burial or cremation will soon be offered up to medical schools to use for educational purposes before being laid to rest at public expense.
During a recent review of state law while helping update the county’s general assistance manual, Senior Assistant County Attorney Amy Beavers turned up an old law, previously unenforced by the county, requiring bodies being buried with taxpayers’ dollars must be offered for use by medical science. Once the college or medical school has finished with the body, it will be properly buried or cremated.
Warning Global Fiat Currency Financial System Collapse By Early 2011
http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article22354.html
Excerpt:

@Youricarma

And who was this young man ? Did he die mysteriously ? Or was he promoted general to shut the fuck up ?

I am disappointed by the Austrians. Supposedly they understand the injustice of FRL but their only solution is ruthless liquidation. My view of the Austrians is changing to that of a bunch of misers who are waiting with glee to buy up assets on the cheap even at the risk of misery and war.
