You only have to grow the topsoil by 1/100th of a inch per year to absorb the CO2.
Funny how no one mentions this.
Kinda reminds me of the psychology of the housing bubble.

and Max again confuses AGW with climate change…. how evil and Marxist….

ThinkProgress is part of the Fascist propagandists machine for AGW…

No doubt climate changes, always will and always has, but using that natural process to control and rape the world is pushing it…

  3. nanny_govt_sucks

Trade issues are government issues, not climate issues. Adopting a free-trade policy will ease the “shocks” due to supply changes. Once again, government points the finger of blame elsewhere.

It is doubtfull the NWO and its fellow travellers will last very long. Evil doers like those in charge are too chaotic and arrogant and will make too many enemies and that will be their undoing.

Hang all bankers, politicians, government scientists and the media…THEN we might actually get to the bottom of something…

@Stacy. now that the basketball player has gone to NK. will the US stop helping to starve them?

Tax the fat, they stealin’ oxygen. LOL. And using too much electric in their obesity mobility scooters.
Cross dressing rotarian swinger bimbbling boris, 81ppm NOX poloution here in smackville, how about nationwide congestion charges? Them cat regs aint done jack for poloution. The council is roundabout & traffic light crazy. Bad for gas mileage. But who gives a s#!t, lets call it all ”carbon” and bend over for Al gore. Fracking morons, you been smoking monsanto crack seeds.

Again ignorance rules the mind of the American. Gun issues are solved by more guns. AGW is a lie by corporations, says many other corporations. The solution to climate change is that climate always changes…

Dumbass gringos think that burning all that carbon that was underground for geological ages in the blink of an eye has no effect at all. Of course, if it did, driving your car to the cornerstore to buy more oil based “foodstuff” would be a crime, wouldn’t it?

Oh, CO2 is only a fraction of the atmosphere, how could it affect anything… of course reality is linear… says the Hearthwhatever institute; brought to you by Costco (TM).

Keep listening to AJ, Fox News and all its minions. They’ll keep telling you, go on burning more shit, Hi Brazil ain’t sinking. Of course it ain’t. Except it is…

How I handle “climate change”. If it’s cold I shut the window. If it’s hot I open the window.

The same Club of Rome ‘illuminatti’, who devised the Global warming scam, had many prototype scams in the planning stage before their latest money grab.

See the same scientists disclose Global cooling in the decade before Kyoto.

These guys will do anything, make any story up, to get your hard earned cash and put you six feet under in their great ‘population reduction’ cull.

They’ll fire up the ovens if we let em.

    SAO : you say
‘How I handle “climate change”. If it’s cold I shut the window. If it’s hot I open the window.’

You’ve summed up the problem beautifully – the CO2 is in effect shutting the window – heat stays in – trouble is there’s no easy way to open that window.

    dlweld

wrong, you might be interested to know that there is no Sun at night and fewer clouds, further the Earth is NOT actually a greenhouse, excess heat escapes out of the atmosphere..

but maintaining a high school level mythology seems to be about the norm

Max Keiser has shown his true colors and no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt. No doubt he and ALGORE stand to gain by pushing the AGW meme all the way to the Rothchild/Blood & Gore Carbon Exchange. Gone Occidental, Max? Generating Algo, Max?

  15. Tom's fried, man

This is the same guy that was an Iraqi Invasion cheerleader for Bush’s lies of “WMD’s”…and now he is here being touted as an expert on anything?

Well, I guess there is one thing: he married well……seriously, this guy is a nutcase…and using him lessens, not strengthens, any argument about Climate Change.

    A blurb from article…..
“…There is rejoicing that William Kristol was given a pink slip from the Grey Lady. After all, his columns read like they were written by a Weekly Standard copy boy…. But there are more and more murmurs percolating online that Thomas Friedman’s column should get the kibosh as well. Not because he went from globalization bible-thumper to born-again environmentalist overnight…… Not because his columns involve lazy journalism….[which they do]
Friedman is the worst kind of columnist because he is given tremendous access to the world’s business leaders yet he is so utterly pathetic at questioning what they are up to. . Case in point: When he writes about India as a beacon of innovation, he….. never lifts up any rocks. Had he done any actual reporting, he would have found that Raju had fleeced his company (and the World Bank) for trillions of rupees. Instead, Friedman, in a typical cheeky column about India’s “E2K” energy revolution, applauds the fact that Satyam HQ has a zoo. Wow. Even worse, in his most recent book, he calls Raju “one of the most dynamic business leaders in India.”

AGW responsible for high wheat prices? Has anyone ever looked at how wheat is produced in a government subsidised system where the farmers are forced to sell their crops forward into a futures market to finance their operation? Has anyone looked at the free trade agreements that force other nations to “open their markets” to these products?

The wheat price in totally gamed by Wall Street and others. They own the futures contracts and game the price for profit.

This Friedman clown takes the failed carbon cult from desperation into laughing stock mode. At what stage do these people have to be handcuffed in a rocking chair, wearing pajamas so they can gaze out of the window without harming themselves?

  18. YoLithos

All the big insurers and reinsurers have been battening down the hatches for major climate and geological upheavals. So has the military. The tobacco conspiracies were nothing but a kindergarten fire drill, compared to what’s been going on.

The flat earthers keep reapiting statements that have been proved false again and again. Their declarations are so ignorant of basic physics that alone would make them a disservice to humanity. All on the level of : “rockets have nothing to push against, in space”.

Stacy’s comentary, in the latest TaM, on people in the USA forming serf loyalties to billionaire overlords, was impressively penetrating, as well as rather reserved and temperate.

The deniers must be posting in their billionaire overlord’s liveries. Like eastern police trolls type in uniform and with white gloves. It’s impolite to touch people without gloves, you know. Specially, strangers. Actually, in WWI, whole regiments of french cavalry died charging rapid-fire trenches and machine-guns – wearing white gloves, because that was part of dying “chic”.

    Humanity doesn’t change, does it?

  19. Eric

The original “green revolution” used to describe the progress made in agriculture with mechanized farming practices and improved plan genetics.

The current “greenies” make a total mockery of the “green revolution”. We have a new class of pestilence. Copyright monsters like Monsanto. The cross breeding of progressives and environmentalists – creating mindless activism diluting and polluting real issues. Capitalist-Progressives like Al Gore pushing carbon taxes on the public to support his mega-carbon footprint lifestyle with a global scam. And lets not leave out the money printing central banks skewing the whole playing field with ever depreciating fiat “money”.

Fridman is nothing more than a useful idiot spewing “climate-change” garbage while ignoring the black-pinko slime mold … come to think of it he is a part and parcel of the black-pinko slime ball.

  20. Curious

If the quickest way to lessen this very dire problem is to eliminate huge numbers of wasteful, polluting human beings, isn’t a great global war what the world desperately needs?

Billions of people need to cease to exist and those of us that continue on need to be neutered once we’ve bred our allotted number of offspring or else all life on earth is doomed, true or not? Does our current understanding of the natural world not necessarily bring us this conclusion?

  21. 623-3

Well, considering the average American consumes 100 times more kcals in exogenous form than in endogenous form (same kcal consumption as a whale); considering that population is expected to peak at 9 billion; and considering everyone seems to aim at the “American lifestyle”; the conclusion that humans are a risk to the biosphere is very real. If we were only 2 billion or less, we might be able to consume so much energy without destroying everything else. At our current numbers, it’s just impossible… unless you believe the world is unlimited, which it isn’t.

  22. Curious

Just trying to understand those who think the situation is quite so dire.

It seems an impossibility to change the behavior of so many people. Pointing fingers and getting angry over AGW only represents a kind of well of endless worry and frustration. You have to come to a point where you realize that nothing can really be done and that those who offer hope only do so for ulterior motives, don’t you?

  23. 623-3

    @Commentariat

Oh, we’re all going. Don’t worry. Hope when it’s your turn you remember how you denied it all till the grave.

    @Curious

The situation is quite so dire. It’s impossible to change the behaviour of so many people. So an “ordered solution”, like less consumption, having less children, preservation; is out of the realm of possibilities, and probably too late now. But, one can always try. Be the change you want to see in the world, or something. We had the chance to do things the right way, but the window of that probability is by now most possibly closed. And we couldn’t do things right because so many people were stupified by really brainless propaganda, like that Heartland Institute. Or Alex Jones. Or Fox News. Or “blame it all on Gore”, or whatever stupid bullshit. They yell high in the sky when there’s talk about a “carbon tax”, and nobody wants to abandon none of their privileges. Well, that’s a recipe for disaster. And so the change will not happen through the “good/voluntary way”, but through the “forced way” or the big die-off through climate instability, crop failures, lack of food, lack of drinkable water and energy sources, rising seas, super storms; uncontrollable wars, famine and disease. I wonder what will deniers say then.
