the modern monetary system is a very well disguised and very well promoted form of zombie slavery. You have to work to earn credit(bits of paper) in this system and the controllers and issuers of this paper are able to manipulate so being able to skim/steal in the system. They also have such PR for the system that the slaves will defend the it thinking they have a chance of advancing in the system, yeah right! Firstly, I loathe fractional reserve banking but, it is with what we have to deal.
Perhaps the central banks should be limited by the people from targeting rates below a certain threshold say five percent. Once this threshold of monetary accomodation has been reached no more bonds may be issued. This should bring some relief to depositors and fixed income investors so that at the very least some funds are are making it into the economy and maintaining the economy’s lifecycle. These measures would put a limit on downward pressure being exerted by the speculative trading damage monkeys as they demand protection from their own greed and hubris.
This will not stop recessions but should end the debt black holes sucking the life from the economy.
