This guy used to work within the ministry of finance b4 going to the CDN central bank. While with the finance department he helped usher ‘subprime’ mortgage lending in Canada and is is partly responsible for the bubble here. He also got the job as Canadian central banker through strange circumstances. There were others on the list ahead of him to become Canadian central banker and it was a surprise to many observers that he got the Bank of Canada job.
