    downloaded these ages ago!

    Yeah me too Sir Halibut.
All the same it is always good to see these re-posted.
I am sick of the likes of Dean Baker and Paul Krugman. Hudson really sees the comprehensive view. It seems Baker and Krugman believe in false assumptions and fairy-tales, although they have hardened their analyses a bit recently. (likely to maintain just a shred of credibility) William Black and Steve Keen are also very good IMO.

  3. Downloading now. I like this guy.

Listen, and understand. That terminator is out there. It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

  5. #1 That’s a very strong reason why there were great price increases – reinvesting to avoid capital gains

#2 Toxic Waste is of no value to anyone, whether one keeps it on or off the books! Including nucular waste (intended, lol)!

#3 The Government was taken from the people for the privileged few!

  11. The USA has a lot to offer in terms of natural resources, mostly beauty and small scale farming (not oil), which is going to save some Americans (farming that is). Saying that, anyone who is running a small business, farm, should be an S-corp. If you are, you will pay little to no taxes. I would also recommend you learn how to live below the poverty line on purpose, read: http://thearchdruidreport.blogspot.com/2011/06/how-not-to-play-game_500.html or start reading: http://cluborlov.blogspot.com/

I also think as we go forward, governments will be unable to function, and taxes will not be collected. It’s possible.

There are a lot of faulty ideas out there, including capitalism. Which includes infinite growth. Which Max knows is impossible. Max, I have to say Nicole Foss is looking better everyday. I would still buy some gold / silver, but land and being self-sufficient will be the way to go. And learning how to live below the poverty line on purpose. No matter where you are in the world. It will be a good thing for humanity!

Think global, but live local. And don’t fly.

  12. @Rick. yep. forget about the poverty line. people don,t understand life. too bad, it’s fun.

    …miss dan valley’s postings…

I was just thinking; the time spends playing games on farm ville puts the human boddy in a state of hibernation. (Players physically sit in a shelterd place w/o moving a rock in the river! (Hahaha ;) inside joke)
Anyway; hibernation saves a lot of energy, why not do it on the beach?!

  23. Elsoto,

Greek parlimentarians don’t look as if they are safe in their own country anymore. I also saw Sarkozy was grabbed by the neck by a citizen the other day in France. Europe is looking very tense place to be in.

Hi Bruce, may I ask which tool you use the download YT vids ?
    —-
I use the Mozilla Firefox web browser.
    http://www.mozilla.com/

After installation, I install a Firefox add-on from the Mozilla Add-ons site (offering useful free add-ons made for Firefox by third parties):

One useful one I like is called Easy YouTube Video Downloader.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/easy-youtube-video-downl-10137/

You may also be interested in Adblock Plus which blocks annoying ads (I consider it a must-have).
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/

Restart Firefox after installing add-ons. Sometimes you are presented with a few things to configure, but apart from that, add-ons are normally ready to use.

With regards to Easy YouTube Video Downloader, a Download button will now appear under YouTube videos (in the case of YouTube videos embedded on sites like this, click on the YouTube logo to take you directly to the YouTube site to see the Download link). When clicking on the Download button you will get a few options. I nearly always download the 360p MP4 link because MP4 videos are compatible with lots of TVs, phones, and so on. The 360p resolution is fine for my uses (sometimes higher resolutions are offered).

After clicking to download, it’s a good idea to close down the YouTube page from playing the video while you are downloading it.

To avoid having to do this, I use the Flashblock to stop ALL Flash content (including videos and Flash page-layouts) from playing or showing until I click on them:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flashblock/

You may or may not like this; it’s a matter of choice. Add-ons can be installed and uninstalled from within Firefox.

    —–

Another web browser I love is also called Opera, available at http://www.opera.com. In Opera I have installed two add-ons:

    1) Download YouTube videos as MP4
    https://addons.opera.com/addons/extensions/details/download-youtube-videos-as-mp4/1.2/?display=en

    2) YouTube AutoPlay Killer (stops YouTube videos automatically playing)
    https://addons.opera.com/addons/extensions/details/youtube-autoplay-killer/1.4-c/?display=en

There are similar add-ons for Google’s Chrome web browser (and others) but I don’t use them.

    Good luck!
