Stacy Summary: This chilly, quiet Sunday (fewer helicopters flying overhead today . . . oops, I spoke too soon, there goes one), I am mesmerised by this obesity chart (h/t Phil) Interesting how low down the list France and Italy are considering that they are two countries where large quantities of food are consumed that most Americans (who top the list of percentage obese) would avoid claiming that the food is ‘fattening.’ Perhaps it has to do with the fact that these nations actually eat real food that is not very far removed from the farm. There are few financiers extracting ‘equity’ (ie. the nutrients and quality of the food) between the farm and the plate. Many nations now seem to have many middlemen between farm and plate who remove ‘expensive’ nutrients that are replaced with cheap fillers. What else? I notice that the President ate dinner at a Max and Stacy regular and then stated that on his next visit, he wants to picnic in our local garden. He must have got the ideas from his Daily Briefings?
And, finally, the Russian uprising story is maybe a ray of hope in that there is a tipping point where even the original gulag loving, polonium 210 wielding police state government is afraid of the people. Trying to confirm reports that several protestors were spotted wearing this tee-shirt.
