Tea Party Candidate Joe Miller’s Private Security Force Handcuff Reporter

Stacy Summary: A picture tells a thousand words. And not one of those thousand words suggest a party that respects the Constitution (they can’t even get past the First Amendment?) or liberty (at least not for those that challenge their own particular world view). Here is Alaska Dispatch editor, Tom Hopfinger, ‘arrested’ by a private security force for trying to ask Joe Miller a question on public property:

  1. Didn’t we already agree that it doesn’t matter which political party is in ‘power’, not just in the US, but anywhere, that they aren’t the ones in power?

Left, Right, New Age Party. Maybe this sort of news will make it REALLY obvious to the people now. Lets hope so.
Even Peter Schiff chose the Republicans, not because he’s necessarily a Republican, but because he thought this gave him the best chance of getting elected.
The name of the political party is just a name for ‘Get me elected so I can help MY friends instead of his freinds’.

  2. Hmm.. here is a different spin on the same story for ya Stacy

    http://www.salon.com/news/politics/2010_elections/?story=/politics/war_room/2010/09/23/joe_miller_militias

The militias are not pro-neocon corpgov, they are strict constitutionalists – and paranoid. So in this particular case, I rather suspect that the militias are very concerned for the life of their “man”.

So knowing what the question actually was, seems a pretty key question here IMO.

  3. Both socialist parties in the US are disenfranchising their bases. There is an anti-incumbent wave sweeping the country, however, both parties members are owned by the bankers. If some new, never-before-office-holders, get elected…in short order they too will be on the bankers/corporate lobby payroll. The time is becoming ripe for a Third Party takeover, or REVOLUTION!

  4. Several weeks back Max posted a comment on Dennis Kucinich. In the posts from that article several people were commenting in regard to the sell out of Kucinich, one poster said “ask the Kucinich younger siblings about the sell out” I asked that poster what Kucinich’s siblings would say and he did not answer.

Well, I have found out some initial info. Statements (20007) from Dennis that he was going to investigate 911. He took a lot of heat from his own party, that Bitch Pelosi, threatened to cut off funds for his re-election campaign.

Perry Kucinich was found dead in 2009. Dennis was very close to Perry and flew back from Washington when notified by another brother. I don’t know if Dennis was working with his brother on the investigation and I’m trying to get more info. But, there it is folks. A few dots that have other connections…which I’m trying to find out.

Dennis didn’t sell out because of a ride on an airplane with Barry Sotero aka Barack Obama. There’s more to this. When I find out, I’ll post.

  5. joseph cecil smith

Isn’t handcuffing that journalist ILLEGAL? i swear, no due process, those weren’t cops(probably they are off duty cops)… how archaic to handcuff a journalist. i hope he files some kind of lawsuit.

  6. let’s not conflate the actions of a private security team with the supposed policy of a possible Senate candidate, especially when what we know about Joe Miller would lead us to conclude otherwise. i don’t like at all that they cuffed him. but to say, by extension or inference, that Joe Miller has done it isn’t accurate.

by the way, Joe Miller espouses ideas very similar to Max Keiser’s, and is one of only a couple sound money, rule of law candidates. on the issues, i think most of us would jive with Joe Miller.

i’m always one of the first to defend those who are wrongfully detained or arrested. we are in many ways living in a police state that serves the prison industrial complex (with the help of absurd drug laws and 3 strikes laws, etc). i’ve seen police abuse first hand and was myself falsely arrested in Santa Monica, CA, and jailed for 3 nights, for assault with a deadly weapon, when all evidence proved the contrary – all because a traffic cop lied and the other cops wanted to believe him. i was released but the detective told me that they’re going to keep the case open until the statute of limitations runs out. this is a pre-emptive measure to dissuade me from suing them. so i know what’s happening out there.

the whole Tea Party thing doesn’t have much to do with anything except as a label for a lot of angry people who aren’t going to take it anymore. i wish more of us had that attitude.

keep up the fantastic and funny work Max and Stacy!

  7. Timothy Geithner

I am all for the Tea Party.

Free tea for everyone is definitely a policy Timmy G can fully support.

  8. … proof that almost *all* people of USA are most successfully, totally, completely brainwashed and mis-educated peoples in history of the world

  9. Joe Miller’s Private Militia

Sounds like the questions from the past that he doesn’t want to answer are about an attempt on his part to rig and steal an election in Alaska.

  10. left, right, conservative, liberal, … eternal quibbling and squabbling over the crumbs, infighting, divisions, promoted by endless streams of loaded propaganda, distractions, disinformation (lies), re-direction, “entertainments”, from the real perps, who are

meanwhile – continuing unabated, their robbery, pillaging, crimes-against-humanity committing a unified global crime syndicate …

  11. Of course I could hammer the red team on this tactic, which really began in earnest with Sarah Palin and her refusal to face the media for weeks after being nominated for VP. But I’ll reserve those comments so I don’t have to hear again how I’m “caught in the left/right blue/red trap of thinking”–which I’m really not, but I know some commenters here feel cool when they can level such a charge against another.

I think that so long as US politicians from the President on down refuse to face and deal with the real problems we have, and so long as the banks and biggest corporations continue to gain even more power and control over all of us, this is the kind of behavior we can expect from politicians of all stripes going forward–esp. when Corporate America is responsible for putting these candidates before the public in the first place.

Miller isn’t the only one who is refusing to answer questions from the media (Christine O’Donnell is doing the same thing in Delaware–ducking even local reporters after claiming on national TV that she’d only do interviews with local media); he’s just the first to sick private security guards on a reporter for daring to ask a question. That type of behavior doesn’t and will never look bad to Constitution-believing liberty crusaders who’ve already been brainwashed into thinking that all media is evil because all media outside Fox is “liberal” media.

We’re being swamped here with political advertisements sponsored by Corporate America and the Chamber of Commerce thanks to the Citizens United ruling. I’m betting that just as advertisements for products nowadays have nothing to do with the products, the quality of them, or their origins of production, but rather the brand and the brand meanings which have been attached to them, the same will happen for political ads. If tens of millions and more can be spent marketing a politician, outspending their opponents, and penetrating the minds of the public, it becomes much easier to just hide away the candidate, not make them accountable for any past deeds, not make them answer any questions, and shield them from making politically harmful comments that may be captured on video and spread via You Tube or some other medium. And if somehow the marketers can build-in a narrative about the nobility of ignoring the media and refusing to answer questions–which they successfully do on Fox currently just by branding the media “liberal”–then there will always be a segment of the population that is completely behind candidates who are tightly controlled and only offer limited exposure and limited information.

I wonder when the time will come where reporters will be flatly barred from even entering a public space where political events are occurring? Also wonder if perhaps rallies and town halls themselves will become a thing of the past.

  12. @Daruka
    Probably Blackwater cokehead pedophiles.

  13. Literal skinhead neo nazis.

When they talk about skinhead nazis they are in the USA military and even civilians.

  14. “When some guy gets hit in the crotch with a baseball in 2D, it’s one thing, but when he’s kind of up in your face and it happens, it’s another experience,” he said.”

Remember the McCain Lieberman law ?

    ENEMY BELLIGERENT LAW.

And besides that Obeyourmammatalibana, that indonesian Nazi has NOW the right to order the execution, assasination and torture of ANY American slave he desires to get rid of. Dirty scum. USA is now a third world country.

SIg Heil you WASP Nazis !

  17. MilliniumJane

@goldrxman: My thought exactly! And of course, they are “just following orders.” Makes me wonder when the real journalists who have not been bought out are going to start disappearing, like the ones in central america in the ’80′s.

  18. stevesmitty79

With the Tea Party already infiltrated by both the Republicans and covert Democrats, does anyone really think they’ll be any different from the two-headed beast already in Washington? I think this one example may go a long way in telling.

  19. @Stacy,

Maybe I am naive (I don’t mind being accused of that!), but these guy’s faces are visible. Isn’t there a slight chance that filling a complaint against then would yield something? I still haven’t read the full story, so maybe I’m missing something here.

  20. This is simply outrageous!

  21. Democrat red shit. Republican brown shit.
    Left wing Nazis Democrat party.
    Right wing Nazis Republican party.
USA is knee deep in nazification process.

  22. No rule of law
    No constitution
    No freedom of expression
    No freedom of information
    No property rights
    No human rights

Were the security guards hired pedophiles coke snorting Blackwater Republican Democra Nazis ?

  23. Pretty much every single party in the US runs on a platform that is the exact opposite of their intentions: the Tea Party claims to be the party of liberty, so you can pretty sure that they will suspend your liberty; the Democrats claim to be a party of the worker and the poor, so you can pretty sure that, as with Clinton, they will do things like dismantle Glass Steagall, introduce NAFTA and slash welfare; the Republicans claim to be the party of small government, so as with Reagan and Bush, they will oversee the massive expansion of it

  24. ‘The constitution is just a piece of paper.’ George Adolf Hitler Bush.

  25. Are those two guys praying?

    I hope so.

  26. nah, in Russia the question asks you!

  27. Next. They will be shooting journalists in the head. Seig Heil American english speaking Nazis !

  28. Wlecome to USA the land of Neo-Con WASP Nazi.

  29. Maybe he asked to be treated like a normal person?

  30. @Pedro – typical American response, Russia or China or Sudan or North Korea don’t have freedom of speech, so a political party whose very platform is that of ‘liberty’ and defending the Constitution, therefore, is A-okay acting like goons; perhaps the Tea Party should change their slogan to, “Vote for us, we’ll give you more liberty than they get in North Korea”

  31. Yeayh! Blackwater is coming to the USA!!

  32. “Have you ever been a member of the communist party”?

  33. Free speech?. where do yoy think yiu are, in RUSSIA?.

  34. @goldrxman – let’s see if there is any outrage at this by those who would be angry if it were done by the blue team; tune in tomorrow for an outrage update

  35. Stacy, what was the question? :)

  36. They look like Jarheads ( US Marines) in civies!!
