How quickly every body forgets.
Remember the Vietnam war? What were the police doing when singers and bands played protest rock? They were warning that if the gig went on they would be making arrests.
And they did more than that. The police put protest individuals and groups under surveillance, and beat the crap out of some of them when they went ahead and protested. Thespians who are not obedient to the regime in power have always been persecuted.
I think that the witch trials were tragic, however, there is power in magic, and a person truly hexed, is owed some cosmic recourse.
I think that this is some black magic… …but who deserves it more?
Can painting the future cause it to happen?
Is it an artistic reflection of the common sentiment, and therefore to be encouraged?
May the artist’s heart be in service of the Great Architect’s design.
Om
Anyone for a Chase “love in”? They might serve us coffee and cookies if we love them good enough. hee hee hee hee hee..
This is no different from writing a novel or short story about a terrorist act, or writing about an arsonist, and having Homeland Security show up and ask if you are a terrorist or arsonist. It squelches free speech and expression if you think Big Brother is going to put you on a list for writing or painting something controversial or unusual.
Alex, you did a nice job with it. Is it finished?
HEY STACY … HEY MAX
What about doing a story on the guy hazare in India who with his hunger strike and wide spread mass protests has forced Indian politicians to draw up anti-corruption laws that monitor even the prime minister … sounds like what we need in the US (except that it’s hard to imagine that any one of the 150 million plus over-weight, obese and morbidly obese US citizens might actually go on a hunger strike).
WHY HAVEN’T YOU DONE ANY REPORTING ON THIS!!!! It’s more constructive than showing burning Chase banks.
Here’s a link to get you started:

or will that make me an eco-terrorist?
i better refer to the ’06 military commision act…
well, it turns out you are a terrorist no matter what you do, so i guess i’ll see you in the gitmo school of art
thanks for the idea alex!
think i’ll paint a picture of the IMF underwater!
Now just imagine a painting of the FED in flames ?
Lol American policemen should concentrate on arresting Jamie Demon and Lloyd Blankfien instead.
You should suggest to this fantastic artist a painting of Goldman Sachs go up in flames.
But the real best seller at Christie and Sotherby ‘s would be the FED going up in smoke.
Thanks everyone! Max Keiser is the MAN!! check out more of my artwork at alexanderschaefer.blogspot.com … I’ll keep painting the banks on fire but remember, like Magritte said, “Ceci n’est pas un feu” ahahahahah!
think i’ll call the police and tell them i’m threatened by chase’s banking practices,
im sure the detectives will be asking the banksters if they hate their depositors.
What is really sinister is the trick question, a feeble minded person or alternatively a rebellious person might say “Yes” to an authority figure asking, “are you a terrorist” – even though it is a deliberately ridiculous question.
“Yes”, is the answer they are looking for so they lock someone up and scare them plus associates witless with the random nature of their “terror”.
Just like the French Revolution or the Inquisition – bastards!
Oh, I feel so threatened by the painting!
It’s a pretty sad day when the corporate elite have stolen so much from so many that they fear our reprisals so much.
Come on people, you really believe it was wrong of the police to ask some questions. Shit I would have asked the same question and if he said yes I am going to burn this mother down, I would just walk away and let him get to his business. It is a natural question and has nothing to do with violating his civil liberties.
the roof is on fire, we don’t need water, let the motherfucker burn

OMG! That terrorist man scared me with his threatening painting. Waahhh!
Arrest him! How dare he burst my bubble of apathy and ingorance. How dare he exercise free speech! That’s un-American.
Paint a “wrong” picture and the Staatssicherheit comes around!
Sounds like “good old” East Germany… o_O
I think this reflects more on the donut that called in the police as they felt threatened by some guy painting a picture of a bank. Were they concerned he may add a few pounds to their body, that perhaps he didn’t catch their good side? How the hell can you feel threatened by a painting? Not wanting to sound like a “US-phile” rant but this does sound very “american”, where the feelings of an individual are perceived to surpass the rights of another individual and I’ve seen this sentiment migrate east to the UK. This kind of bullshit can easily (as I am sure is the case with this story) be blown out of all proportion to persecute a person for their views. The police in the article are portayed as just doing their job, no matter how silly the incident, they didn’t taze him, they didn’t arrest him they just wasted their time and his.
