btw. I predict helium will be the single best investment if you hold it until 2050. 1 bottle will be worth more than silver in its weight.

As detestable as the Wall Street bankers are, they haven’t butchered over 100 million people as did communists in the 20th century.
———
No, they’ve done far more than that. 100 million is laughable. From wars to famine to foreclosure to poisons to bad health…
aint great to be able to call people ‘commies’ again!
Yeehah bitchez!

I didn’t know you smoked Gaulois, comrade.
ha ha ha ha ha. how dare people still be unrepentant Stalinists. Tsk tsk. 100m people hey? Was it Goebbels who said if you are going to tell a lie, tell a big one because the mass is dull? this guy’s a chump
Oh here we go again. Sick of these myopic fixations on evil communism. Stacy hit the nail on the head the other week when she spoke about the battle being centralism vs decentralism. Communism, and capitalism; collectivism and individualism can both thrive side by side in a decentralized enviroment.
Max, while I appreciate your hutzpah for posting this contrarian view, why pray-tell would you give him the acknowledgement and resultant publicity. It is obvious that he deserves neither.
As detestable as the Wall Street bankers are, they haven’t butchered over 100 million people as did communists in the 20th century. Dr Thorne from http://financialsurvivalradio.com/keiser-sounds-like-hes-been-huffing-helium/
Read some history, fellow. The (fascist) banking system caused the Great Depression as even Ben Bernanke admits. And the Great Depression was a MAJOR cause of WWII which killed 50-86 million people.
As for Communism, it is a reaction to fascism. No fascism = no Communism.
If max keiser downy do it for you. Mike Maloney will (see you tube “mike Maloney debt collapse”)
Wow, there’s actually people who enjoying being a slave to the bankers… wonder if he wears latex when he meets his masters.
i left this comment on financial survivor radio:
“thorne is a moron.
Max (and Stacy) are ONE OF THE FEW that actually stick their necks out for truth.
they are trying to help families not hurt them.
only deluded navel-gazing ass-hats do not listen to Max and Stacy.
i look forward to their views EVERYDAY and doing so as helped my family tremendously.
not only are they ridiculously hilarious but they are refreshingly truthful.
no one is perfect but thorne is a perfect twonk”
wanted to rip the dude a new one but why bother.
he will be too busy “holding his nose” cause he will be crapping his pants when reality knocks him upside the head.
fuck these soul-less reptilian vampires.
truth ALWAYS comes out no matter how long one has to wait.
Max and Stacy are the shit and should have a baby…and i am a ZPG-er!
And here I thought Wall Street funded Stalin and the Bolsheviks.

Don’t get it, is this a joke or real? either way its funny.I might steal the expression ‘Huffing Helium’
WWI + WWII + US Civil War Banksters wars and there were no Commies in 1861.
The white star vs the red star identical except for the colour
The “Free” West vs the “Evil” Communist Soviets or
Soviet Communist “Nirvana” vs the “Corrupt” Capitalist West
Two teams created for your control and subjugation the other team is to be feared more than your own leadership who will save you from “them” the other team providing you pledge your labour and loyalty. Meanwhile the banksters clean up.
The name of the ism makes little difference if power and wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few corrupt megalomaniacs.
The more centralised and larger the state apparatus the more less representative the government tends to be less efficient and competitive it gets and the worse it is to live in. The EU being one such example and the concept of one world government being the ultimate folly.
Old doc Thorne has it exactly backwards. Max doesn’t have a dream in the sense of wanting to see the USA go down the tubes – he’s warning that this is in fact what’s happening, how it’s happening and who’s doing it – largely the out of control crooks on wall street. You get a set-up where the banks owe more money than there is in the world (thanks to derivatives) and we obviously have a major problem and a need to do a major fix. Max is right on!
Max and Stacy have a clear view of the world and how it works – and they aren’t shy. We need more folks with their clarity and honesty.
what a gawky, narrow minded, system indoctrinated, one dimensional, unable to think out of the box phrasemonger and sqirt!
Thorne needs sympathy and lots of therapy.
Is he part of an older generation that was brainwashed into believing the Ruskie commies were imminently coming to destroy the American way of life, little knowing he was just being made to feel paranoid to keep him under control? The same generation that was the victim of propogandist extraordinaire Bernays’ crowd psychology ideology, which coined the term ‘public relations’, invented marketing and created the consumer society to guarantee the future industrial prosperity of the USA in perpetuity? (Buy this car and it means such and such about you)
Bernays, nephew of Sigmund Freud, used his uncle’s ideas to manipulate American public opinion by influencing the unconscious on the basis that a democratic society is irrational because of its ‘herd’ mentality and likely to make the wrong choices, thus requiring ‘guidance’ from those who know best. Bernays was an evil, arrogant bastard, and his legacy lives on. The irony is that the Ruskies applied precisely the same techniques in the USSR to achieve their own version of the controlled and guided society.
Thorne is the kind of voter that unquestioningly participates in and perpetuates an inauthentic democracy, failing to recognise and understand that he’s being manipulated and, ultimately, screwed. He’s given a limited choice of establishment approved parties and candidates to vote for and believes in the bullshit. Anything that indicates dissent threatens everything the dumb fuck trusts and believes in. He’s a very frightened little man behind his words. Poor fucker.
Yeah the Fascists didn’t kill or torture anyone so it’s all good

Max and Stacy, definitely point 1 up when you air the thoughts of your critics.
I don’t think the fact that things are getting worse is ALL your fault.
@ Angelo
…
btw., do you think you could somehow crack your Coke-habbit, for the sake of econimic, Karmabanquish, global restorage of market making freedom ???
was that you, who said it a few weeks ago ? … ( I might be totally wrong and mix you up with someone else .. sorry! …)
I think it was “SilverCondom” who said it today, somewhere in this blog-jungle, that he simply didn´t consume Coke for 10 years and thus is helping the cause by simply not participating.

I agree and rise this up to 30 years!!! … just not consuming it or giving in to that crap!
used to love a “Cuba libre” in my twenties … but quit for many reasons decades ago…
OTOH I simply was never addicted to it, so it was easy for me
just saying… asking you …
Love V.
PS: also, OT here, picking up on the “trish – troll stuff” I read on some other thread….

@ trish
NEVER considered you a troll (?) … do undertand you concerns and questions completely … often as well would have liked to have some of my questions answered by M+S … but it certainly is never something you should expect and thus take personally!
and even when there was one of my comments was “being taken care of” by Stacy, she just shut me up as diplomatically as possible (it was an AGW-thing long ago…), but at least straight and passionate! Thats ok with me …. as its their website, their agenda, and their good will to answer to whatever?, whatever they think is helpful to bring about their cause! Not that we always could match this in our thoughts and comments and thus even expect an answer.
Stacy at least is communicating here much more often than Max … but consider their immense busy-ness !!!
So, thats fu++@@ing ok with me!
After all, we are really offered some great stuff and insight here + fun moments! and got to make up our own minds anyways … besides there are some really cool commentators around here.
So speak your mind, ask you questions (sometimes controversial stuff is so important for this and any blog!), I don`t think Stacy really considers you a troll, or maybe just had a bad hair day!
Me and many others like and understand your “interjections” …. you explained it all anyways ….
Take the heat when it should occur and stay strong !!!
Love V.
Sounds like someone needs to be topped!
USSA here we come comrade brothers!
Max is not the one who looks bloated from helium huffing. Sail away….
The original Keiser interview linked to that article is the gem…
http://financialsurvivalradio.com/?powerpress_pinw=1521-podcast
It is quite good and informative in that Max expresses the deeper philosophy behind much of his daily obiter dicta. For example, the Bastiat reference adds clarity and meaning to his slams on Cameron’s reaction to London looting ["as above, so below"]. This clarity is often lacking when Max hosts an interview. In those moments Max flirts with seeming like Bill O’Reilly, using a guest as soundboard for his own grandstanding. Some of that went on in the Steve Woolfe interview [KR192]. Max got bored with Steve, and it made for a hollow interview. Max was a bit like that with Ben Davies, but Davies was so rich with his own perspective and information that the interview ended far from hollow.
Steve Wolfe was quite grateful to be on with Max. Max made him squirm a bit. I chuckle when I remember Max being quite grateful to have Eric Sprott on his show and then seeing Eric make Max squirm a bit toward the end.
All Max had to do to make Wolfe interesting was to pretend he was interviewing Niall Ferguson.
Jay Carter guided an excellent interview of Max. Carter’s audience already knows what Carter thinks. Carter handed Max a canvas and brushes, let him paint. A sequel interview might very well allow Carter to critique and argue content, but even if they’d made it to that point in this interview, the image must be painted first. Alex Jones does this well. Scott Horton and Eric King are masters. Peter Schiff (when he’s patient) also does this surprisingly well (sometimes Peter jumps to criticizing brush strokes while the guest is still painting), but Peter often loses his guests when he so blatanly and ruthlessly switches to, “Okay, I’m going to criticize your painting now!”
I digress. Don’t get me wrong. Max, as host, does pump out some killer, intensely excellent interviews!
@ Simon
…
guess so …

@ John Robb

thanks for your insight! very interesting
I immmeditely, totally disliked that UKIP-Wolfe-guy and just wondered, IF Ukip at all, why not Nigel, the Man himself ????
if you think of UKIP in european terms, you want NIGEL to be grilled, not that (off the record: somehow ridiculuously tanned, masterly body-shaped, “city”like Hugo Boss-dressed shill ?????)
why would Max not try to make Nigel Farage look pale ???
Don´t get it …. ?
my spontaneous reaction was: this guy looks absolutely ridiculous
why deal with some handlers, if you can face the real thing?
would have been extremely nice to see Nigel respond to Max´s stuff ….
@Vonda Bra
This is fascinating. I watched the Wolfe interview again and came back here to make a retraction. Max actually was perfectly gracious and interested/interesting for the most part. He was not bored and the interview was not that boring. I too, was certainly on Pluto when comparing Max to Bill O’Reilly [regarding the Wolfe interview *winks*]. However, I’m glad to have previously spewed my impulsive comment as it seemed to have somehow inspired yours.
I too would love to see Max chat with Nigel. I imagine they’d cover their [vast] common ground quickly and then spend most of the discussion revealing the subtlety of Max’s yet undisclosed [or yet undeveloped] philosophy. Max is a gifted critic of policy, but I think Nigel would force him to express more deeply his own vision. Max is an idealist, and idealists are eventually either shown to be hollow or in some cases actually pioneering something fresh, however nebulous it may seem at any given moment.
Max get’s fuzzy in articulating a part of his vision that seems to wallow between concepts of libertarian decentralization and nazi-like centralization/regulation. Funny(ironic) that I mentioned ‘nazi-like’. France suits Max. Much freedom of expression there, but if you speak holocaust revisionism there you might end up in jail.
The dialogue I’d particularly like to hear is one between Max and Daniel Hannan. I was reminded of this as Max, in the Carter interview, after declaring traditional political involvement pointless, espoused notions of advancing direct democracy. I imagine Max to lump Hannan in with the bulk of the Ukippers or maybe even the Cameron crowd, but I think Max would be surprised upon a deeper investigation.
Direct democracy is perfectly natural for a decentralized state, but within a centralized state is scares the hell out of me. I’m not a fan of mob rule, with or without an immense machine of elite propaganda tweaking public opinion.

Workers Of The World Unite!
An old slogan with a renewed purpose.

what? more info please gman …
what is it all about, your claiming … based on what ?
it is simple. In ancietn sparta, the defected, retarded and abnormal babies were thrown off a cliff….. in the modern age, we should do this for adults for such people….
I fear what will happen in a america if a mob of the wise (people who fight wall street and its foundations) meet in the streets with a mob of uneducated stubborn minded racists like the guys that support such articles.
@Vonda Bra
Another adage, “safety in numbers” applies when ordinary people go up against exploitive establishments. Finally something got a few Americans off the couch and onto the streets. One can only hope that a momentum builds and greater numbers force systematic changes. In one incarnation I was on a picket line for 3 months trying to unionize a Radio Station in a major market. Support from other workers was uplifting to continue while seeing many give up and quit. “Pray for the dead and fight like hell for the living”.

Max is good for the chuckles and breaking out of the conventional thinktrap. Yeah, he’s an irreverent SOB but he’s not a politician. You can start running when he starts sounding neoconfused or like a big brother apologist.
My own two comments [previously posted above in this post] give the impression that I care what the details of Max’s post-revolutionary vision may be. That’s just a small curio on my part, but I’m not that interested. His vision of ridding the planet of large, corrupt things is plenty for me. I’ve never been one to fear nebulous aftermath. I have my preferences though. RISE UP! Burn it down! Then go back home.
The French revolutionaries had it half right. Imagine if after chopping off all those heads, somebody in the mob just said, “Well, looks like we’re done here, better get back home to the wife and kids before they plot to take my head.” …everyone heard, thought for a moment, and they all frantically scurried off…
I’m diggin’ the GIABO thang. I must admit though, to getting a bit nervous when I hear, “But what are their demands?” I have a seething distaste for, “We want a bigger piece of the pie!” I’m not a big fan of, “We want to take control of the pie.” I have undying respect for, “We want to eradicate all concepts of the pie!”
Don’t beg to them. Don’t replace them. Just remove them.
I wonder how many votes this Johnson ad threw to his opponent…

As Mises said: “In the long run even the most despotic governments with all their brutality and cruelty are no match for ideas. Eventually the ideology that has won the support of the majority will prevail and cut the ground from under the tyrant’s feet. Then the oppressed many will rise in rebellion and overthrow their masters.”
