Funny. I saw this TV add for the US Navy. It showed a air craft carrier moving across the screen. Its deck was loaded with fighters, AWACS, choppers and other apparatuses used for destruction or the support of other apparatuses used for destruction. And I thought, there goes 5 years of health care for the entire nation.

Our entire nation benefits from the USPS. 44 cents to mail something from NYC to LA is a bargain. Plus you get the added protection by federal law that no one, absolutely no one other then the recipient is allowed to open it or read its contents. And anyone who thinks that the instant the USPS goes away and UPS or FedEx will not jack up there prices is a fool. Again, its OK to break promises to the postal union and workers, but heaven forbid breaking any promise to the bond holders.

The Postal Act of 2006 was just to fudge the figures for Bush’s budget and 2 wars we were in. We almost break even every quarter if it wasn’t for that payment.

If USPS is going to whine about anything tell em to start a shipping business in the private sector. See what a days work actually feels like. Be on the other side of the IRS barb-wire-fence…

The Stress! The Stress! The mail! It just keeps on Coming!!!

Off topic. And where to put this?

The woman who helped bring us ‘Startpage’ to avoid Google’s prying eyes, and who has been fairly successful stirring up opposition to RFID chips, is back in the fight. She has been recently battling breast cancer, but feels well enoughto resume in her cause.

    https://startpage.com/eng/protect-privacy.html

She’s raising the alert that next month Macy’s is going to do a massive RFID campaign. Other retailers will be watching this, and will join suit if there isn’t widespread opposition by the public.

    Her website is here:

I will help out as I can, I bought four copies of her book today (Spychips) to pass out to friends..
