    In my opinion, Bradley Manning should have been on the cover of Time for person of the year. Lets not forget that the guy in Tunisia that caught himself on fire (which started the entire Tunisian revolutions and in turn helped to spark the Egyptian revolution) did so after reading Wikileaks information about the corruption that his governement was involved in.

    I’m not saying the revolutions were because of Wikileaks or Mr. Manning, but I feel it was the straw that broke the camels back. And without those leaks, I’m not sure the revolutions would have taken place as soon as they did.

According to Sky, EU officials are only requiring nine states out of concern that some nations would be unable to speedily ratify the document due their own particular constitutional and legal issues. The new treaty, aimed at shoring up confidence in the euro and the capital markets, calls for tighter fiscal controls among member states in response to the ongoing European sovereign debt crisis.

    Yes this soup thing is real. I cranked up my Crock Pot And made a thick winter soup from chicken and garden veggies. It was eaten by loads of people who said can I make more.

    I can but to make a real chicken and veggie soup I need to start with a whole chicken including the liver and all the veggies. One crock pot is only 4 litres and the Jewish grandmothers who did this must have made at least 20 litres at a time.

    It;s kind of tough to explain to Dutch people why I want to use “Parel grot`’ which is pearl barley in english in my soup. They stopped using it a hundred years ago apart from in something called “Karnemelk”.

    @Wolfer, You are right but I’m bored of trying to explain this in whole-food shops in Sluis.
    I also don’t want to pay nearly €3,00 a kilo for it. Of course it is peeled barley. They use it for animal feed but it is food grade for people.

    I’ve spoken to a local producer and I can get parel grot but they trade it by the sack load. It absorbs moisture and I don’t yet know how to store it.

    The trouble with the whole GIABO thing is that this isn’t just about ‘banksters’. Yeah, maybe you think the whole globalisation thing tailed off because it lacked clear objectives, but you tell me what the clear objectives of GIABO are other than to ‘reform’ the financial sector for fuck’s sake.     @Wolfer, Yes I like those plastic tubs and I use them for stuff. but I have to find out if the moisture content is low enough to be able to use them. If the peeled barley is below 10% moisture it’s fine. The problem is that I’m asking millers to supply me with something that used differently in animal feed. The stuff in the health food shops is great but it about 5 times more expensive. I’m picking up bread grain later today and I will ask again.

    Pearl barley/parel grot/peeled barley is a basic nutrition staple of all soups and stews. If you can make large amounts of nutritional soup whatever happens your neighbours will not storm your hoard in a food crisis. It also can be used to make baby formula which is way superior to the crap in the shops. (The baby formula recipe comes from ancient Sparta where it was used to rear males with warfare strength).

    The food controlling elite have phased it out over a century. It’s still there because healthy livestock is profitable but healthy humans with independence makes then nervous. That’s why is mainly used today in animal feed.
