    Good luck in educating the Irish. I read the comments of that article and it’s clear a minority get it but most continue on in some weird la-la land. I find it incredible that people who have been totally screwed over in a planned takedown where private speculative losses representing the bets of large corporations have been unloaded on the people and the people casually accept that it “was only greed” that caused it.

    It’s a great shame because I know quite a lot of Irish people who are really smart and well educated. I hope there’s enough of these to at least wake up a decent percentage because there’s clearly a lot who are “too stupid to succeed”.

    @Danny, went to see Max last night, great gig, and yes people are starting to get it, it may take another 5yrs, and countless more billions, but I feel that the worm may have finally turned.

    Read the interview with MAX where he said
    “The future of the global economy is a return to the gold standard. All of the banks, once they exhaust the markets’ capacity to absorb their fake money and this nightmarish, academically supported theoretical quagmire of nothing, we’re going to go back to the gold standard.”
    I agree with this but on one point, are you sure we are going to go back to the gold standard? I have my doubts, the elite are moving things along at a pretty good pace and this collapes of the currences is all planned to bring in there NWO and I believe it they will switch to something like a cashless society (for those of us that are left) these elite want total control, Gold and Silver will become worthless, thats what the bible states, with that said I’m still buying Gold and Silver just incase.

    There’s a huge crack running through society, of not just Ireland, but also Europe and America and its continually ever the widening. The division between the elites and ordinary people has come to a tipping point. Its like we have two different Europes or two different Americas…99% of the population of each continent pay the elite 1% their hard earn wealth through austerity measures, or as I like to call it, “Immediate wealth confiscation by government/corporate elites to pay off eachothers “so called” digital debt.” This whole manufactured crisis has nothing to do with different countries, language, currency or debt. Its evidently much more to do with the global elite trying to grab the biggest ever prize in human history…total world domination!

    Wake up now… or forever sleep.

    Addax buys Shell’s stake in Pecten

    Royal Dutch Shell PLC has sold its 80-percent stake in Pecten Cameroon Co to the Chinese-owned Addax Petroleum Corp, the Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Corp(SIPC) said Thursday.
    The deal was completed on Oct 31, the SIPC said.
    Addax Petroleum, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the SIPC, paid $538 million for Shell’s 80-percent stake, according to an agreement signed by the companies in May.
    The SIPC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Sinopec Group. The deal marks the first time for the Sinopec Group to gain access to Cameroon’s oil and gas reserves, the SIPC said. – Xinhua

    Saw Max in Kilkenomics last night and he was on great form. (That’s a serious suit/trainers combo Max!)

    Looking forward to more of the same tonight. There’s great craic in Kilkenny. I’d highly recommend Kilkenomics to everyone. My sister, who’s down here with us and up to yesterday had no interest in any of this stuff, now LOVES Max and is determined to get a photo with him. You’ve been warned Max. Maybe, your spell with the women folk of Ireland will have a multiplier effect and we’ll get a surge in popular activitism?

    Danny Cunningham – One of the points that was raised, which struck a cord with me was by that Argentinian ex Finance Minister chap who explained that national currencies allow us to express our national character.

    The Germans are trying to turn the Greeks into Germans, which obviously won’t work. Concurrently, the Irish are not Greeks. We tend to internalize everything, which leads to great art but empty streets. If you’re waiting for the Irish to beat up the Guards in the street, you’ll be waiting a while but I reckon we’ll get a couple of good plays, novels and festivals out of it. That’ll be our contribution.

    We’ll sit in the background strumming the fiddle and writing limericks, thanks. The Greeks can beat the shite out of everything that moves and burn down the city.

    @JD,
    a lot of the young people go looking around the English speaking world for work in times like this too (or are exported by the British).
    And besides, save the fighting for inside the pub where it’s warmer.

  12. Got Silver?

    On Capital Account the Word of the day is: Capital The root of that (latin) is capitalis -of the head, also capit- stem of caput head. So:
    “Capital Solution’ would be: Off With Their Heads!!

    Met you outside the Grand Social an hour from scheduled appearance on the way in. Had to rush back pick up the car from the parking lot at 11:30 and missed the whole thing.

    The Geek abides…

    Wish you both well on your visit here. Neil Delemare’s joke last night about Pepsi sponsoring Kilkenomics (after Max had explained Karmabanque and boycotting Coke) was absolutely priceless.

    Wish I could stay for all the shows….but I couldn’t – alas. Good ‘luuuuck!

    @snoop:

    The comment section in that article shows a masive wakening up of Paddy six pack actualy.
    OMG! I’m surrounded by mediocracy.

  16. Got Silver?

    Every body keeps saying the rich will suceed. Just get between them and their grocery store. Get between them and their gas station. Why do people take their fairy-dust money and kiss their belligerent bums? Demand silver.
    Interesting: The British brought Opium into China in order to fight back that China demanded Silver payment only for spices etc.
    When will you start demanding payments in Silver?

    Re: “national currencies allow us to express our national character. ”

    Johnny Argentina (even the boys fell in love with him) was so right in my opinion too – what a great speaker he was. Totally agree with you in what he said. Myself, who asked the question of peak oil —- “Is the global economy being looted because Wall St. knows peak oil is a reality?” ( should have expanded the question that the modern day buzz word of “GROWTH” relies on growing oil production – but we are currently on an offset of a 9% annual production decline; the current monetary system requires infinite growth, which is impossible on a planet with finite resources!) – granted…a huge question…..but a bit disappointed with the answer given – sorry Max. I know you’d have a better answer if we had the time to have a chin wag, but when I mentioned Gregor McDonald and Mike Ruppert in my question – i did hear gasps of delight behind me….

    Again – all the best here in Ireland – and jaysus…….THANKS!

    Powerful people may hate each other’s guts, but they are always extremely polite to one another, for a very good reason! …..FEAR!
    When a powerful person hears bad language and spiteful invective, the powerful person instinctively knows that the rude person is powerless! This truth has never altered, it was just as true in Ancient Sumeria as it is today!
