    @Microhousehold, Yet another manufactured crisis to goose the oil price. The IMF ordered Nigeria to end subsidies for refined products. Predictably, this prompted a strike. So whose behind this effort to prop up energy prices to cripple western economies? The Banksters as usual.

    Banks are insolvent, governments are insolvent. The fastest way to rape a developed economy is through pushing energy costs up.

    The oil crash of 1986? Did you notice any disruption to the supply of refined products? No. It all went along as usual. The people that got burned were the speculators who had goosed the price. The S&L scandal was yet another scam which had more to do with fraud and embezzlement by banksters.

    The loss of jobs in the oil industry was due to speculators and banking fraudsters jerking the price about. It you take away the manipulation the oil industry would never have such sudden dislocations.

    @snoop diddy, a short story if I may-to help us temporary detract from the war mongering shenanigans of the PTB;

    On the large island of Madagascar there once was a giant prehistoric type ‘elephant’ bird that roamed this fair place. Now although settled more than 1000 yrs ago and called the Malagasy people, Western sailers starting arriving circa 1600, these sailers new to the island perhaps didn’t know some of the fauna etiquette. Namely that the biggest bird in the world would hang around in the lower branches of trees and when the fancy took, it would drop down onto passing sailers, instantly killing them with its massive 400 kg weight and proceed to eat them!
    Something to remember is that on the very next island of Mauritius the poor Dodo was getting it’s brains smashed to smithereens (into extinction) by the very same early explorers. Is this Nature’s poetic justice in action?
    Sadly the yin yang action didn’t last long and by 1750 most if not all of the great birds were extinct (hastened by the use of the 1 foot long egg used as a water carrier, loss of habitat and food stuff of course). There exists only one fully intact skeleton and it’s displayed in the capital’s museum in Tana.

    Many islands that long ago separated from the mainland underwent extreme size changes and not all were giants, 1 metre tall people some amusingly call hobbits existed on Flores in Indonesia(only about 12,000 yrs ago) until a volcano wiped them all out. Their skeletons were only discovered in 1996 in caves on the island (which still has some of the shortest indigenous people I have ever personally met btw but they ain’t quite hobbit size nowadays lol)

    amazing, thanks for the story, I had never heard of elephant birds before. Interesting to see that Marco Polo mentioned a species of them in the east also. I did read an account of the writings of Marco Polo and history of the time but not his actual work so I missed it somehow.

    Fascinating about the Homo floriensensis hobbit people. I wonder how they would have coped with Homo sapiens?

    On Thursday’s show, independent researcher Pat Chouinard presented information and theories about an ancient race of giants, as well as lost civilizations and their artifacts. There are numerous cross-cultural references to giants, as well as creation myths that involved them. “I think they were a highly advanced race,” and they were said to have a lifespan of hundreds of years, he noted. There was a spike in infant mortality rates within the first 10 weeks of the catastrophe in cities across the US, and the radiation contamination likely came through rainfall, he said, adding that infants were particularly susceptible because of their reduced thyroid function.     I’d really enjoy a show where Max tied in North American free trade and the financial situation.

    I think that the Rich Folks recognized the “Generational Storm” on the horizon as far back as 1980. Rich Folks knew that 75 million Americans would be signing up for all the promises made to the Working Class since the end of WWII. Free Trade allowed the Rich Folks to move their wealth and manufacturing assets offshore as they abandoned the North American Continent. As plants closed and pension funds disappeared, there were no assets which could be seized in North America.

    Britain did the same thing in 1870 as they embraced Free Trade and which allowed the Rich Folks to abandon Britain and move their wealth into North America.

    FBI: Sells the drugs in the U.S. streets
    NSA: Recieves and launders the drug money in the U.S.
    DEA: Makes sure that no other gangs smuggle drugs into the U.S. and so does Homeland Security/TSA.
