   Important popular science artictle at spiegel.de (German). Why traditional economics could not deduct the easy rules of greed? In my opinion, there is the same hyporcrisy in describing greed as writing about economic behaviour. Must read for fans of Max. It could bring his discussion and analysis of corporate and financial greed one step forward. However, the power of self-deception is too strong to be easily defeated…

   Why do we the producing people of the world 7 billion strong bow to the 1% nonproducing people of the world?

   Simple.

   They control our money then they control us.

   Take your money keep it at home and buy from your producing brother.

   Glad to see the Indian Workers standing up together for their rights – President Manmohan Singh, who seems like a man of Decency, will hopefully listen.

   Though the translator made it a bit tricky I did read the article. I think in regards to the point at the end – of course people can be acting or seen to act altruistically. What people do isn’t necessarily so revealing, as why they do what they do. So a Company that gives money to Charity in order to get a Tax rebate, may not really be that altruistic.

   The article also commented on the propensity of the poor and the rich to think the same but not necessarily act the same with regard to cheating. Well perhaps that is a small mercy! When you consider what the unchecked GREED of the Bankers and some of the 1% along with Political support has done to the Global Village and its now increased Peasant Class.
   I’ve nothing against achievement – Money is just money, it’s what we make of it. That we have all in some way made a God of it is evident. Were it not for the very disproportionate “karma” of suffering now being experienced by poor people and infact all people – as many of the middle class now struggle too (!) – I’d be less concerned. Even “well to do” got Ripped Off, at MF global, not just hardworking forward thinking Farmers.

   I wouldn’t get too happy about having the right/self-esteem issue either if I were them – as tests have shown Psychopaths, very many murderers, had and have High Self Esteem! They worried what others thought of them, and felt they could – and did and do – Murder. Some of them get away with it.

   You seem to suggest Max should expand his thinking… he would have to speak for himself really. Yet for myself, I don’t think it is wrong to comment on Injustice and want Justice? If you think “Well, really all these 99% just wish THEY were the 1%” then there are those who that would be true for, no doubt. But we’ve moved way beyond that when year on year out all you’re seeing is Global Uprising and Protest. Something is fundamentally needing to be addressed.
   I’ve chatted to a millionaire early one morning about how much I like his car I passed everyday – we had a good laugh about it! This isn’t ENVY – this is just Reality.
   Must go now, but don’t think Max need move the conversation “forward” – so much as keep exposing the Obvious. The only “Self-deception” would be by those who really think we can return to the world stifling Status Quo or instigate a New World Order where the order of the day is “to hell with everyone bar me (1%)” it will be intrinsically unworkable.
