[KR403] Keiser Report: The Birth of a Scandal

We discuss the Wall Street schmatas now warning of bondpocalypse as bonds now considered ‘risky’ investment. They also discuss both George Osborne’s electric fence of new financial regulatory powers which are same as the old powers that have never actually been used against the too big to fail banks and the London lawyers suggesting that the level of manipulation of Libor was so great that contracts tied to the rate should be considered null and void. In the second half of the show, Max Keiser talks to John Butler, Chief Investment Officer at Amphora Capital, about the bond market, currency vigilantes and the not very hidden inflation.

    I agree with him on education.
    He stated that today’s students would fail an example for the same grade in a school from the 1870s (IIRC).
    Kids today are taught as if they are parrots … they are NOT taught to THINK !

    The German school system is totally F***ed up.
    Many other German parents are complaining and shocked at what is taught today in their “Grammar” schools. Even (especially young) Teachers are not allowed to think and use their own teaching ability … and always use the excuse that the “orders” come from “top” …. the “Ministry of Education”. My guess is that this another “EU” idea . “Planned Education” as in “Planned Economy”. i.e. another form of “Statist Control”.

    etc. .. I could go on , but I’ll leave it there.

    My son’s Chemistry lesson : in the school , the teacher spent 2 hours talking about Alcohol Molecules. Non of the kids were taught the “empirical idea” behind the chemistry of alcohols … just loads of confusing crap. BTW, my son gets good grades , especially in Chemistry.

    Anyway … he got home and searched Khan Academy for “the chemistry of alcohols” …. started watching the 10 minute video … and stopped after 3 minutes, saying “OK … now I get it “.

    Repeat : he learned more in 3 minutes watching an English Video than a Lesson of TWO HOURS in his Grammar School.

    but the education system in Europe started to go down the drain, when they started to take over the american system of “multiple choice” in schools and university!!!
    too many things, called “good” stuff, have spread like a virus from the US !!!
    oh yeah, I could go on as well ……..

    Stacy and Max should have Woody Holton on as a guest. He is the author of “Unruly Americans and the Origins of the Constitutions”.

    Apparently, the United States were suffering from 1) bond speculation, 2) high taxes in order to pay interest on bonds from the war 3) bond devaluation 4) efforts to print money to inflate away debts. This was all happening under the Articles of Confederation and are some of the reasons that our constitution defines only gold and silver can be used as money.

    I haven’t finished the book yet, but it seems to relate pretty well to what is happening in the world today and, if you can get ahold of Woody Holton, I would love to see him sit down for a conversation with Max.

    With the President declaring war instead of Congress and NDAA and drone strikes in undeclared wars it is time the US military stood up to this usurpation of their duty. they did not declare allegiance to the man who happens to be President like German soldiers did to Hitler. Where is the leadership in the armed forces to say no to illegal orders?

    yeah, you’re right.
    It is not even something mentioned by alternative media that troops should not be following these orders. Apparently troops are sacred cows since the Vietnam war with the empty rhetoric of ‘support the troops’ pushed by the mainstream media and govt which apparently gives the MIC carte blanche to tell them to do whatever they want. The removal of accountability is the greatest weapon the MIC, banksters etc have. That is why the example of Manning, the message being – ‘you do not want to try this.’

    Things are statrtig to get very interestibg down here in S.E. Asia, and thats been keeping us very busy. The term CURRENCY WAR is now in the common lexicon of SE Asia biz.
