A very troubling issue has come up.
The UK military have issued a D notice to news editors that leaked info from wikileaks should not be published.
This means that the info will go around the blogs. At the same time Nominet which runs .uk domains is letting the police remove ‘illegal’ domains from the net. Today, one of the most respected bloggers on the UK scene http://order-order.com/ has advised bloggers to use hosts outside the UK and not use .uk domain.

I think this may be used as a pretext to close down some political blogs. I am the economy editor of a new site www.newsnetscotland.com and we are very concerned about this.

I agree 100%, this will used as a pretext to shutdown any alternative website who covers this. Didn’t Assange come out and say 9/11 truthers are wrong? What damage have any of his releases caused? Nothing, as of yet.

Prior to about 1950 the USA was able to grow and develop mainly from good economic decisions based on the supply of goods for others to fight WW1 and WW2.
The USA did get involved in those conflicts after the tide had turned and victory was assured. The involvement of the USA certainly speeded up the victory process.
The USA was then in a strong position to influence post war policies to their advantage.
No problem, this made good sense and the American citizen did benefit.
Alas power does corrupt, and the financial model that Max claims is based on Casino principles was born. The new guard got confused, and believed their own propaganda. They made the mistake of thinking that spending on wars is what fuelled the growth. Thus the constant wars based on the flimsiest excuse since. The truth is, being a supplier of materials was the golden goose, that provided the money for growth and prosperity.
Anyway now the USA is broke, and loosing influence and power rapidly. The scary thing is they may not accept their own stupidity and may choose to end the world with their massive stoke pile of weapons.
On a slightly different note: does anyone know the percentage of overseas university trained engineers that are employed in the USA hi tech defence industries.
Eventually this could play into our favor by discrediting mainstream media even further.

Apparently, wikileaks is going to release state dept. cables embarassing to the US.
secretive, fascist governments, meet internet. internet, meet…oh hang on they are running for cover. this will be all fine and dandy depending on what the information actually is. the great thing we can be the judge of whether this info should have been kept secret in the first place, not spin doctors.

We are starting to see small scale tests of the “Internet Cutoff Switch”. I would hope that Wikileaks and other such sites publish that they have sooner rather than later, while they still can.

Since when did the BBC give press conferences and interviews to people who hold and make public, secret US Govt information in real time and going forward and by the book load?
Either they are dead, did it decades ago having been locked up or defected from another enemy country.
The main media and banks want the lid put back on their vastly corrupt ways – they are in terrible fear of a major bank run every where in the world.
And as people have pointed out you would have to be a blind idiot not to realise 9/11 was manufactured. Massive skyscrapers take longer than 5 hours to bring down with highly expert deployment of explosives. If those explosives were put in between the planes hitting and 5 hours you would NOT expect such a perfect job. And anyway why was the third building brought down ?
