For the second straight year, nearly 60 million seniors will not receive an increase in their monthly Social Security benefits.

Social Security is the main source of income for nearly two-thirds of these retirees, while a third relies on their benefit checks for at least 90% of their income , according to the Social Security Administration.

This deals another blow to the struggling economic recovery, affecting fully one-fourth of everyone in the country over the age of 16. It comes at a time when the economy needs more, not less, assistance.

  17. The Thai cabinet on Tuesday imposed a 15% withholding tax on capital gains and interest payments for government and state-owned company bonds, a clear signal that it would take tough measures to curb inflows of “HOT MONEY”.

Recent inflows of “HOT MONEY” were “PROBLEMATIC”. Mr Korn said foreign holdings of Thai bonds had increased “UNNATURALLY” over the past month, shooting to 10% of the total, and eclipsing a previous record of 4%.

Capital controls have been recently endorsed by the IMF as a legitimate short-term weapon for reducing the impact of volatile capital flows, but many economists remain sceptical about their effectiveness.

After an initial dip, the baht was the only Asian currency to appreciate against the dollar on Tuesday.

Brandon – Idaho is compromised by all the feckless white flight from California.

The key is that MERSCORP has a call center contract with EDS.
EDS does it’s call center in Nova Scotia.

If you own property in the USA, these bastards at MERS have only 44 employees, but the four executives believe that they should control 100% (you read that right ONE HUNDRED PERCENT) of the USA.

These jerks were contracted by the banks and servicers to maintain a database with your name as borrower, their name as the owner of title, and the bank as the party that hands MERS that control.

MERS then contracted EDS (an HP company) to do their call center functions, which they stuck in Nova Scotia! So, MERS for a while had all US loans being serviced out of Canada.

If that’s not a massive screw you America, what could be?

These people have created a financial terror attack on the world.

They should be held for financial terror charges and crimes against humanity.

    California Doctor and Marc Lytle,
The place to be is the country the cities will just filled with civil unrest and just pure hell especially the South and Southwest. I’m going to move to Wisconsin likely next year. The safest places to be are upper New England, the upper great plains, the upper Rocky mountain states like Idaho, Wyoming and Montana.

  25. Illinois Brandon

I wouldn’t stay in the Southwest if I was White, Black or Asian. The Aztlan movement is very real, the Mexicans know that the Europeans stole their land and they will take it back.

California appears to be running a $20 billion dollar hole every six to nine months. So, we’re seeing erosion of rule of law in California.

There appears to be a challenging split between the private interests and the government.

    The government is broke.

One wonders how long government agencies that have been bankrupted by the banks and their investment arms will permit these people to continue the abuse.

  30. @Marc Authier @Illinois Brandon

  32. California Doctor

    @Illnois Brandon -
In that posting about Quebec…Did mean “seceding”?

Brandon, there is a ballot measure on the California November ballot that is a direct attack on the legitimacy of the US Federal law.

California voters are being asked to vote on a proposition that essentially legalizes marijuana. This is an illegal act and a felony according to US federal law. But, amazingly, the California ballot will make it completely legal according to State law. The two can not co-exist logically, but in this state of affairs, California is essentially declaring itself independent from US federal law.

I can not understand how a state law can directly contradict a US federal law, but there are also wage laws, privacy protections, and real estate laws which differ between state and federal levels.

    @MarcAuthier,
i know Quebec beat back succession in 1980 and in 1995 by the narrowest of margins but in a crisis the Sovereignty movement it might succeed in my view. The Federalist know that Quebec holds all the cards if you guys succeed there goes the nation, the Western provinces like BC and Alberta aren’t going to stay in a union where Ontario is over 50% of it. Quebec and Ontario have always balanced each other.

  41. great Show !!!

  42. suggestions where/who to buy gold and/or silver?

  43. @Illinois Brandon
When the central government becomes so corrupt, it’s usually what happens.
Strange. Your comment about places like the Sourhwest makes me think a lot to the same dynamic at the end of the Roman Empire. You know what they say in Italy, I think it’s an italian proverb. A fish always start rotting from the head.

  44. Illinois Brandon

As Washington becomes weaker and weaker it wouldn’t be able to defend anything. It will just brutal in the cities especially in the US Southwest. I see millions of Mexicans seeing Washington’s weakness pouring over the border and totally overrunning the Southwest including Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Nevada and all of Southern California. Mexico will take back the Southwest!

  45. Illinois Brandon

    @MarcAuthier,
California will be the first part of the country to totally collapse. Look for people especially Whites to flee the Southern part of the state for lives even the super rich.

  46. @Youri
And this week the massives foreclosures frauds, apart from a couple of comments in the business media, is simply censored in the mass media. It’s systematic. We NEVER about what is really going on in California for example. TOTAL BLACKOUT.

  47. ITS FED POLICY TO INCREASE INFLATION

“The discussion about easing focused on steps to lift inflation expectations.

A few novel approaches were discussed, including being more specific about an inflation target, targeting a path for the price level rather than the rate of inflation or targeting a path for the level of gross domestic product without inflation adjustment.

H1N1 scandal ? Not ONE word in our official media.

  49. @Youri
No it’s worst than that. Canada is really under the control of USA fascists and nazis. There is strickly no freedom of speech or freedom of information. Anything about USA is censured in prime time hours.

  50. think of it this way. If you wanted to control things would you tell everyone the truth. Or would you hide information so that it benefits your agenda.

  51. I think most of us know we’ve been lied to and are being lied to for decades now. Or just don’t report on any important real information. Much like history. Just tell them what it takes to control them our way.

  52. @Marc Authier

Most people fail to see their thinking limitations – donnow themselves.

But in order to do this you have to be able to think outside oneself but also be able to place oneself in other person’s position and most people are simply intelectually not able to take that thinking step into a new level.

Or specific working environments in which even so-called intelectuals lose themselves getting professional disformed views because they can’t think outside their profession-box anymore.

  53. @California Doctor
You know what is the most disgusting. Our CIA USA Nazi controlled media in Canada and Québec never informs us of what is really going in your american health ‘paradise’. No here in Canada Québec they are all in awe because Obama is a brownie. Yeah pure desinformation of what is really going. Canada is a NAZI country when it comes to informing us about USA. Damn disgusting Canadian TV scum nazis. This type of info nevers shows up here. Same thing for the foreclusure catastrophe. NOT ONE FREAKIN WORD in the ordinary media, Not one report..

@Stacy – To let you know, I am referring family to New York hospitals and surgical programs due to the meltdown in California medical centers.
Since California is broke (literally the state gov’t has no money riding into the healthcare systems), the surgical sub-specialty programs are imploding on the West Coast.

There is no choice for some specialities to send the patient to New York because the NYC programs are at hospitals which are more stable.

  59. IPO = Initial public offering

An initial public offering (IPO), referred simply as an “offering” or “flotation”, is when a company (called the issuer) issues common stock or shares to the public for the first time. They are often issued by smaller, younger companies seeking capital to expand, but can also be done by large privately-owned companies looking to become publicly traded.

  60. @Youri Carma
You have to be disgusted by the stupidity of this fuckin human race. Record bond issuance of mostly pure junk ! I just imagine the average durations on this shit. Off the chart. You just need moderate inflation and a couple of spectacular defaults and everything comes crashing down. The bond racket is 50 times bigger than the stock racket. People are total assholes. 63. A new study of 2010 compensation by The Wall Street Journal found that the industry will pay out a record $144 billion this year. The compensation represents a 4% increase from 2009. It also slightly outpaces a 3% revenue increase at the big brokerages — most earned in the early part of the year.

  65. Stupid as these assholes are, I would charge them 10% just for buying my toilet paper. People deserve to be slaves indeed.

  66. @Youri Carma
What’s the next step. Assholes investors pay US government money to buy treasuries.

  67. “Treasury 3-year note yield hits new low in auction”

When you think: “This is probably too good to be true” it usually is too good to be true.

  68. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. has raised its 12-month price target for gold to $1,650 an ounce, saying the return of quantitative easing is likely to continue to be strong catalyst for gold.

Goldman’s economics team “expects the the US Federal Reserve to announce a return to quantitative easing measures as early as the November FOMC meeting.

  69. According to the proposal, shareholders, subordinated debt-holders and long-term senior debt holders of the failing institution would not be permitted to receive additional payments as part of the dismantling system.

Other creditors — such as DERIVATIVES COUNTER-PARTIES — would be eligible for taxpayer-funded payments.

The statute authorizes the FDIC to use U.S. taxpayer dollars to make partial payments to “healthy” COUNTER-PARTIES of the failing firm so that they wouldn’t go down with it.

the law requires the government to recoup the costs of the bailout by selling the bank’s assets and by COLLECTING FEES from big financial institutions.

The statute permits the FDIC to unwind a failing systemic insurance company or broker dealer investment bank or any company that the financial stability oversight council determines is systemically risky.

I can’t understand the health system over there. Australia spends less of its GDP per person on health than the US (11 vs 14% from memory) and yet we manage to provide universal coverage — for everyone. *shrugs cluelessly*

    herro hope good day

YOUR MOM 61????? when she have you …15? you have de young mommy. when mom better you two should make de mother /daughter gold 2000 wideo

  81. Good interview.

Yes, Miss Herbert, the state of US infrastructure has been in need of upgrading and repair since….Reagan. Go back and look at the news about it in the early 80s. We had other priorities, like invading Grenada. Invading Panama when Noriega started spilling the beans about Poppy….CIA….and drugs and weapons.

You see, what happened was the worst nightmare of D.C.s neocon, fiat money, spying/warfare Establishment: The rhetoric of the Iron Curtain falling came true. After Reagan had used Arms manufacturing to prop up the 80s manufacturing economy…until right before he left…and left a huge Debt bomb and a sinking economy.

Poppy inherited that mess (which his CIA and military cronies assisted mightily in creating), and what to do? Well, pretend to cut DOD spending by closing bases was the first lie. But again…not enough: who to be the boogieman now?

Well….how about those Idaho FBI-infiltrated “White Supremists”…let’s wait until the new president is in office…..big enough BOOM and some innocents killed should trigger enough panic…..but it didn’t. A Fail. Funny how one becomes a “conspiracy theorist” by simply stating one should watch the local TV news on youtube from OKC that day…and the live reports of the bomb squad and the bombs they defused..Maybe McVeigh had bombs mixed in with the kerosene and the cow poop, and they landed there unharmed and unexploded? Yeah, that must be it.

But who would have benefited if it had been “successful” enough to trigger panic?? Didn’t Clinton place 100,000 MORE local police on the payroll??? Didn’t he INCREASE DOD spending???

So what happened next? History repeated itself, and the next new president faced a “terrorist” act. Real “original.” Yawn: been there, done that with the last one.

We all know what happened on 9/11/01: WTC 7 tells us EVERYTHING we need to know. EVERYTHING. Only an idiot, a liar or traitor can’t “see it.”

Bin-Laden and his Merry Band of Towelheads did NOT place whatever explosives were used to C.D. WTC 7. Period. Nor does physics allow for I-beams the size and weight of city buses to be tossed in a parabolic arc upwards and outwards, and stuck into nearby buildings like arrows, during a “gravity collapse” like the two towers supposedly suffered. Only an explosive event tosses 20 ton I-beams like darts. O.N.L.Y.

Gravity is the force that pulls downward. If it was a gravity collapse, then the I-beams fall STRAIGHT DOWN. Why? “Because an object at rest tends to stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force. An object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force.”

I-beams falling from a “gravity collapse” THEN shot outward 300 ft?

They got “acted upon by an outside force.” And it weren’t jet fuel says me.

Barry Ritholtz: Good on ya.Please return soon. I am ashamed too. More ashamed I have not done something about it, quite frankly.

And that should be whatever it takes to re-establish Fairness and Lawfulness. But, maybe just letting it fail on it’s own lack of morality, excessive greed and hubris is the best path.

Seems to me most of America is still clinging to that bottle, refusing to hit bottom and admit it: they are addicting to easy money, easy work, easy and excessive rewards for efforts given, risks taken. Addicted to conscience-free occupations and war crimes against innocents in their name. Hard to have any sympathy for so many of those knuckleheads..yet we all know there are also so many just helpless pawns stuck in circumstances…needing EDUCATING. Assistance. Medical care. But they have to take the first baby steps away from their master’s sway.

Until then? Let’em hit bottom, basement level. Financial investors should take a hard look at where the future needs of America will be most critical…and supply capital for those with solutions. You know: capitalism.

A consortium of insurance underwriters offering America FULL COVERAGE for a set fee comes to mind immediately. Would 50% of the annual DOD budget cover it? Done deal.

What will the PTB use for currency to pay their security apparatus when the fiat system collapses from within? Their gold? Unlikely. Their silver…perhaps. Food and shelter and medical care and someone to tell them to wipe their ass? Yes. How long that will last with no supply sources taking paper in exchange is anyone’s guess.

I see 2, 3 or 4 nations emerging from the ashes….and Arizona ain’t invited to join the Bear Republic of the Redwood Empire: Mexico is.

The Golden Rules…there is nothing new under the sun. Nothing lasts forever…and that is a fact.

Stacy: Did you happen to catch the new JP Morgan commercial, where they crow about “helping over 200,000 families stay in their home”??? Saw it during a 49er game the other day…about fell out of my seat. Dimon must have gotten a woodie and a guffaw.

If I can just find a way to blank the commercials during internet football watching…

@Tamir – re: the pre-approved credit card; like I said in a thread yesterday, at this point, it’s China paying so Americans might as well load up on China’s dime but really they ought to spend it on investments that will continue to pay when China is forced to pull the plug for its own survival; and, by the way, at this point, China is a predatory lender, the definition being that of someone who lends knowing the other party cannot pay back

  86. @Stacy
Best to you and I wish you much strength and patience as well as all the best for your Mom to recover or transition peacefully. Well it certainly should be interesting being in the US for a time.

  87. Taking care of our moms and dads when they are old is our duty and privilege. I wish you and your mom all the best, Stacy.

    And BTW, good haircut, Max.

  88. @Tamir

    Recent stats

In Canada 69% of people are living one pay check to another.
As of last week in USA it’s NOW 77%,

  89. @stacy
hope your mom no suffer too much in her final years.

  90. @stacy

Oh max smiling at stacy in goofy way…. he miss de homeland too…….

  91. It’s about EXTERMINATING the middle class and poor people. Nazi USA eugenists in power.

  92. @Stacy – Hope your mom is better soon. Best wishes for you and you mom.

  93. @Tamir
And the rest of the world évidemment. I really have to conclude that the FED and all central banks are runned by vicious psychopaths. Royal Bank of Canada on a balance of 12,000$ ordinary check bank account presently pays an astounding interest of exactly 8 cents per month.

  94. @Tamir

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kf8TM4CIk5g&NR=1

THe problem is that the FED is bringing down USA and 300 million people for the joy ride.

  95. @ Microhousehold
I can tell you that in Italy there is a huge resistance and organised protest movement to get rid og Berlusconi, I predict he will be out within the next 3-6 months

  96. max and stacy are still not married? TAlk about moving slow.

Just kidding yah. You folks are fine the way you are. Marriage is just for when folks need to breed. So that the woman can finance the children.

  97. Tamir you are concerned about the reaction to US and Israeli foriegn policy, what you should be concerned about is not peoples reaction but the imperial policy pursued by both of these countries. The US to dominate the globe , Israel to dominate the Middle East using US as their proxy power. These policies have and are leading to more hatred, more terror, more death and destruction. Now in addition this immorality has spread throughout the financial system and threatens the stability of the entire planet. Is it any wonder people are wanting this BS to stop?

  98. @Marc Authier,

You often post “destroy the fed”. You don’t need to worry. I just read a story about the foreclosure situation in America – it is amazing, I could not believe my eyes. Don’t worry Marc, you’ll get what you wish for, This ship is going belly up, and a lot of people are going to get hurt. A female friend of mine immigrated to America a few years ago after getting married to an American. The guy just got fired, there were concerns for a while that they too will not be able to pay their mortgage, but the guy managed to find a job in Intel. I’m telling you, the distance between having it all and nothing is small, very small, too small.

  99. The Dork of Cork

Reading the FTs second article on the euro crisis -

What struck me was a Graph of total debt in the euro zone since 1999.

Goverment debt had a slip blip upwards but corporate financial and non financial debt has risen hugely since then and also to a lesser extent household debt.
Yet the article completly focused on fiscal debt.
    Amazing.

  100. Hello Stacy, my thoughts are with you and your mum, all the best.

On another note it was rather shocking to hear that a credit card greeted your arrival, hope you went out and spunked it up buying gold.

  101. TheFlyingDutchman

    @Kylie, Tamir, Cali Dr

Of course no one “wants” a handout but the flipside of that coin is that no one wants to “give up” the handout they’re getting.

I personally know of people who have rode the unemployment train for 2 years and only then getting a job when the gravy train was up.

The dutch did a study on their unemployment benifits, they used to have 5 years and people would wait until the last few months before getting a job, then they cut it to 3 years and again people would wait until the last month, so now they’ve cut it to 2 years.

People here in DC have had housing assistance for 3 generations, some places here are nicer than mine for 1/3 of the price but I don’t qualify because I make too much money in the eyes of the government. So what happens is that those making below 35K per year get to live in places that would normally take an income of over 100K to support, this leaves people like us paying the difference.

The problem with America is that there are now more people riding in the wagon than those pulling it.

Heres a link from snopes, because when I first saw it I couldn’t believe it, but its true.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F_G2zp-opg

    Whats the Pigs Name???????
So when you sit there and Blow Chunks look around your deep in it.

And Stacy How can you be involved with such a weasel? Are you just another codependent women? I guess if not Max the it would have been a prisoner, wife-beater, pedophile or moms-boy. To each their own but I don’t get it.

And as far as the plane it originated Where? FRANCE! where the price of fuel is so heavily taxed all they want is enough to get the hell out.

    Mike

  107. another good episode BUT something is going wrong in your video conversion or uploading as the sound is always slightly out of sync with the images. I don’t think I can be the only one who finds it a bit irritating.

  108. California Doctor

    @Kylie -
I find commonality in your quickly written response to Flying Dutchman.

I have advanced degrees and could be making 3X my current income if I get rid of my US citizenship and move to another nation.

This is symptomatic of the manipulation which takes people with advanced degrees, a great deal of experience, and a proven track record and then turns us into peasants for their oligarchy and kleptocracy.

I have no reason to doubt that even without my lifting a finger, the outrageous criminal misbehavior which creates the lying financial system before the world and the United States will be brought to justice and to full accounting.

  109. @TheFlyingDutchman,

You are right, of course. If you go down, I see a systemic collapse of just about any western economy. People seem to like hating America mainly because of its foreign policy, just like they like hating Israel (I was born there) due to the ongoing occupation etc., and in the process they completely mix up politics with the common person that does not necessarily approve these policies. Some even call for extreme measures to be employed against civilians (Daruka, for example, wants to nuke America and Israel).

  110. Max, I wish you’d watch today’s TechTicker on Yahoo! and comment on these two babbling nincompoops there. I would even pay you to comment but alas!, being a working welfare poor, still inhibiting The Boiled Frogs Nation soil I cannot.

  111. @Stacy,

I’m absolutely shocked by what you told us about the pre-approved credit card! I mean, there is no way in hell anything like would happen in my (European) country of residence.
    “pre-approved”? What is that!?!?!?!?

  112. Sorry about the typos. I obviously wrote that too quickly.

  113. Stacy,

Best to you and your family.

    @FlyingDutchman,

I agree. There are plenty of people who do know what’s going on. However, even among those who do not know, I personally do not know a single person who “just wants a government handout”. Both the educational system and the press in this country is so manipulated, it is insane. People in this country go to school, and they come out of school believing that they know something, but in truth they know very little. They know what they need to know to believe the lies they are sold by some faction – whether it be a manstream one, or a controlled opposition one. It has taken me years of reading and research to be able to fill in the information I did not learn in school. I had to have an open mind, too – not just to the possibility that the schools or the mainstream media had told me untruths, but to the possibility that the so-called alternative media might be lying or manipulating me as well. Not everyone can stomach the mental process of tossing a so-called “ivy league” education in the proverbial trash bin, and if they can’t I don’t can them morons – more, unfortunate. Being able to do that is, unfortunately, what it takes to learn the truth and survive in the aftermath of approximately 4 decades of accelerated destruction of our society.

  114. Great show .. Great Guests … Stacy looking “Wow” … and …
… even Max was Brilliant as well.
    ;-)
… great show again , Thx.

  115. Stacy much strenght and love.

  116. @Stacy. for some reason i was thinking that. sorry.

  117. Sorry way off topic but talk of panorama’s made me think of this – one for the voyeurs:-

    http://www.gigapan.org/gigapans/46074/

  118. @ Stacy,
Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

  119. Hope your mother gets well soon.

  120. TheFlyingDutchman

    @microhousehold

I know that but Max tends to perpetuate the lie, or stereotype if you will. It would be no different than for me to call all Frenchmen cowards, all Russians alcoholics, or every Irishman a member of the IRA.

I think the main reason the Karma Banque has failed, and yes we can say failed since 6 years later the effect on Coca Cola has been NADA, is because rather than UNITE the people with a common goal Max has fell victim to the right/left division.

The fact is that there is a large # of us that are not idiots, we don’t protest in order to fly below the radar, we QUIETLYprepare for whats coming in HOPE of surviving it and although it may be fun to bash America for the rest of the world it accomplishes NOTHING, much like the Karma Banque!

  121. TheFlyingDutchman

@Dookie, cause that should really be your name as you spew it alot.

I never said the world revolves around the US, if you had half a brain, just half of one you’d see that if the US defaults we take trillions $ from the world, one more time so you get it TRILLIONS that we owe.

Do I need to get out the crayons and draw you a pie chart that shows who bought the 13 trillion in debt we have?

When we default what do you think is going to happen in those countries that loaned the money?

Why do you have to be such a GD moron?

  122. Stacy why do you have to give them an address if youre a US citizen?

  123. How do I get a story to you? I tried e-mailing rt but got no response.

  124. anything but green.again

    @Stacy,

We’ll be good. Don’t worry about the blog. Focus on your mum.

  125. ah just read back and see your mum is not well, hope she is feeling no pain and if it her time to go she passes peacefully

much like my dad diagnosed one week before he died didnt know much for the last week due to the morphine and slipped away peacefully

  126. @ Stacy,
Best of Luck to your Mom.
Your strength is Moms best chance for a good outcome.
    Good on you.
    Take the fight to them.

  127. I don’t think Stacey was really in America the flag in the background wasn’t flapping naturally a bit like the moon landings :)

so was it like yeah in the Max house get to sit in from of the telly in your big white y fronts eating all the stuff Stacey doesn’t normally let you eat ? or surfing the net looking at midget porn :) bet you had fun :0

  128. microhousehold

    @Stacey
All the best for you and your mum

    @TheFlyingDutchman

We know that there’s a lot of Americans who know what’s going on,
You’d be surprised how much ignorance there is in the rest of the world
and how much lies are being told by the big media empires,
    Berlusconi for example.

  129. Max, good show, good guest, good information.

    Thanks for keeping things afloat.

  130. Sorry to hear about your mother Stacy.

    GOD BLESS HER.

  131. @theflyingDutchman.

Are you still believing everything revolves around the USA?

    It sure seems that way.,

    You live in the past.

  132. @Stacy

Best wishes to you and your mother. It is wonderful for a mother to have a loving and thoughtful daughter. It was good to see you.
Take care. You are loved by many.

  133. Winston F. Smith

Our government is owned and dictated to by international bankers and multinational corporations.

Of course the left-right paradigm is a sham. It’s a distraction, and a very effective divide-and-conquer technique.

The concept of Washington vs. Wall Street is also kabuki theater. The controllers of the American Ponzi economy will not police themselves, and will never arrest themselves. They are the same people wearing different hats at different times in their career. It’s a merry-go-round. One day a CEO. The next day a CONgressman. Then off to the Treasury Department. Next stop: K street. Sometimes these sociopaths can be on the board of the NY Fed and run one of the world’s largest financial institutions at the same time. It’s a very exclusive anti-social lunatic clique.

This is all done by FORCE, which of course, means it is TYRANNY.

As predicted by Emmanuel F. Goldstein …

  134. TheFlyingDutchman

@ Stacy, sorry to hear about your mom.

Just had open enrollment and rates are going up again to keep the “good” insurance. To insure my daughter and myself is costing just under $500/mo and my employer is contributing nearly $900/mo so I guess next year my plan will be classified as a “Cadillac” and be taxed accordingly.

@ MAX You can’t lump all of us into the “dumb American” pool as there are a good lot of us that know exactly what’s going on, rather than revolt and end up incarcerated where I can’t care for or protect my family, I choose to prepare in order to survive the collapse, this being silver, MRE’s, and a good GTFOOD plan when TSHTF.

As far as the rest of the world cheering on the collapse of the US, do people not realize that we’ll end up taking down all off the 1st world economies with us?

  135. Stacey, is absence making your heart get fonder! you sure look like someone in l**e

  136. @stacy hugs, I know how it feels

  137. @ StacyHerbert: Sorry to hear about your Mum.

btw: you’re big in NYC (as tall as those skyscrapers you’re standing amongst)

  138. Mike/Liverpool

    Well Max
Just a few more hours to go, before “ZERO hour”……any last minate tips before we jump out of the trenches & Charge into no mans land?

    Mike

Ps. Is it 12.00 tonight GMT?

  139. Hey Guys,

Good show, I watched it on TV this morning.

I visited the states too last month. The homeless problem was closer to India rather than a western ‘1st’ world country. Most of them seemed crazy rather than drunk. To be fair they haven’t unionised and started to cut off limbs and blind each other yet.

The public transportation system was fragmented and is discouraging to use, the people driving the trams did the most stupid things like stop, get out, leave the train unattended to get a drink. I tried walking from one build to another that was next door there wasn’t a proper path. It’s almost like they want people to use cars and nothing else.

Also, nothing is cheaper in the US than is it in Europe. Not even the stuff they call food.

    Won’t be visiting there soon.

  140. Wishing you both the best Stacy!

  141. Stoneleigh:
“Attempts by governments and central bankers to reinflate the money supply are doomed to fail as debt monetization cannot keep pace with credit destruction, and liquidity injected into the system is being hoarded by nervous banks rather than being used to initiate new lending, as was the stated intent of the various bailout schemes. Bailouts only ever benefit a few insiders. Available credit is already being squeezed across the board, although we are still far closer to the beginning of the contraction than the end of it. Further attempts at reinflation may eventually cause a crisis of confidence among international lenders, which could lead to a serious dislocation in the treasury bond market at some point.

This will be a very painful time. Deflation and depression are mutually reinforcing, leading to a vicious circle of decline that is very difficult to escape. It will be over when the (small amount of) remaining debt is acceptably collateralized to the (few) remaining creditors. At that point trust will begin to rebuild.

I couldn’t find specifically on Steve Keen’s site about ponzi break-ups; it’s probably right in front of me but I can’t understand it. I know Stoneleigh reads a lot of Keen, so kudos to the two of them; Stoneleigh really breaks it down for Joe Pint Of Guinness

Stoneleigh and Steve aren’t too big on gold though right? Well, Stoneleigh says if you’ve got no debt, go into gold if you can get by without selling it for 20 years. (?) But where does one go if all the fiat currencies are being devalued at the same time (what’s the point in that!?) How is cash king if a disintegration of the system is extremely possible?

  142. Mike/Liverpool

Very sorry to hear about your Mum Stacy, our best wishers.
    Mike

  143. Illinois Brandon

    @stacyherbert,
New York State and Connecticut are both donor states they have to send their money to DC for wars and banker bailouts.

  144. all traders are scum, wanting to make something for nothing.

Most of the time when you hear investors whining about corruption on these youtube videos is simply because they cannot be as greedy as central bankers can, you never provided anything of value anyway.

Go maximize your returns on some other planet pls.

  145. @Dedo @Grisu @Teresa – thanks a lot, that helps

  146. Logically Kerviel had 3 possible influences. 1) His superiors told him to do so 2) He was working for himself 3) He was working for the people he placed the bets with.

Im more of the opinion that it was Number 3.

  147. Very sorry to hear about your mother, Stacy.

  148. @Stacy
Sorry to hear about your mom‘s illness.Wish you both all the best and strength
and humour to overcome the illness and the insurance company.

  149. @Geek Boy – omg! larry summers! you just made me pee my pants from laughter!!!

  150. @Stacy,..Best of regards concerning you and your mom !

  151. @richardN – ‘gold plated’ are those policies that are THE best in US and that will, therefore, be taxed as such under Obamacare; the fact is, however, she had the option of taking the lesser plans, even an HMO, in which case, her employer would have deducted a whole lot less from her paycheck; I wonder what the treatment would have been like then

@Crumpet @Geek – thanks; you should see the cold-hearted, almost sociopathic letters from her insurance company (the largest in the US), if these sort of letters (and denials) were sent by the NHS, the corporate owned tabloid media (i.e., Murdoch) would be screeching to the sheeple about the evils of socialized medicine; as it is, the insurance companies are so confident the media they own will not cover it that they don’t even mind committing such words to paper and so this issue gets exactly zero coverage in the US, other than by someone like Michael Moore having to raise the funds to make a documentary, but then Murdoch then screeches the population into a frenzy about the evils of socialist Moore

  152. I must admit, when the satellite link window appeared of this week’s guest, i went – “WHAT! How did they get Larry Summers on!!?|” – hahahaha!!! Sorry Barry.

  153. @Stacy,

I’m very sorry to hear about your mom. Be strong.

  154. richard@lattitude30N

@Sherbert: so sorry to read about your reason for being in NY/Conn. regards to you and your Mom and what is a “gold plated policy”?

  155. Illinois Brandon

    @stacyherbert,
Sorry to hear about your mother mine passed away in 2006. Do you remember Senator Ribicoff? He compared the cops in my hometown to the gestapo for their tactics in 1968.

  156. Sorry to hear that Stacy

  157. Crumpet Muncher

Sorry to hear about your Mom.

  158. Hope y’all like it as I will probably have to do some more from there real soon; my mom’s very ill. Just so you understand when I’m not here that often lately! Oh the joys of American health insurance death panels (and she has what is considered a ‘gold plated’ policy).

  159. Mike/Liverpool

    Right!
Finished digging the fox hole in the back garden, got my Flak jacket ready, just written “Born to kill…the US $ ” on my helmet……..Ok Max
    Am ready.

    Mike

  160. Stacy, Markets! Finance! Pizza!

  161. @ stacy

  163. Crumpet Muncher
