Funny as well, in the US you guys call it a ‘cart’ – but we in the UK call it a ‘trolley’. Thus we have the expression:
Trolleyed: To engage in the act of over consumption of alcohol. To become drunk.
Which all reminds me of being in a US supermarket asking where the ‘bin liners’ are. It was an excruciating exchange including other English words that fell on stony ground like ‘a bag to put rubbish in’. ‘Refuse Sack’ was the eventual answer that we both understood.
