  5. Lol, good title: Leaked: US government strategy to prevent leaks

The truth is that secrecy has no place in a just society..

It’s interesting, the banking system not redeeming deposits or notes for gold anymore has not effectively ruled out the possibility of a run by exchanging them for gold outside the system.

  7. ….and Birgitta’s response to US summons it “FUCK YOU”. GO BIRGITTA GO!!

I applaud Iceland for continuing the fight. Not like the US who bends over and constantly takes it. False flag over false flag.

  9. hehehe, go Brigitta go! I’m so jealous of you! When last year I refused to bail myself out of jail and I was a criminal at large for 53 days for a f-king misparked frozen Volkswagen, I thought highly of myself I took my child (and my arrest warrant) to the MET opera. But mine was individualistic action, so I so envy your social stand! Go Brigitta, gorgeous wings!

  10. @ SAO

    SWEET!

I need to move to Iceland! Again Birgitta has proved you don’t fuck with her.

  11. When a despot begins to lose his grip he tries to squeeze ever more tightly and supress the people that resist him… Such is the case of America as the clueless leadership begins to enact ever increasing measures of control over their own people and those of the world. The problem is that America will not go quietly… and will cause a lot of damage to the rest of the world as their empire collapses. First, they will lose financial control and this is already happening. Second, they will have to abandon their multitude of military outposts positioned throughout the world and the danger is large that they will foment wars in order to prolong their positions.

  12. American Journalism sucks!

  14. They should add silver to the mix and might as well start striking their own gold and silver coins denominated in ounces or grams rather than in the defunct unit of ‘dollars’.

  15. Jayme, read the coinage act of 1792. It has never been repealed, only circumvented by the federal Reserve Act and its fiat paper. Gold and Silver are still the only legally recognized form of payment in the US. Section 20

There was even a provision for the death penalty for anyone who messed with the PM content of the coins…

  17. Stats Can no longer publishes money supply statistics:

    http://www40.statcan.gc.ca/l01/cst01/econ07-eng.htm

There was a row between the ruling minority and the statistics bureau last year over the long form census in Canada over which the chief statistician resigned. The changes now appear to have included no longer publishing M1, M2, M3 reports of the previous year.

    Go figure!

  18. Under the legislation that has been drafted, Utah residents could mint their own gold or silver coins, a storehouse would be created to stockpile the precious metal and the Utah Defense Force, an arcane state militia that may be called and armed by the governor, would be responsible for securing the inventories. from http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/home/50949183-76/gold-state-utah-coins.html.csp?page=1#

Ah, private counterfeiting of Utah’s tax money to counter Federal counterfeiting. Counterfeiting to counter counterfeiting! Constitutional? Yes, most likely. Just? That’s questionable at best.

The money problem needs to be solved at the Federal level in any event. Any attempt to make gold or silver legal tender at that level should be vigorously opposed.

  19. It’s in the US consitution. Precious metals are the only money in the Constitution. END THE FED.

  20. @jischinger

    Canadian journalism sucks even further.

  21. Sounds like another Mormon monopoly to me.

  22. “There was even a provision for the death penalty for anyone who messed with the PM content of the coins…” – @8Ball

Thx. Makes perfect sense. I don’t like people messing with my junk as I’m sure no one does. Debasing money through unregulated printing or alloying is counterfeiting.

This document shows that the founders were referring to a ‘dollar’ in terms of real money and not the devalued worth of a paper coupon. Interesting… the director of the treasury’s salary was $2000/year (about 1546.87 troy ounces of silver). Today, the director of the U.S. treasury is said to earn $117667 (perks, like free health care, not included). Based on this scale, the price of silver should be $76.07/oz !! Much higher if perks are included.

“The Act of 1792 established a definition of a dollar. A dollar was defined as a coin containing 371.25 grains of silver and 416 total grains of metal (silver and alloy). The purity ratio was 1445:1664. Thus, a dollar was not a unit of value, but a unit of weight based upon a precious metal commodity.”

  23. You need to review your history, beardo… After the Federal Reserve Act the paper money that was issued was called Gold certificates, redeemable in kind. Then the government confiscated private Gold in 1933 and the Fed transitioned to Silver certificates and Silver coin. All of this still loosely adhered to the coinage act of 1792 that was based on a “Dollar” that was derived from the original Spanish coin of the same name. In the 60′s, Silver was phased out of the coinage and the paper money became “legal tender” with no PM backing. Nixon finally shut the Gold window in 70′s. The transition to pure fiat was complete and the US economy has been headed into the toilet ever since.

Now, 100 years later, MrBeardo imparts his wisdom to the unwashed…
“The money problem needs to be solved at the Federal level in any event. Any attempt to make gold or silver legal tender at that level should be vigorously opposed.”

  24. @Jimmy. the world is staying. were going. those that are left will be strong fuckers.

  25. The transition to pure fiat was complete and the US economy has been headed into the toilet ever since. 8Ball

I was a PM bug long before they were popular, in fact most of my life. Yet, I can apparently learn, thanks be to God.

Now, 100 years later, MrBeardo imparts his wisdom to the unwashed… 8Ball

You’re welcome. And notice I read the Old Testament which declares:

    “Heed instruction and be wise,
    And do not neglect it.
“Blessed is the man who listens to me,
    Watching daily at my gates,
    Waiting at my doorposts.
“For he who finds me finds life
And obtains favor from the LORD.
    Proverbs 8:33-35

Now I must be off to Wal-Mart to stock up for a blizzard of white global warming.

  26. My point, beardo, was that your claim that the same people who caused the mess we now find ourselves in are the ones who are going to fix it… is absurd.

The people who ran the US government back at the beginning of the 20th century were a heck of a lot smarter and had more priciples than the morons that are in the USG today and they still got hoodwinked by the passing fo the Federal Reserve Act…

Quoting the Bible is nice but Jesus isn’t going to come and fix the world economy any time soon… We stew in a broth of our own making.

  27. WOULD YOU TAKE YOUR PHYSICAL SILVER / GOLD TO PAY OFF A F.I.A.T BASED DEBT , IF THIS WENT AHEAD PEOPLE SURELY WOULD BE MAD TO PART WITH COLD HARD CURRENCY AGAINST A NON EXISTENT DIGITAL DEBT , YOU WOULD START THINKING THIS GOLD IS WORTH TEN TIMES THIS FINE SO MAYBE $5000 – $10,000 DOLLAR GOLD IS POSSIBLE AND SIMILAR THOUGHTS SURELY WITH SILVER , ITS LIKE THE BROTHER SAID ON MAX,S VIDEO , I AM NOT PARTING WITH MY GOLD FOR PAPER , ITS REALLY THAT SIMPLE .

  28. FEDERAL FRAUD ACT

  29. @Jimmy. carlin must have sub planted that in my mind. hahaha. it,s true though.

  30. ahhh – I can’t find a good salary number for the director of the U.S. Treasury. It seems there are a lot of directors these days. If “director” is now the secretary then as of January 2009 Treasury secretary Geithner makes an annual salary of $191300 which would put today’s silver equivalent to $123.67/oz.

  31. was that your claim that the same people who caused the mess we now find ourselves in are the ones who are going to fix it… is absurd. 8Ball

Actually they, and I am sad to say that probably includes Ron Paul, need some help in crafting a solution. We on the WEB can help come up with that solution, imo. PMs are absurd too as a money form as is our current system of full legal tender fiat.

The people who ran the US government back at the beginning of the 20th century were a heck of a lot smarter and had more priciples than the morons that are in the USG today and they still got hoodwinked by the passing fo the Federal Reserve Act… 8Ball

Ethical money creation is NOT an easy problem.

Jesus isn’t going to come and fix the world economy any time soon… We stew in a broth of our own making. 8Ball

If I was just waiting around for Jesus then I would not say anything. And if we don’t fix the problem then I figure He will be back soon.
