I just got through watching The Alyona Show Happy Hour on on RT’s YouTube channel. Her segment on vaginas was delightful. Her male guest host seemed low on testosterone and got pretty squeamish about the topic. To her credit, the kind soul Alyona, didn’t humiliate him over it.
I cringe when people’s sexuality gets denigrated. Impugning Christine-Lagarde’s gender here on this site, seems unfortunate. An estimated 43% of the fairer sex in the US suffer from some form of Female Sexual Dysfunction, owing to the war on sex, in no small measure.
The movie rating system has skewed sex in culture, horribly, and porn, as the marginalized outsider, has, as a result, created grotesque caricatures at the far end. Dermal fillers in the face and lips and massive breast augmentations are way-over-the-top. Women disfigure themselves trying to reach that exaggerated stylized look they now think is expected of them. Shaving, yes. Mutilating, no.
It is a situation now so bad that men have gone and made it way worse. The government prude-squad in Australia, in response to those porn exaggerations, unconscionably mandates a narrow perception of what a “normal” female physiology is allowed to look like, when depicted nude in media. IMO, their only effective weapon at this point is to post uninteresting stuff that dilutes attention away from more devastating comments, increasing the attention and work required from the reader.

I have a book called “The Dark Valley” sort of a thick volume about the happenings in the 1930′s, It chronicles the rise of radical politics. It’s clear to me that as this depression deepens we’ll see a lot more extremes of left and right. The elites will continue to attempt to preempt these movements and control them, but they will have a much more difficult time of it.
I don’t think the Tea Party is 100% under their control, although through Beck and Palin, they do influence it.
Beck and Palin to me seem somewhat on the sidelines, making comments, or cheerleading, but not really leading.
I think that shows some problems the elites are having as one or both of these were favored to ‘lead’. I’ve seen pictures from a couple of years ago of Palin with Henry Kissinger…definite attempts at wooing new leadership into the spiders web..

This was part of the basis of my prediction from a couple of weeks ago that the Tea Party would ‘run out the clock’ and get us into default, or whatever.
That and the 270 of the 288 Republicans who had signed pledges from the Tea Party to not raise taxes and/or the debt ceiling under the threat by these groups to un-elect these people. Plus Cantor’s double short position on Treasuries. Since a default does nothing for the bankers, they are fighting it, I concluded we are seeing a great depression style radical group in the Tea Party, born of frustration and not entirely under control. I would think they will be only the first group like this, others will show up with different, even opposing ideologies. It will be very wild and contentious a few years out..

Why Govt deficits are essential in an ageing Population
The main problem today is many economists, politicians and monetary reformers do not appreciate macro economic realities. They are basing their recommendation on micro (individual or company) related beliefs and then making dangerous and destructive assumptions like debt is a problem. It isn’t. In fact it is essential today to reflect two significant changes that is occurring in the West
1 Greater production per head and
2 An aging population
Example
Let’s assume that 60% of the population can produce enough for everyone. The question is how do we provide enough money for the other 40% to pay for these goods and services. This is where Government has a key and growing role (as we become more and more efficient and fewer people can produce all we need).
Govt can either employ people in various roles or pay unemployment benefits. I would just accept that we no longer need to employ everyone and say allow people over a certain age to retire on a much higher (double or triple) unemployment benefit if they wish. Or pay people to educate themselves etc.
The other question is how to pay for this (ie the cost of employing or paying the other 40%). One way would be to just tax the employed 60% to exactly equal tax required over a period. But this creates the second problem. And it is clear that many do not understand this point (like Ron Paul) and yet it MUST be understood. Otherwise incorrect recommendation will be made.
The only way to create non Govt saving is for the Govt to run deficits. The non Govt sector can’t do this as a commercial bank lending always results in an equal debt and credit (asset and liability).
This is a key to understanding why Govt debt and deficits (or money printing) are in fact essential in an ageing population (if people are to save money).
And does Govt debt (from Govt deficits) matter. Not in the slightest. Central bank credit, Govt bonds and commercial bank credit can be and should be created from thin air (by accounting entries) as required. The key is to calculate how much debt is required but at present there clearly is not enough debt (or money printing). So higher Govt deficits are needed.
We (taxpayers and society) all benefit from these deficits for many reasons. We may not agree with how the Govt spends this money but then use democracy to change this.

Never allow government to do any thing that might have unlimited liabilities related to it. You can not see the big picture and are instead applying a rule that does not even work for a business or individual (as sometimes they need to go into debt to buy assets or survive)
But your rule above would be a complete and utter disaster for a country. For the reason that I have explained below. A balanced budget would cause a depression (as happened in the 1930s) and would have to be reversed very quickly but would do untold damage before that happened.

This was part of the basis of my prediction from a couple of weeks ago that the Tea Party would ‘run out the clock’ and get us into default, or whatever.
That and the 270 of the 288 Republicans who had signed pledges from the Tea Party to not raise taxes and/or the debt ceiling under the threat by these groups to un-elect these people. Plus Cantor’s double short position on Treasuries. Since a default does nothing for the bankers, they are fighting it, I concluded we are seeing a great depression style radical group in the Tea Party, born of frustration and not entirely under control. I would think they will be only the first group like this, others will show up with different, even opposing ideologies. It will be very wild and contentious a few years out..
I’ve already worked with Eggdrop bots and Tcl scripts. It’s pretty amazing, not knowing you are interacting with a bot and finally realizing it is not a human being. And creating them to fool people. Government is pushing the envelope like it was a Manhattan Project for new technology to influence people.
Yet I figure we’re still about trying to teach the machine(s) economics.
Peak Oil will probably collapse the West and it’s banking system, but in thre intervening few years, wild political swings of desperation might be seen. Most ideologies will crash and burn as Peak oil trumps everything. I knew of this when I worked at Phillips Petroleum for 17 years prior to my forced retirement by merger in 2002. Every year, the pickins’ got slimmer, and Geologists were under the gun to ‘do better’.
We couldn’t and didn’t, neither did Conoco, so both companies merged to double the apparent reserves of the merged entity and then half the employees of the combined sum were let go… 30,000…

Labels are somewhat meaningless, really. Over time many ideologies will be appearing, some based on only one issue (remember anti-abortion republicans) but these new movements ill be focused on the issue of a collapsed job base.
Some will call themselves left and some will call themselves right, but the point is the desperation, it will be everywhere..

Why Govt deficits are essential in an ageing Population
The main problem today is many economists, politicians and monetary reformers do not appreciate macro economic realities. They are basing their recommendation on micro (individual or company) related beliefs and then making dangerous and destructive assumptions like debt is a problem. It isn’t. In fact it is essential today to reflect two significant changes that is occurring in the West
1 Greater production per head and
2 An aging population
Example
Let’s assume that 60% of the population can produce enough for everyone. The question is how do we provide enough money for the other 40% to pay for these goods and services. This is where Government has a key and growing role (as we become more and more efficient and fewer people can produce all we need).
Govt can either employ people in various roles or pay unemployment benefits. I would just accept that we no longer need to employ everyone and say allow people over a certain age to retire on a much higher (double or triple) unemployment benefit if they wish. Or pay people to educate themselves etc.
The other question is how to pay for this (ie the cost of employing or paying the other 40%). One way would be to just tax the employed 60% to exactly equal tax required over a period. But this creates the second problem. And it is clear that many do not understand this point (like Ron Paul) and yet it MUST be understood. Otherwise incorrect recommendation will be made.
The only way to create non Govt saving is for the Govt to run deficits. The non Govt sector can’t do this as a commercial bank lending always results in an equal debt and credit (asset and liability).
This is a key to understanding why Govt debt and deficits (or money printing) are in fact essential in an ageing population (if people are to save money).
And does Govt debt (from Govt deficits) matter. Not in the slightest. Central bank credit, Govt bonds and commercial bank credit can be and should be created from thin air (by accounting entries) as required. The key is to calculate how much debt is required but at present there clearly is not enough debt (or money printing). So higher Govt deficits are needed.
We (taxpayers and society) all benefit from these deficits for many reasons. We may not agree with how the Govt spends this money but then use democracy to change this.

Yeah, In fact more deficits are needed and we should vote for more deficits cause how this government is handeling the defecit issue is a disgrace for the human race.
Question remains: How efficiently create more deficits? I say let the printing press role twice the speed it’s doing now, expand the war effort, higher the bonusses for all bank employees cause they are our only hope for more deficits. Not many catch this last point in particular. People should be mor understanding and graceful for their tremendous expanding defecit effords.

Your issue seems to be how does the Govt spend money. But an increase in the deficit (or more real money printing) could be achieved by a tax cut especially on the lower income. And higher unemployment payments etc

Never allow government to do any thing that might have unlimited liabilities related to it. You can not see the big picture and are instead applying a rule that does not even work for a business or individual (as sometimes they need to go into debt to buy assets or survive)
But your rule above would be a complete and utter disaster for a country. For the reason that I have explained below. A balanced budget would cause a depression (as happened in the 1930s) and would have to be reversed very quickly but would do untold damage before that happened.
