We discuss corruption with a clean face and Jamie “Spaghetti Face” Dimon. In the second half of the show, Max talks to investment adviser and blogger Michael Krieger about Ron Paul, the Fed and political futures.
Great guest guys, nice to put a face to the many guises of Monsieur Durden. I suppose these futures markets are unlike life insurance regarding suspicious deaths and null payouts, wouldn’t want to be in somebody’s shoes when there are billions of dollars at stake(d), like you inferred, Max, grassy knolls may be on the up..

“ Your honor, for many years up until my arrest on December 11, 2008, I operated a Ponzi scheme… I am actually grateful for this opportunity to publicly speak about my crimes… I engaged in my fraud, I knew what I was doing was wrong, indeed criminal. When I began the Ponzi scheme I believed it would end shortly and I would be able to extricate myself and my clients from the scheme. However, this proved difficult, and ultimately impossible, and as the years went by I realized that my arrest and this day would inevitably come.
…The essence of my scheme was that I represented to clients and prospective clients who wished to open investment advisory and individual trading accounts with me that I would invest their money in shares of common stock, options and other securities or large well-known corporations, and upon request, would return to them their profits and principal. Those representations were false for many years. Up until I was arrested on December 11, 2008, I never invested those funds in the securities, as I had promised. Instead, those funds were deposited in a bank account at Chase Manhattan Bank.”
Michael Krieger rapped it all up…

Michael Krieger says that he likes the Jack Lew appointment.
I also have been thinking along the same lines. If these criminal want a highly centralised Banking system, it may be in our interests to allow them to acquire it, the more centralised the better.
Having the focus of power at such a tiny point would make it easier to dismantle. He also raises the other point, what I call the anti-new world orderist. The people who want to maintain the status quo.
By laying one of these groups the banka dons, off against the anti NWOists, we can take them both down with a single stone, as the banksta’s will steal everything from the
anti-NWO mortgage serf class.
What I woud like to see is that the US dollar become worthless because no one will use it for anything. If these banksta’s spend so much time accumulating USD and then it is made worthless because it is simply not used, we WIN.

Washington –
The Pentagon has quietly shifted combat troops and warships to the Middle East after the top American commander in the region warned that he needed additional forces to deal with Iran and other potential threats, U.S. officials said.
Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis, who heads U.S. Central Command, won White House approval for the deployments late last year after talks with the government in Baghdad broke down over keeping U.S. troops in Iraq, but the extent of the Pentagon moves is only now becoming clear.
Officials said the deployments are not meant to suggest a buildup to war, but rather are intended as a quick-reaction and contingency force in case a military crisis erupts in the standoff with Tehran over its suspected nuclear weapons program.
The Pentagon has stationed nearly 15,000 troops in Kuwait, adding to a small contingent already there. The new units include two Army infantry brigades and a helicopter unit – a substantial increase in combat power after nearly a decade in which Kuwait chiefly served as a staging area for supplies and personnel heading to Iraq.
The Pentagon also has decided to keep two aircraft carriers and their strike groups in the region.
Earlier this week, the American carrier Carl Vinson joined the carrier Stennis in the Arabian Sea, giving commanders major naval and air assets in case Iran carries out its recent threats to close the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic chokepoint in the Persian Gulf, where one-fifth of the world’s oil shipments passes.

The country that wins the right to run pipelines into this region wins the Great Game.
Turkmenistan has already signed their gas over to China exclusively so for all the blood and treasure lost in Asia by the US so far they have achieved nothing.
One pissy little pipeline from Baku (BTC) which the Russian have to help with keeping it full, and after the recent conflict in Georgia, showed US Israeli plans to be non starters.
When is someone going to tell the American troops they died and where maimed for nothing, but that one little pipeline that Israel failed to provide security for.
Now the US wants to move into the Asia Pacific region.
The whole thing makes me want to execute a few Monsanto scientists. Soon Asia will take its revenge on the Imperialist American invaders and drive them out of our lands forever.

That is Not America. I don’t know where you live. You have bad hair anyway.
Honey, that so is. And we don’t care when they cry. We don’t hear babies crying anymore.
You make Americans sound heartless.
Americans are without justice so the people just do as they think best. They hope for change, and they hope for children, so they can feed the little ones to Moloch in little oven doors.
That so is not true!

@Gold Bullet, Good point. Nigerian fuel subsidies were decreed by the IMF. The puppet president has no say. The cabal has to threaten oil supplies to take out western nations.
They create a problem. (pull fuel subsidies to the oil workers ) wait for a reaction. (a strike by people who now cannot feed their children) and the solution is sky high fuel prices to destroy the economies of the world.
Meanwhile they are trying everything they can to close Hormuz based on a complete lack of sovereignty and no credible justification for their seemingly insane response.

The ruler of the Gulf state of Qatar says Arab countries should send troops into Syria to stop government forces killing civilians.
The emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, made the comments during an interview with an American news channel.
“For such a situation to stop the killing … some troops should go to stop the killing,” he said, when asked whether he supports Arab intervention.
Qatar’s proposal to send Arab troops to Syria demonstrates the mounting concern over the killing of civilians.
It is the first time an Arab leader has publicly called for military intervention in Syria.
In August, Sheikh Hamad described the Syrian leadership’s heavy-handed use of force against protesters as “fruitless”, and urged serious reforms. Qatar then withdrew its ambassador from Damascus.
Qatar was the first Arab country to join the NATO-led operation in Libya.
It has also led regional criticism of the crackdowns on protesters by Mr Assad and in Yemen by president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Weapon supplies
Meanwhile, a US official said on Friday that Washington has reason to believe Iran is supplying security-related equipment “including munitions” to Syria in its crackdown.
The accusation came after the head of the elite Revolutionary Guards’ Quds force, Qasem Soleimani, visited Damascus this month.
A Russian ship suspected of carrying munitions for Damascus arrived in the Syrian port of Tartus on “January 11 or 12,” shipping expert Mikhail Voitenko said on Saturday.
Efforts to isolate Assad’s government were boosted by rebel plans to form a high military council, headed by a top defector, to oversee military operations against the regime.
General Mustafa Ahmad al-Sheikh, the most senior commander to defect from the Syrian army, will announce the council’s formation in Turkey, where he sought refuge 12 days ago, his media adviser said.

UN chief renews attack on Assad, amid amnesty
Updated January 16, 2012 00:42:23
United Nations chief Ban Ki-moon has again urged Syria’s Bashar al-Assad to stop killing his own people, as Damascus announced a general amnesty for crimes committed during the unrest.
“Today, I say again to president Assad of Syria: Stop the violence. Stop killing your people. The path of repression is a dead end,” Mr Ban said in a keynote address at a conference in Beirut on democracy in the Arab world.
“The winds of change will not cease to blow. The flame ignited in Tunisia will not be dimmed,” he added.

I’d like to you to address the predictions of gold and silver surging compared to the predicted dollar value.
When a report, like the one 2 pages back says gold will go between 3000 and 5000, I wonder to myself, what are they predicting? The serge of gold or the drop in the dollar’s worth? What will I be able to buy with my $5000 gold coin. A truck load of flour or a loaf of bread?
If hyper inflation hits I hope that gold will at least retain its relative value.
When they say gold will reach $5000 isn’t misleading even if the prediction comes true. When gold reaches $5000 what will be the buying power of that $5000.
(CNN) — Israel and the United States are “supporters of state terrorism” and will suffer a “punitive response” at an “opportune time,” Iran’s Press TV cited a top Iranian general as saying Sunday, days after an Iranian nuclear scientist was killed.
Iran will hold “the U.S., Britain and the Zionist regime accountable for their actions,” said the deputy chairman of Iran’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, Brig. Gen. Massoud Jazayeri.
Jazayeri said the assassination would not hinder Iran’s progress towards strategic technologies, the government-run Press TV reported Sunday, following an interview with him on Saturday.
Meanwhile Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad blamed “agents of imperialism and international Zionism,”

Despite being (also) an Israeli, and a Zionist (don’t hate me!), I do not live in the holy land anymore. I am totally flabbergasted by Israeli policies; they don’t make any sense whatsoever. Not socially, not militarily, not economically. I think that the Israeli project , if you weigh everything in, failed, just like the American one. It did not have to be like that; but the mindset of the generation that formed the country, alongside the typical tyrannical stupidity of its charming neighbors, brought us here.

Gosh, with so many American military bases around the world with around 200,000 personnel in those, and now needing to send more troops to the Middle East, off to Libya, to Israel, getting set to fight Iran, it seems like they’re going to run out of cannon fodder – I mean people.
And what about this building of military hospitals and bases in Georgia? Yep. The US is building 20-bed emergency military hospitals in Georgia apparently in preparation for war with Iran. It seems like Americans are going to run out of people to fight their “wars” for them. Maybe they should make a deal with China and outsource their military.
Provoking Russia, China, Iran all at the same time… wow. They won’t be able to build new drones fast enough. Oh well, the U.S. won’t have a shortage of very talented video game kids to pilot the drones all over the world, plinking the women and children left, right and center. Maybe they can retrofit one of the drones with a special pee-pee gun to piss on the corpses.

Popular vote means that he won, imo. This means to me also that “the majorety of the people ‘gets RP’s message” and the proclaimed un electability is a non-issue for most.
The reason, as it appears to me, that there isn’t a public discussion about RP is the fact that “both sides” of the argument find it a non-issue.

Well done Vonda, You are reading the right stuff. The Japanese were been covertly controlled by the Rotschilds. The whole staged Pacific war was to provide cover for the greatest gold grab in history. The entire cold war was a fake, used to justify a massive arms build up. It was the only way to justify massive nuclear weapons. In 1945, the Americans secretly reasoned that the only way to control people was to keep them on the edge of terror.
The US was never fighting communism. This state capitalist system was run by bankers. The 1917 revolution was against the Czarists. The Czarists refused to allow a Russian central bank. The Czarists were also allies of the US when the US was a constitutional republic. (They even sold them Alaska for $9 million).
Russia was the only power big enough to fabricate an enemy out of. The claim was that Communism was hell bent on world domination. In fact it was the bankster cabal that were and still are hellbent on world domination.
Now the Asians want what was stolen back. Of course they don’t want to pay but they face bankruptcy and exposure if they don’t.

A diplomat and several journalists and human rights activists told Inter Press Service (IPS) they were admitted into the town of 120,000 only with close police escorts and were severely restricted over who they could speak with.
They reported that almost all traces of the shootings had been obliterated and that repairs were under way at the burned-out city hall on the main square and the adjacent headquarters of
It is clear that the intrinsic value of the dollar is eroding in an expedited manner.
The Ten year Treasury note is now yielding 1.93%, that is down in yield from 3.34% a year ago today. Meanwhile, the year over year increase in Consumer Price Inflation jumped to 3.4% in November, up from 1.1% in the twelve months prior.

Dedo try a brain cap; this response is only related to the most plentiful energy resource, coal from US EIA 2007 statistics. ‘According to the World Coal Institute, 2007 statistics, at current rates of production global coal reserves are estimated to last 147 years, which is in contrast to global oil and natural gas reserves estimated at 41 and 63 years respectively based on current consumption. Coal generates 40% of the world’s electricity and 25% of its primary energy needs. Approximately 13% of the total coal production worldwide is use by the steel industry.
From the World Coal Institute 2006 statistics: Producers, Exporters.
2006 Proven recoverable national reserves: Wikipedia
(Mt-millions of tonnes)
Producers Exports Recoverable Reserves
USA 990Mt 45Mt 246,643Mt
India 427Mt no statistic 92,445Mt
Australia 309 Mt 231Mt 78,500Mt
China 248Mt 63Mt 114,500Mt
South Africa 244Mt 69Mt 48,750Mt
Russia 233Mt 92Mt 157,010Mt
Indonesia 169Mt 129Mt 4,968Mt
Poland 95Mt no statistic 14,000Mt
Columbia 64Mt 60Mt 6,611Mt
Total: Worldwide: 909,064Mt
In addition, there was a recent discovery in the Thar region of Pakistan of nearly 185 billion tonnes. This figure does not reflect recoverable quantity.
Countries heavily dependent on coal for electricity generation:
Poland 93% Israel 71% Czech Rep 59%
S.Africa 93% Kasakhstan 70% Greece 58%
Australia 80% India 69% USA 50%
PR China 78% Morocco 69% Germany 47%
The abundance and availability of coal has led many in the energy industry to believe that coal was immune from supply instability. However, over the past year, there have been a number of events worldwide affecting supplies. Australia had flooding at major mines dramatically stunting exports to Asia, South Africa curtailed exports to Europe after experiencing power shortages, Russia experienced rail-car shortages for exports, Japan has significantly increased imports following earthquake damage to a nuclear facility, India, in spite of large reserves has increased imports and Indonesia has increased domestic use thus curtailing exports. This past year China has closed several mines and suffered one of its worst winters in 50 years. The coal mines closing have reduced China’s coal exports of 80Mt, which represents approximately 12% of the internationally traded market. http://www.peakenergy.com/2008/02/coal
The price of coal has risen from $30 per short tonne in 2000 to $123.50, June 25th, 2008 Bloomberg/ real time rate.
Coal is primarily used as a solid fuel to produce electricity and heat through combustion. Furnaces convert boiler water to steam which turns turbines to create electricity. The most advanced power plants are 35% efficient, with 65% of energy heat wasted and released into the environment.

SEOUL, South Korea – South Korean customs officials say they have arrested eight men over a scheme to allegedly smuggle gold out of the country by hiding it in their rectums.
The Korea Customs Service said Monday the men allegedly transformed $260,000 in gold bars into small beads and smuggled them in their rectums to Japan two times in 2010 to avoid import taxes.
South Korea says Japanese custom officials caught the men on their second attempt and sent them home after imposing fines. Later, one of the suspects allegedly orchestrated an unsuccessful bid to smuggle gold bars from Mongolia to Hong Kong using a similar method.
Meanwhile, South Korean officials gathered evidence against them at home. They say the suspects recently admitted to the smuggling after initial denials.

Dada Occupation!
Dada is a new tendency in art. One can tell this from the fact that until now nobody knew anything about it, and tomorrow everyone in Zurich will be talking about it. Dada comes from the dictionary. It is terribly simple. In French it means “hobby horse”. In German it means “good-bye”, “Get off my back”, “Be seeing you sometime”. In Romanian: “Yes, indeed, you are right, that’s it. But of course, yes, definitely, right”. And so forth.
An International word. Just a word, and the word a movement. Very easy to understand. Quite terribly simple. To make of it an artistic tendency must mean that one is anticipating complications. Dada psychology, dada Germany cum indigestion and fog paroxysm, dada literature, dada bourgeoisie, and yourselves, honoured poets, who are always writing with words but never writing the word itself, who are always writing around the actual point. Dada world war without end, dada revolution without beginning, dada, you friends and also-poets, esteemed sirs, manufacturers, and evangelists. Dada Tzara, dada Huelsenbeck, dada m’dada, dada m’dada dada mhm, dada dera dada, dada Hue, dada Tza.
How does one achieve eternal bliss? By saying dada. How does one become famous? By saying dada. With a noble gesture and delicate propriety. Till one goes crazy. Till one loses consciousness. How can one get rid of everything that smacks of journalism, worms, everything nice and right, blinkered, moralistic, europeanised, enervated? By saying dada. Dada is the world soul, dada is the pawnshop. Dada is the world’s best lily-milk soap. Dada Mr Rubiner, dada Mr Korrodi. Dada Mr Anastasius Lilienstein. In plain language: the hospitality of the Swiss is something to be profoundly appreciated. And in questions of aesthetics the key is quality.
I shall be reading poems that are meant to dispense with conventional language, no less, and to have done with it. Dada Johann Fuchsgang Goethe. Dada Stendhal. Dada Dalai Lama, Buddha, Bible, and Nietzsche. Dada m’dada. Dada mhm dada da. It’s a question of connections, and of loosening them up a bit to start with. I don’t want words that other people have invented. All the words are other people’s inventions. I want my own stuff, my own rhythm, and vowels and consonants too, matching the rhythm and all my own. If this pulsation is seven yards long, I want words for it that are seven yards long. Mr Schulz’s words are only two and a half centimetres long.
It will serve to show how articulated language comes into being. I let the vowels fool around. I let the vowels quite simply occur, as a cat miaows . . . Words emerge, shoulders of words, legs, arms, hands of words. Au, oi, uh. One shouldn’t let too many words out. A line of poetry is a chance to get rid of all the filth that clings to this accursed language, as if put there by stockbrokers’ hands, hands worn smooth by coins. I want the word where it ends and begins. Dada is the heart of words.
Each thing has its word, but the word has become a thing by itself. Why shouldn’t I find it? Why can’t a tree be called Pluplusch, and Pluplubasch when it has been raining? The word, the word, the word outside your domain, your stuffiness, this laughable impotence, your stupendous smugness, outside all the parrotry of your self-evident limitedness. The word, gentlemen, is a public concern of the first importance.

Eurogroup reacts to downgrade of EFS
Standard & Poor’s downgrade of the European Financial Stability’s credit rating will not reduce the bailout fund’s lending capacity of 440 billion euros, the Eurogroup said Monday.
“EFSF has sufficient means to fulfill its commitments under current and potential future adjustment programs and will continue to be backed by unconditional and irrevocable guarantees by euro-area member states,” said a statement released by the Eurogroup, and attributed to its president, Jean-Claude Juncker.
“Weekly Geopolitical News and Analysis20120117: The Old World Order wants to surrender but to the people, not to the New World Order.
The negotiations on a new financial system for the planet are proceeding well but due to the complexity of the situation, it will take time before any public announcements are possible, according to sources close to the negotiations. The current owners of the Federal Reserve Board System and the Washington D.C. corporate government are hoping to offer enough reforms that they can stay in power. Their money has been frozen, though, by a group that would rather see them all put in jail. The final solution to the problem will need to involve an audit of the real world and the removal of all fraudulent funds from the system. It will also involve a massive redistribution of wealth, meaning that the American people and other worldwide victims of the cabal will get their stolen funds returned to them…”
It sounds like wishful thinking on the part of Fulford.
My Geopolitical news is different Doesnt sound so orderly.
A mob of horsemen armed with sticks and petrol bombs attacked an exploration camp run by South African miner Gold Fields’ joint venture in Kyrgyzstan, the latest in a series of assaults on mining companies in the Central Asian state, Reuters reported.
Talas Copper Gold, a joint venture between Gold Fields and Britain’s Orsu Metals , said on Monday that its security manager was severely beaten as he fled from a burning building at the exploration camp in Talas province.
The company said in a statement that the attack occurred shortly after midnight in the early hours of Saturday morning. Around 10 horsemen set fire to several buildings, it said.
“This incident does not appear to follow from any community action but seems to be a premeditated attack by a small group,” the company said. It said the security manager was recovering in hospital.
The latest incident is another warning to potential foreign investors in Kyrgyzstan’s mining sector. Talas Copper Gold said a criminal investigation was under way and that it would start its new drilling programme in November as planned.
Kyrgyzstan, a former Soviet republic of 5.5 million people, is preparing to elect its next president on Oct. 30, following a year in which its former leader was overthrown and hundreds were killed in mob violence.
Attacks on prospective mining developments in Kyrgyzstan have occurred on several occasions since the April 2010 revolution, disrupting attempts by the new government to develop a viable mining industry in the gold-rich republic.
Talas Copper Gold itself suffered a similar attack in March. Australian miner Kentor Gold has said supporters of its Andash copper and gold development, also in Talas province, have been threatened.
Employees of a Chinese-owned mining company were beaten in August at a separate development in Naryn province.
A single gold mine, Kumtor, contributes around 10 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s gross domestic product and nearly half of its industrial production. Owned by Toronto-listed Centerra Gold Inc , it produced 7.8 million ounces, or 243 tonnes, from its launch in May 1997 to the end of 2010.
Prime Minister Almazbek Atambayev, who is running for president, told Reuters in June that the government would weed out corruption in the mining sector to secure the proceeds from many untapped metals deposits.
Talas Copper Gold has four exploration licences — Barkol, Taldybulak, Kentash and Korgontash — and has invested $15 million between 2005 and 2010. It has planned a further $2.5 million of investment this year

This was a very interesting episode. Great work as usual by stacyherbert. The guest raised an interesting point that I would like to pursue.

U.S. troops quietly surge into Middle East
David S. Cloud, Tribune Co.
Friday, January 13, 2012

We shall see if Rickards is correct.
Iran and Nth Korea could seriously curb US interests in Asia.
NATO does not want a China Pakistan Iran LNG pipeline.
Also America’s inability to secure Iraq means that the Hormuz bypass pipeline has not gone ahead. Still no date on that.
America has lost and the world now gets turned upside down.
People are so far behind the curve on this outside Asia it is laughable.
The reason these wars are fought this long war is to secure rights to build these pipelines.
There are no exceptions, pipelines are it. He who controls them controls the world.
The real war or great game is going on in the Fergana valley
http://www.globalresearch.ca/coverStoryPictures/16932.jpg

No! You didn’t! That’s depraved.
But, I did! That’s what we do in America. We look for postage stamps and when our government can’t pay for postage we use human flesh for coinage.
But, it is! Vietnam just whetted the gristmill looking for human blood. The flywheel is wet with teeth grinning. War is an act of aggression is a reasonable quest. Words fly like ravens looking for carrion. Capital is now become a human concern.
Things will get better. I’m convinced. America is what we Americans think it is. We will grow our way out of this. Maybe there will be a war? Can you pass the potato salad?

The Saudi Spring?!?!
Hey Max,
I’d like to you to address the predictions of gold and silver surging compared to the predicted dollar value.
What does anybody else think?
Thank You.

@Al Kyder,
Despite being (also) an Israeli, and a Zionist (don’t hate me!), I do not live in the holy land anymore.

Thanks, Stacy for pointing-out the pin-striped attire. What company in the world has annual turnovers of 140 billion Euros with annual profits of 100 billion, plus 65 billion Euros in liquidity? And that’s just the numbers for Italy! Is there any country on the planet without a mafia?
According to Catherine Austin Fitts, the US during George Bush I administration’s (late 80s) was already laundering $1 trillion annually and today, two decades later that amount would be much greater.
Do the various mafias face any setbacks? Yes, competition, since this planet is finite in size with finite resources, therefore they’re running out of quality assets to buy.

Nice how you try to start a discussion about RP’s “un electability”.
Before that you mentioned that, to build up credibility, you need to “predict”.

ALMATY – Kazakhstan this week canceled, then re-authorised, elections in a remote oil town where recent riots stemming from a long-running oil workers strike left at least 16 dead and more than 40 buildings burned.
Since the riots on December 16, Zhanaozen, located east of the Caspian Sea, has been under a state of emergency, and arrests of strike leaders have continued.

Very Good Point Pento: NEGATIVE INTEREST RATES BULLISH FOR GOLD
Pento: US to Default, Crushing Dollar & Creating Gold Explosion, 16 January 2012, by Eric King (King World News) http://kingworldnews.com/kingworldnews/KWN_DailyWeb/Entries/2012/1/16_Pento__US_to_Default,_Crushing_Dollar_%26_Creating_Gold_Explosion.html
Excerpt:
It is clear that the intrinsic value of the dollar is eroding in an expedited manner.
The Ten year Treasury note is now yielding 1.93%, that is down in yield from 3.34% a year ago today. Meanwhile, the year over year increase in Consumer Price Inflation jumped to 3.4% in November, up from 1.1% in the twelve months prior.
Therefore, real interest rates are negative and falling. Falling real interest rates reduces investors’ appetites to hold dollars and increases their willingness to buy gold…..

Hey Max and Stacy, this was a great show. Thanks.

Men Arrested For Smuggling Gold In Rectums
Updated: Monday, 16 Jan 2012, 3:13 PM EST
Published : Monday, 16 Jan 2012, 9:24 AM EST
