    Sky were pushing this angle early this morning, but I don’t see it making the news since;

    Syria’s Chemical Secret: Israel Raises Alarm

    Excerpts:
    “Al Qaeda-related groups are known to be operating inside Syria. Its leadership has frequently extolled members or followers to try to get hold of chemical weapons.

    There are widespread fears that a Gaddafi-style collapse of Syria into chaos, would mean that chemical weapons would spread around the globe.

    In May, 12,000 special forces commandos spent almost a month training for the sort of scenario now presented by Syria.”

    The Guardian – inching towards the truth but never quite reporting it ;-)

    Still, a very informative piece about the main actors with the Syrian opposition, e.g. check out what it says about Bassma Kodmani! Talk about networking.

    “This has been brewing for a time. The sheer energy and meticulous planning that’s gone into this change of regime – it’s breathtaking”

    breathtaking hypocrisy on the part of the grauniad surely? like all the other lamestream media they’ve endlessly quoted “activists” on Syria, including all these people, without asking who they are or what their motivations are. then when it’s obvious that the ‘uprising’ is nothing but paid thugs of the west they come out with crumbs from the table like this. there’s no point reading any of the tripe these publications spew forth.
