I keep thinking of the demons calling “Dami, Dami,” to Father Damian Karras in the The Exorcist.

In Rene Fulop – Miller’s classic 1927 book, Rasputin The Holy Devil, it is documented on page 161 that Rasputin maintained that had he not been lying on a sick-bed at the time (from an assasination attempt in 1914) that he would have been able to stop Russia from entering the war. He also documents how Rasputin gave much of his money away to the poor and needy over the years.
