Amazing that in this day and age, the big drug-store chain was not a limited company. The family business is in this case exactly what it means … the family are also probably BK.
I guess their attempt to sell goods at “cheapest prices” didn’t do them any good.
I also guess that the Banks didn’t entertain the idea of a Limited simply because they would have to have signed a bond from the family on their private wealth to stay in business.

I recall – personally – a case of a young heiress ( 28 ) that tried to keep her deceased father’s company afloat.
The banks persauded her to sign over 28 of the 29 million DM her family was worth to keep the 400 jobs and the company. Once they’d got her signature, they folded the company. She was left with under 1 mio.
Unfortunately I found out about it all “after” the deal was done.
I am glad to say that this particular German Big Bank … also no longer exists – at least no longer in name.

Hi Susan. Religion does n’t give us any answers. As for the piece you quote it appears to be from someone that believes they have a direct revelation from God. I don’t think that this “gift” is in operation anymore according to the New Testament. I am strictly Sola Scriptura. Looking at her husbands website it also apperars that they preach a false gospel ie “Pray this prayer and you’re saved.” Jesus clearly preached, “Repent and believe”, which is altogether a different message.

It also looks like she maybe part of the whole joels army brigade which is also an unbiblical concept that is infiltrating the church and very mixed up with eastern mysticism/new agism.

The passage she quotes needs to be understood in the context of a captive nation yearning to return to rebuild their homeland. Some would also say that Psalm 102 is a Messianic prophecy.
This section of that Psalm is very good news to anyone who realises that they are spiritually destitute because of their sins. It pairs up very nicely with a New Testament quote: “It is appointed unto man once to die and after this the judgement.” We are after all prisoners waiting for our sentence.

This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

@ MirrorMirror. Re: breakdown of family by design. Very sad issue. Most people don’t get that this is spiritual warfare. Is there another book that best describes the state of humanity than the Bible? I was reading another post below about Hollie Greig. There is little justice in this life, but there will be absolute justice in the next. For anyone here that loves justice but hates the Bible, can you honestly say that this passage is not relevant? Doesn’t your conscience tell you that there absolutely must be a day of reckoning?

My father told me when he was applying for a job just after the second great war they would ask if he was married or not only for two reasons.

1) Married man are more dependable on the job so more obedient to the money/company especially with children in the family.

2) If he wasn’t married they would pay him less because they decided for him he wouldn’t need the money.

Since my father worked freelance he has heard many stories including the one that he was acknowledged/threatened with the fact that ‘It was of no use’ applying elsewhere since they made topped out salary agreements.

Whist the UK economy is in a dire mess, moving back to a manufacturing economy and away from this financial chicanery will prove difficult for one very simple reason – resources. The UK is a dot on the landscape that has long used up the low hanging fruits and as such will have to import more energy, more ore and more of whatever else is needed to make “stuff”. Financial markets on the other hand need a more readily available resource that doesn’t require importation into the country to be made use of – idiots.
Historically the UK has not had to deal with trading partners on an even basis. If we wanted cotton we went and conquered a nation that produced cotton, if we wanted tobacco we went and conquered a nation that produced tobacco, if we wanted to trade with a country that would not conduct business in our currency we got them hooked on opium and sold them the opium. We also used tariffs to our advantage, you are an Indian tailor that wants to sell your cotton goods here? Sure, but the tariffs make your product far more expensive than something run off a factory in Stockport which incurs no tariff. Personally I don’t see how England can be competitive in a global market for manufactured goods.

Romney’s 13.9% tax rate may have been netted with Capital losses. In fact it is very possible that some years he losses money and has carryover. Thus capital gains should be at a lower rate because you are risking losing your money every time. Its hard to believe Keiser wouldn’t point that out. Is he on board with Obama?

Without the counterfeiting cartel (the banking system) to borrow from, it is likely that Apple would be much more widely owned. How else could it have funded its expansion but with shares in equity?
