    An Example Walter Lini, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Lini.
Vanuatu was having its fishing grounds stripped by USA fishing Vessels, They did not have the resources to defend these, so leased the fishing rights to the Soviet Union so as at least get something. His government was destabilised, he ended up dead within a short period of time. Democracy in action.
Australia has had puppet governments for ever, Gough Whitlam was the exception, he lost power in a coup.

This is an example of what’s LAWful and Constitutional, like County Sheriffs, and what’s Color of Law and corporately fraudulent like Holder and The God damned Creature in the White House.

It’s Stand and Deliver for some of us… thank God.
…(and the rest of you can go back and keep hiding under your God damned rocks.)

I can hardly wait to hear your miserable worthless God damned preposterous ‘Opinions’ about what’s REALLY going to happen.

Good report. The first half talks about the problem and the second half says this isn’t the way it has to be and provides some good examples of how there is a positive move away from these underhanded actions.

Surprising support for the Keynesian economic system but then I don’t think Keynes had in mind all the perversions committed in his name.

btw, when exactly did John Perkins have his change of mind and switched from “hitman” to “wistleblower”?
just to make sure about from when on his talking about “we” is no longer meant to mean “the government and me” …. anyone can tell?
    2006/2007 ? … just asking?

    From the horse’s mouth –

“1980. He had an epiphany while sailing in the Virgin Island. He rowed ashore, climbed a hill to the ruins of an old sugar plantation, sat among bougainvillea, watching sun set over the Caribbean – it was very idyllic. Suddenly he was struck by the realization that the plantation was built on the bones of thousands of slaves.”

    thanks!!! …
I read his book in 2008, and watched most of his vids available on YT ever since …. sometimes I wonder, how he is still going strong, telling all that “truth”, not hindered
    in any way …
Abby Martin is not a convincing source for me whatsoever … I´m sorry! :-(

“…John’s books have sold over 1 million copies, spent 72 weeks on the New York Times bestseller lists, and are published in more than 30 languages. As Chief Economist at a major consulting firm, his experiences advising the World Bank, UN, IMF, US government, Fortune 500 corporations, and heads of state convinced him to devote his life to facilitating changes in consciousness and in social, political, and economic systems. He is founder and board member of Dream Change and co-founder of The Pachamama Alliance, nonprofits dedicated to creating a sustainable, just, peaceful, and thriving world.

    just asking?

puking is the response, i do not know what the
collective equivalent might be? maybe art?
    expressed and consume/share-ed?

C’mon, don’t y’all think they could neutralise him, if, if they wanted ?
Have y’all noticed the ramped up anti amerriccan sentiment. If not, am i seeing things ?

    Cheers

  10. Skiddypants

If they wanted to take him out……. They would have by now .
He serves a purpose . Who’s purpose ? I think you all know.

    Cheers

@Skiddypants While I think you make a worthwhile point … I have to believe there is a strong alternative. They have bigger problems than “neutralizing” all the rats leaving the sinking ship. The ship ain’t that powerful and so many, from many administrations and areas of power, have abandoned it. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there is no Grand Master Plan that’s actually working.

Excellent. Abby Martain interviewing the man who wrote THAT book (tis on me kindle). Looking forward to watching this.

  13. Flopot

This is a great interview (still watching as I type) and an a very credible platform, i.e. the Abby Martin show.

  14. Flopot

    “what steps were efforted there”

I cannot keep up with the English language. Wtf does that phrase even mean? ;P

  15. Flopot

Brilliant interview. The man has a healthy awareness of the strength of a DEMOCRATIC free market and the evil that corporations can do. Nice to see him skewer Milton Fraudman as the bastard that help start it all, i.e. the evil neoliberal meme that “all that matters are profits” and the BULLSHIT corrollary that everything else will fall into place.

Business school is not a place where economics is taught. He clearly never read any of milton Friedman’s or Keynes’s books nor has he ever encountered an economics teacher.

Abby is okay but I don’t use her as a primary source of information since she provides an opinion piece and doesn’t really do investigative journalism.

I do wonder why the economic hit man hasn’t been hit. I’m guessing that those who would have ended his career may not be in positions to affect him now and that he talks in general terms rather than naming specific names. Those in power are a mixed bunch. Some good, some not. I recently bought his book but haven’t read it yet.

This is such old news! I meet him seven years ago. Just like global warming this site is years behind the science. You need to get off planet earth look at our universe and just look up at what is being done to our atmosphere.

  19. Jayme

I suppose an alternative view is that John Perkins is simply being used to help bring down the American empire and so is protected by people high up the food chain (?).
